  1. Haha give it a go! CCIP in the A-10 with Mk82's - it actually kinda works. Hard to hit anything accurately, but with something the size of an airport it's pretty easy. Just tried it myself and it was cool as hell when I looked over my shoulder and saw the rain of bombs falling from the sky behind me. A-10CLABS.trk
  2. Unfortunately, it's not. That was added in by GlowingAmraam.
  3. I assume open beta since the Mi-8 is STILL in open beta.
  4. Yeah, I was a bit disappointed when I heard this was added in. The actual sound effects would be nice.

    Release??

With this, the Hawk and the Sabre coming out in the next few months I'm going to be poor, busy and single!
  6. Compared to the recent teaser of the F-86F, the MiG-21 flyby does sound a little generic. Dat afterburner though...
  7. I really REALLY hope the flyby sound in the video was in game audio... I think I just had an eargasm.
  8. :holiday: Happy Birthday!
  9. Further maps will be available in 2014. Not map. Maps... Hmm... Don't get hopes up, don't get hopes up
  10. :notworthy:
  11. Hope all the bare metal will look as nice as it does on those F-86F screenshots :D
  12. This sounds brilliant. I'd love to see all the afterburners in DCS looking as gorgeous as this - even the AI ones! The stock effect is beyond awful.
  13. After a recent run in with a spot of wake turbulence in real life, I thought I'd resurrect this thread. Any progress? Would be an awesome feature and change the way that people fly the sim. Especially for formation work and landings.
  14. It sure will make a nice aggressor airframe. I'm more into western air but the MiG will be a day one purchase for me. Hell... I might even buy two to show my support.

    Release??

I've got $50 in an envelope with Leatherneck's name on it... Hope my girlfriend doesn't find it and think I'm subscribing to some weird S&M magazine. :megalol:
  16. The Bone is a 4 seater... Not sure this would be possible in DCS at the moment. Plus the sheer complexity of the aircraft and the classified nature of its systems would mean that it would take years to develop.
  17. Yeah, that's my point really. I don't necessarily agree with the way that ED do everything but DCS is the only multi-era combat sim out there that models aircraft in a way that's anywhere near realistic. For what it's worth though, I think an open bug tracker would cause more problems than it would solve. Just accept that some annoying bugs will be here for a long time to come or roll back to an earlier build where those things worked but new features are missing and other bugs still remain. There isn't a perfect solution. If ED just concentrated on fixing bugs there would be no new content and for ages and a ton of people would be complaining about that instead. We'll probably have a half broken DCS for the next few years at least but I tell you what... There will be some damn cool half broken stuff in it.
  18. The problem with DCS is that I can't ever see it being 'feature complete'. The price we pay for constant updates/modules/a new graphics engine is the constant introduction of new bugs and a lack of dedicated manpower to fix them. I guess it's a fair trade. Maybe one day everything will just work but I think that day is a long way off still.
  19. Yep... It's a PFM/ASM level jet.
  20. So... Are Aviodev actually invited to the party or are they crashing it?
  21. Make sure you're set to ILS nav mode (number 1 by default) and use this to make sure you're heading towards the right aerodrome: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=123634 Then learn to read the HSI and ADI correctly. FC3 will automatically enter the HSI course for you to line up with the runway. Using these two instruments you should be able to perform a full instrument landing.
  22. Wow, looks great... how come I haven't heard of this?!
  23. 1) Point nose at runway 2) Increase dive angle 3) Fly at the ground under full power 4) Pull up so hard at the threshold that both your wings come off at the same time 5) Slide effortlessly to a stop just in time to congratulate yourself on a job well done You're a real man now, son. (pic related)
  24. My bet is that they're working so hard on the F-86F that they've forgotten all about the Mi-8 :D
