It's the long wait between drinks that is the killer isn't it. The fact is, we want something and we want it now (F-18C is the one for me). BUT we just have to wait. With an updated graphics engine and new maps poorly needed, I can only guess ED are working on these as fast as they can. We all know they are working on different aircraft as well and nothing is for free. If ED ran a kickstarter for every module, I know I'd certainly throw more money at them. I personally would rather not have too much teaser info and get wildly surprised, but I would love to know in which quarter the expected releases are targeted for (knowing full well everything still needs to be flexible). Long live DCS and ED

Some of those models are pretty nice. The C17 is particularly good.

What a lot of people forget is that Anti Skid operates the brakes at their maximum breaking right on the point of skidding but without skidding so this in turn generates the most heat. So with anti skid on, slamming on the brakes shouldn't matter. Landing at high ground speeds would mean the brakes are on for longer and you run the risk of a brake fire (now that would be excellent if modelled in DCS). In the MB339CB, when using the emergency brake it overrides anti-skid so you have to apply it gradually. In the A10, I always land with the speed brakes deployed and a higher engine rpm On this subject, who else gets an unrealistic skidding sound when their A10 comes to a stop?

That's BF3 in 2011 :P and BF4 soon, very soon : ) BF2 however was a legendary game (2000+ hours online) that I have the fondest memories of. in game VOIP, commander mode, nothing has been the same since. Thanks Dragon for taking me back : )

Like your Sig Pman... I'm gagging for an A4K and perhaps an A6 : ) Back on track though, 1.2.6 seems to have upset things a little. Just release F-18C with a full fidelity carrier with Edge and that will keep most people happy :P

I've got one, how do you close the canopy as my mouse won't move the canopy at all, symbol changes but nothing happens at all (no I haven't read the manual yet). Love the sound of this baby when it's cranked, just stunning.

I was thinking along the lines of monetary motivation so we keep getting updates, the amount of official DCS updates is staggering in the last year. On Gadroc - Totally agree pie :yes:

Gadroc, have you considered putting a charge on your work? I think what you have done is brilliant and would most certainly pay a small fee for updated work each time there is a patch or pay for updated profiles for different aircraft? IMO Helios adds a great deal to DCS so how would you other guys feel about this?

Just a silly question Gadget, but if you connect the warthog to another PC does it work or not? Perhaps buying a 2nd hand one and canalising that might be cheaper? I've never used or installed the Target software. No need really.

Let me try this again.... have done a bit more work on the pit. A few days on... Here is the main monitor stand. I've included two areas, one for the sub woofer and the other for my new PC case (HAF XB). This unit is really nice, includes 2 x SSD's, basic water cooler and 2 x 6950's overclocked. Here is one of the side views of the incomplete main monitor stand... it's a bit rough for the grill but that was all by hand... I've bought some carpet for everything to sit on and had the edges trimmed then placed on a platform to make it stand out more like a simulator... Here are some of my panels from "Metalnwood" - thank you Jason - awesome... Here is the unit as it sits today. Nothing is quite finished yet, with lots still to do to the seat, front and side panels etc plus I need to finish sealing up the main monitor stand. The panels are just sitting on the consoles, I am routing the consoles next week and going to start mounting them. I'm very pleased with how it is coming out for a first attempt. With time, I'll get it looking as good as I can, with a full modular front and side panels. I particularly like the seat, it feels quite real to sit in and how it hangs there (this next picture is the mark 1, which I have altered but it shows how it balances.... That's enough for this update... thanks for all the inspiration from your own pits : )

I can confirm the same issue as byeohazard. I've even completely uninstalled DCS everything and reinstalled to fix other issues (which it did). Is there a printed version of the landing tutorial? I've successfully landed many times but it would be nice to know if it is doing everything correctly.

Not sure how many others have had this, but I've not had any functional MFD's on the A10C since the update. No matter what I do, they are blank. Going to uninstall everything today and do a new clean install and see if that fixes it. The other issue is I have no clue as to start the UH-1H now? EDIT: Uninstalled, downloaded all new 1.2.6 versions of everything and installed clean and all good again : )

I know we love DCS and want more modules but there is something wrong with the business model if beta products just a few weeks old is put on sale. It is ED's business and paying full price for a product here means months if not years of enjoyment but perhaps just wait 6 months after a release to have a sale for that product? I'll be buying FC3 now though : )
