I'll try to do that. The issue is it's never been completely repeatable. Sometimes it works, sometimes when I call ATC...page it closes my kneeboard, sometimes it just beeps and recognizes the command but does nothing, other times messes up VoiceAttack entirely and starts generating random keystrokes etc. Or freezes voiceattack and I have to restart it. So really, seems broken in a way that is beyond my understanding. I simply don't know what to report, other than this and the fact that I am not the only one with this type of issue tells me something somewhere is broken, software side, not user side.

It's funny this has been done by a third party in his spare time with VRKneeboard... yet seems ED cannot accomplish it.
-
not using VSPX and honestly I didn't have the time, yet, to go and find a fix or workaround for something that should work OOB... however, thanks for the pointer, I'll have a look at using the plugin as you were suggesting.

Solved, had to modify my monitor layout and now while not ideal, the kneeboard is usable again. Solved by setting "gui" at 0/0 with no offset as suggested by Bailey. I still feel this is a bug that should be reported. Basically went from this to this and it still didn't work because to have the kneeboard aligned with the kneeboard gui, the game gui has to start from 0,0. In the first case that would be ontop of monitor 1, aligned vertically with the top o monitor 6, second scenario would have that point above the left-high corner of monitor 4. To be somewhat successful, I now have to switch to this configuration every time I want to play the game (and had to change all helios profiles and monitorconfig.lua along with it) so now the kneeboard gets drawn in the red rectangle but pages and gui are aligned so I can drag the borders all the way to monitor 1 which is where I need them. Not ideal, but it is a workaround until we have a more elegant solution. And anyway I play in VR most of the time, so this problem is next to non-existent.

So do you suggest adding or modifying a "GUI" section to the monitorsetup with no x/y offsets? but then we end up with the same issue? I'm going to go try and report back...
-
Aside from it's not. On multimonitor with custom resolution the kneeboard gets bent out of place and it's impossible to move even with old software that always worked such as kneeboardbuilder. At least it works in VR. And this is WITH mods and WITHOUT mods, see this other thread here.

Having similar issues with 2560x4096 resolution, the kneeboard is all over the place (lower right corner, over MFD viewports). If I try to move it with say, kneeboardbuilder, the borders and the kneeboard itself get misaligned and distorted. no idea how to fix...

Yes, it actually makes the F18 be up there with the BRRRRRT machine for me...
-
Same here, just the ATC/Traffic/Tower...page command does not want to work sometimes. Other times it will hang my whole VAICOM and I have to restart voiceattack to fix it.
-
yes think kinda temporarily fixes my issue as well, for a couple of calls. Then the kneeboard starts acting all strange again. Either sends random keypresses, crashes VAICOM/VoiceAttack and stops showing the ATC page completely.
-
Yes, no luck.
-
The only one I can't call up is the ATC page, which would be damn useful when talking to a carrier... To clarify: I can call ATC/Traffic/Tower and it gets recognized ok from VAICOM, just it does not "flip" to the ATC kneeboard page...
-
I'd like to necro this as it is full of funny info...
-
Yeah it works for the pages, less so if you have moved the kneeboard around the screen, I guess... IDK between kneeboardbuilder, VRK, this extension and any handmade mods I might have done and forget about I feel there were too many variables. Solution: repair+clear, reinstall one by one... I am now at a point where VAICOM's kneeboard works nicely with VRK... still have to throw kneeboardbuilder in the mix and see what happens.

Yeah definitely not a problem with your design. It's just the AI that is not properly implemented, chief issue being the fact that they do not have the same energy bleeding as the player which results in bandits running vertical laps around you while you try and keep out of their guns (nigh impossible to line up a shot). Maybe, additional to lowering the AI level, the suggested "skip mission" option would be ok, or lower the "win" requirements, as in: "don't get shot down = pass", vs the current "gun hits = pass".
-
Yeah I must say I have replayed the first mission so many times, with the F18 Aggressors' version... It is boring to say the least. You can't win in a turn fight against planes that seem to have infinite energy... at most I managed to evade them, I think I scored a kill once or twice then it usually ends up in a tie for lack of time. Too bad. I'm not going to skip meals for those 10 bucks. I just wish I had done more research before buying.

TF Challenger Final Mission, Help Needed
SPAS79 replied to Exile 6-1's topic in Missions and Campaigns
IDK dude, I'm in the same situation about a year later. Mission's impossible without proper CAP. -
Having the same issue here... no idea what's wrong. I've also reset kneeboards via Kneeboardbuilder... Wait, I've just managed to load it? no idea how... Still, there's something that escapes me... probably due to the use of Kneeboardbuilder in previous times... I've tried to reset it completely and it seems to have worked. But I don't really know how this thing is supposed to work... Also: is this compatible with VRK?

Oh jeez I didn't know of this and now I do. That's an instabuy for tonight...

VRK - a virtual reality enabled kneeboard with touch and ink support
SPAS79 replied to AMVI_Rider's topic in DCS Modding
Ok, so searching for "OTT" and "Oculus Tray Tool" returned nothing, thus the question. I have set up and started using the application, which is nothing short of amazing, especially with a cheap Huion 640P (had it been wireless, it would have been perfect). Anyway, I normally have my pixel density / SS set at 1.5 from within OTT. Now the question is: how does this interact with PD set in VRK? For example, I also have it set at 1.5 in VRK, but setting still see a PD of 1 in DCS (via the OTT overlay). Disabling OTT's PD setting doesn't do anything. Putting VRK's SS on 1x and setting OTT on 1.5 seems to produce the expected results. Ontop, seems like if I start DCS from within VRK with any OTT overlay visible, VRK cannot draw the kneeboards. So the "solution" would be: use OTT PD/SS and leave VRK's SS off. I still see a lot of jagged lines with the kneeboards, but probably those are due to a different rendering technique for those? Or is it that VRK SS only applies to the kneeboards? No Idea how this is supposed to work tho... -
Yes I'm buying pointCTRL too...

I did indiegogo them, so they were in some lower range. Can't remember tbh...
