I hear ya, @ACS_Dev. Seems like a lifetime ago when I posted here on Oct 22, 2023 with findings and my inelegant workaround. Every now and again, I'll see if ED has corrected the behavior and am disappointed every time I waste time with others fiddling around with ED's VOIP. I run a dedicated server for my small group and simply use SRS. The thing just works. ... and that's why all the MP servers use it.

Tobi and 8Ball - Just want to say this little chopper has provided a massive amount of fun to me and my mates. Thank you so much for making this for the community. Looking forward to seeing what comes in the next patch. Below is a video I put together yesterday for my buddies and they suggested I share it here on this thread for other Cayuse fans. This captures one of my most memorable DCS experiences is many years. Hope you all enjoy. A couple of notes. (1) There is all sorts of NSFW language in this video. Please don't play around sensitive ears. (2) The beginning shows a B-52 landing at Anderson skip forward to 1:09 for the Cayuse action. (3) This was filmed in VR so there's lots of head movement. Vertigo warning. -

Sorry to hear you're having difficulty with this incredible creation from Tobi and 8Ball. All I can say is my multiplayer group has been loving this little helo since it released. Is it challenging? Yes. But at the same time extremely rewarding once you've become familiar with the flight characteristics. Personally, I don't think Tobi/8ball has to "work anything out" with this modification. I'm sure they are working to improve many things, but based on my experience with my mates, it's far from "impossible" to fly. If you're a video person, here are a couple of videos my buddy @Devil 505 put together. Maybe these help - note the second video has adult language NSFW. Hope you find yourself having a great time in the Cayuse soon. -

@Rudel_chw - once again, you come through with a solution!! Thank you, sir! Here's what I did. When calculating the random number that is placed into the "CCP_Rando1_#" variable (and all others), I turned on a new flag called "Randos_Calculated". I only allow the evaluation of the FLAG IS LESS THAN FLAG once the random numbers are determined. As you can see below, the logic works perfectly. I should only have 2 groups spawned and that's exactly what occurred. For some reason I thought the DCS triggers had a sequence to them based on where they were in the list of triggers. A ONCE trigger at the top of the list would be evaluated before a ONCE trigger at the bottom. Today, I learned that isn't the case thanks to Rudel. Hopefully this helps future mission editors. Thanks to all who replied. -

Yeah I have checked those - and rechecked. And will check them AGAIN because there's SOMETHING off here and it feels like its me. Yet there was that nasty "Group in Zone" trigger defect that hung around for months recently so I am just a wee bit cautious that I may have stumbled on another one. FWIW, I've used # and % in variable names for quite some time and have seen them work. Again, something recent may have broken that so IDK. I may have to go back and rename the variables and see. Seems so simple now that we've got it working. For some reason it took the 3 of us weeks to get it figured out. Haaaa - maybe that says more about us!! @Devil 505, I'd say make the video - maybe even post it in its own thread so future community members can find it easier via keyword or thread title search. -
I can't, for the life of me figure out where I've gone wrong here. I've spent the last 2 hours debugging this and still can't figure it out. Is there possibly a defect in the current release regarding how the core evaluates a trigger with "FLAG IS LESS THAN FLAG" statement? Are my variables using special characters that the interpreter doesn't like? Do mods possibly impact trigger logic? Here's the trigger - pretty simple. I have a fixed % variable that compared against a random # variable that's evaluated in this statement. If the random number is less than the % number a random group spawns and I add 1 to a group counter so I can keep track of the number of groups on the map. It appears as though this statement evaluates as TRUE regardless of the variables. I have an in game message that I trigger via the F10 radio to show the values of the variables. In this particular example above there should only be 3 groups spawned (5, 6, and 9) but the system spawns all 12. The posted trigger above is just for the Rando1 spawn. There are 11 more, one for each random group. I removed the OR clause in the triggers thinking that might be causing the issue and received the same results. Hopefully I am just doing something silly and someone can square me away. Tagging a few folks to see if they can assist given your help in the past. @cfrag, @Rudel_chw, @Grimes

Hopefully this is just the start of community content adoption. I'd much prefer ED spend precious development resources on content that pushes the sim/game forward that the community hasn't also created on their own. Having Massun92's assets in the base for everyone is a great decision in my mind. There are others in the community also pushing the envelope as it relates to assets. Hopefully ED is talking with them as well. Crossing fingers this works out for everyone and there's more asset adoption in the future.

I've recently been experiencing this same issue on my 8kx. I am running the latest drivers from Nvidia (I have a 4090) as well as pimax @Calvin.Pimax, should I also try flashing that debug version? I am running at 120Hz -

Flew v1.1 today, nice update fellas! Thanks for squaring away all those keybinds. This VR player appreciates it greatly. SRS question. Is anyone able to get it to work? I am used to turning on the radio, tuning to proper freq and everything just works fine. This doesn't seem to work in the Cayuse - at least I can't seem to figure it out. Core DCS voice does NOT work for my group. Hasn't since release. Anyone able to experience MP with voice traffic using SRS? Thanks. -
Here's my first flight from yesterday for anyone interested. Flew the Hornet and the Huey. My impressions were "mixed" if I'm honest. I spent a couple of hours in cockpit just flying around taking in the terrain. The video below is edited down to 25 minutes of that experience. Chapters are included so you can skip to spots I felt were worth calling out. My favorite part of the video starts at the 12 minute mark where I discover Bodo in the Hornet. VR performance is "okay". If I let myself get immersed, I don't notice anything that breaks the immersion. If I look for the studders, I see them. For me, I can live with this. Helo flight starts at the 17:15 mark of the video. The fact they haven't even tested VR (stated in Social Media) floors me. I am amazed it runs this well with no attention to VR from the devs. Highpoint: Bodo Terrain in the Hornet (12:00 mark of video) Lowpoint: 2 CTDs (DCS completely stopped executing and was killed). First captured at 3:40 of video coming from F10 map to F1 cockpit in Hornet.

I've still only flown it twice. Last time was when I recorded that video. Talking to a buddy of mine, he's of that same opinion. I'll give it a try next time I'm in DCS. I prefer the slow and sexy ascent, but I have yet to see anything resembling that first hand. That's the only weapon I haven't tried yet. Adding to my list of must do's. I intend to see how I can push the speed and cornering of the AH-6. I am pretty sure I'll be testing this along with the Kola map later today. My first attempt at this resulted in the Helo upside down in the trees. Over controlling and ham fisted cyclic don't go well here. I love it! -
