Excellent: I was wondering about the compatibility. I've seen the original vids on the WH stick installation and it did not seem any more difficult than when I had to open my stick and replace some switches. I hope VKB are not discouraged and will have another batch ready soon. Thanks for the feedback - very much appreciated.

Hi Sokol, I have notification set for there. Are you saying that they may actually also offer the F-18 stick adapter? It would be nice if the adapter worked with both the F-18 and A-10 stick. That would make me buy the F-18 stick. Thanks

Hi Guys, One of my wishes is that VKB would make an adapter kit for the F-18C TM Joystick for the Gunfighter II base. I recall somewhere that this is not in the works. For those who already have the adapter kit for the WH stick, it would mean a small board re & re. I've also seen pics of someone in Russia having done this themselves and it looks great.

The software is indeed powerful. My problem is trying to figure out what to choose as there can be several options. I personally would like samples of how to configure certain fundamental procedures similar to how the TM manual shows examples for their script programming. I mean examples shown in a subset all together. With samples, I can substitute and try different options but without examples, I am completely lost. That's just me but I suspect there are many others in the same position. Thanks for a great product overall. I'm looking forward to the day when I can configure the stick - and upcoming throttle, the way I want them to work - not relying on the SIM program to do that. Thanks again.

Hi, In the MB, I would like to see an option wherein you could have AI repeat a waypoint route once reaching the end of the waypoints. For example, in a sim long, long ago - at the last waypoint, you could link it to any other waypoint and the AI would fly that route continually after reaching the last waypoint. This is good for repeating cap patrols in specific areas and altitudes. I would like to see it in the waypoints selection as a mouse click on the routes and not as a script file. Thanks

+1 The root of complicated processes reduced so the average user can interpret and implement. Systems are designed for those that do not tech speak but utilize them. Project managers are trained to convert tech speak into simplified terms for executives and users and in terms of end-results.

I think it is the runway threshold approach beacon as you pass over it whether landing or departing.

Hi Sokol, I would also like to know if the OP has posted conclusions as to how it works. Thanks, Cats . . . . .

Thanks jojo, I'll have a try with your settings and see what happens. I have my lens inserts coming from Poland and when I get them it will help in sorting out the settings with the system I've got. Thanks for your feedback. Cats . . . .

Hi jojo, Interesting, I have almost the same setup except for just a 1080 card. I never thought of using the SS x 1.5 in the DebugTool. Would you mind telling me what you have ingame for: AF, SSAA, PD? This would help me a great deal getting my head around VR settings. Thanks so much, Cats . . . .

They just pop in and out. Easy-peasy. Check this link: https://widmovr.com/product-category/lenses-adapters/ and . . . . this link: I ordered these - note the cover over the lens to protect it when removed. The SIM has an image in the cockpit similar to RL. So the front panel gauges may be a little close for you (and me) as they are not at full distance corrected vision for us. More like mid/long range. But . . . . . zoom view works great for when looking at them and also you can change the FOV within the sim for better perspective. Cheers, Cats . . . .

Is the 2080s out now? I'm going to look at this also.

The lens correction you should be using is the one that adjusts your vision for distant vision. My one eye is near sighted and the other is far sighted. My prescription is set for distant vision default for both eyes. I just ordered lens inserts so I don't have to wear glasses. The prescription I used for those lenses is for distant vision only both eyes. Anything less than distant vision will not focus correctly on the image created by the headset. The image is created for distance vision. (for the average person). If you choose a near-sighted lens, you will be focussing on the screen only. The pixels if you will and you should be looking through the screen (not at it) towards the distance. Use the zoom feature in the sim if you want to be a bit closer to the gauges. I use progressive lenses in everyday life. I have readers for reading also. But for outdoor sports, motorcycling, I have sunglasses set for distant vision and also for watching TV. (without the tint). Ain't eyesight wonderful for some of us. :) Hope this makes sense. ps: if you have binoculars - test the adjustment you have to make in them for distant viewing by first wearing a distant prescription and then using a readers prescription. :) The VR headset does not have the function of changing focal length like a pair of binoculars. It is fixed for distant viewing and therefore you need to make the adjustment within your own prescription for distant vision. The same with having a diopter adjustment created for an advanced camera.

FW-190 armored glass color and opacity. It's too green and too dark.

Another issue of "artistic license" versus reality check? -
Just to clarify - you're inverted and pushing on the stick?

vkb doesnt want my money it seems...always out of stock

Excellent news! -
Yes on the bifocals it does matter. You will need a distant vision lens for VR. The Rift-S is set for distant vision. I've just had my prescription made for distant vision for VR and normal everyday use is progressive lenses.

Yes indeed! Many very good memories.

+1 Clearly demonstrated in this video.

You are incorrect. :)

Yup, saw Goose. Also saw that he jammed the throttles forward in the correct direction unlike pulling them back for acceleration in the original movie. :)

Davee replied to Davee's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This is what I have decided to do and then compare specs. and price. Thanks to everyone for their much valued information. This is a great group to glean information from that sorts out the hype from the data. Thanks guys, -
Upgrade 1080 to 2070 super - Worth it?
Davee replied to Davee's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
This makes sense as the 1080ti outperforms the 2070 super by quite a bit. Will check around for resellers. Nice tip. -

Quite right. Not enough difference in performance for the buck. Thanks for the link.
