  1. Yup, this is the answer. I have an IPD of 65 set in my Rift S and my "scaling" in the FA-18C is set to 35. I obtained this by doing the above - comparing the size of the virtual stick and my real stick and also my virtual forearm and hand compared to mine. Works like a charm.
  2. Gunfighter Mk II to Mk III upgrade kit just arrived. Awaiting notification for the long desktop mount. and . . . . installed. I like the new Soft Cams compared to the soft center old cams. Hard to explain but the stick travel seems gentle in the center and progresses smoother towards max. Also, there was for me, a mushy feel in the old cams around center. That is gone and with a single new #50 spring each axis (instead of the old 30+20 each axis) and the TM F-18 stick it snap returns to the center area. I'm heading for Nirvana.
  3. Hi, Can someone tell me if the cam with soft center in the current Mk II Gunfighter (not the upgrade) is linear? Just comparing info to the new upgrade Mk III aero cams Thanks
  4. My Mk II to Mk III full upgrade kit has left Hong Kong today Dec 26 and inbound via Cincinatti HUB according to DHL traking info. Ordered about 2 wks ago.
  5. What is your criteria? How do you measure "worth it" in your world?
  6. Why is the sky blue? What colour is an orange?
  7. Oh my! Well done guys. Regrettably, I just purchased a competitor's unit and sure would have liked a bit of a promo on when to expect this. It helps the consumer make decisions. Even just the month projected for production runs would be great. Looking forward to what else comes online.
  8. Agreed! I prefer not to have a flat slider type of throttle.
  9. Hi Sokol1, What I mean is a male nut adapter/converter for the Gunfighter base to allow a TM Stick to mount on the VKB base and with the electronic adapter. I have my F-18 stick mounted and also want to mount my WH stick but would prefer not to have to buy another adapter like they have now. One male adapter with electronic adapter on a small extention on the VKB base would be great.
  10. I have learned that when you drop the airspeed below 200 Knots, airbrake out - wheels and flaps down not until 180 or less then the balooning is minimal. You will need gentle throttle at this point while you trim for AOA. Then gently does it with the throttle.
  11. What I would like to see is a modification that is the TM screw ring adapted to the VKB mount. That would open up many doors for sales for VKB (IMHO). That way, I could keep the standard TM ring mount as provided by TM and screw it onto a ring adapter from VKB. Many people do not want to open a new Joystick and nullify their warranty to install the current VKB adapter. Surely this could be achievable by VKB? or . . . . our brilliant third party enthusiasts?
  12. Really needs to be metal as the tensions can be great. Go to VKB website and check out their offerings/accessories. It is shown there. Quite a substantial product.
  13. Yes, they suddenly show up and then are gone very quickly. I managed to get notified on the last one and ordered it as soon as possible. It works on both the WH Throttle and with a little bit of filing, it fits the F-18 and works just fine.
  14. This is an excellent site. I just broke my pinkie three way toggle on my WH left side throttle. And my TM WH Stick right index finger switch just failed. Geeze - yes, they are both about 10 years old. I'm still searching but there are sooooo many products to choose from. Would you happen to have a number reference in your files for this switch? Any of your excellent help much appreciated Sokil1. Cheers
  15. Correct - you would have to order the mount adapter from VKB to mount the TM stick.
  16. If just rebranding - it is a big disappointment indeed!
  17. 2705 received today and installed. High quality product and a good place to do business. Finally using this control after 10 years. Works superbly. Instructions very clear. Pleased.
  18. Can't tell until I receive it but posts in this thread show it is great. I'm looking forward to it so I can use the correct buttons for the F-18.
  19. OK, Mine has gone. Before, I had the drift left and checked my physical systems. All were dead centered on calibration software. I use an F-18 stick on a VKB Gunfighter II base. I then went into F2 view and saw that both rudders were slightly left when viewing from 6 o'clock. I removed my rudders and uninstalled all software links and used the keyboard commands. The drift was still there and still visual on the rudders. I removed the stick and unscrewed the dampers until the screws felt loose - then retightened until I could feel a slight resistance and then backed off one quarter turn. I have no dampening now. To my knowledge I never did. I don't know if dampening would show on the center settings or would show a slight offset. I then went into the F-18 commands setup and increased the deadzone of x and y axis from 5 to 8 and gave the rudders a 10 deadzone. Restarted and it flew straight and the rudder visual was gone. I don't know which did the trick but I can tell you it is now flying like it used to. I deleted my bug report.
  20. I think this is accurate and I've found that joining a squadron or flying multiplayer energizes me with new objectives and having to learn certain systems. In other words - a reason for flying. :)
