My thought is that they could certainly increase their sales if they were to promote in advance upcoming development. People like me would certainly make decisions based on market trends. Such is the nature of free-enterprise to try and capture advance sales.

Ah, thanks for this info. I've been trying to determine the appropriate approach speed and find that I'm too fast until the flair. This bird likes to fly and knowing these specs will give me some incentive to continue to pitch up using the stick to obtain the 11 degree's necessary. Up until now, I'm falling back halfway to the Hornet methodology which I know to be incorrect but it has been working quite well with a little pitch just before the flair.

My understanding of G onset is that 9G sustained is a difficult issue for the pilot , yet 9G instantaneous turn is doable a number of times. Adjustments for blackout might need evaluation by the Devs here.

+1 Despite what other's think about not using trim, I have to say that one maybe two notches of trim on final really helps to put the bracket in the optimum spot. Then just fly the jet.

There was a hotfix. Some folks were getting a black screen in certain conditions. It is fixed in the hotfix.

With the aircraft running parked, I can fire the cannon when selected via Dogfight Switch Back. Master Arm is ON.

I just looked at my old Cougar gear. Totally canibalized Joystick - major components are gone but . . . I kept the board! So, I've mounted that board in a small box and will plug in the Throttle tomorrow and then the board to the USB connection on my computer. It should work fine as I think I tested this in the past. What I don't know, is how DCS will recognize the Cougar throttle and the WH Throttle if I have them both connected at the same time. We'll see. Cheers

Nice! My setup has limitations so for me, it's one or the other. I would instantly purchase a complete revision kit if TM would come out with it. I mean complete, buttons, switches, rotaries, hal sensor, USB and a modified friction control. At minimum I'll buy rel4y's update kit as the buttons and other still work but a little wonky in some areas. One can only wish.

WAGS gave a big clue when the Viper would be released in one of his vids. He stated that the last video before release would be the Startup because certain systems were not yet in place. When the startup video is released, the Viper release is imminent. So, I am also awaiting the release of the startup vid for the implication.

Way back in the day - waaaaay back, in another F-16 SIM, I recall that when the aircraft was loaded with A/G ordnance the airframe creaked and groaned when you approached G limits. It did not groan when loaded with A/A ordnance. To me, that was an auditory information that I was reaching certain limits. A nice touch even though not super accurate.

For me, and I've had the HOTAS system since first released: The throttle is very good. (first issue bricked board - replaced). The Stick is great but . . . . . not the base gimbal assembly. I will not by another one if it has the same gimbal setup. I have mated my WH stick to my VKB Gunfighter base and wow, what a nice setup.

A resurected Cougar Throttle with a USB connection would be great. I wonder if they have to start from scratch or refurbish any throttles unsold over the years. There is a little niche market right now for this.

This is it! What a great piece of information. Overhauling this throttle, which is in otherwise great condition is the way to go. Can't wait to complete the project and get hands on an old friend. :thumbup: Cats . . . .
