  1. Man, that is epic. Thanks again from CSG-1
  2. Not that I don't agree with your statement but I think the days of DCS only being a combat simulator are gone.
  3. There was a anti-radiation missile tested on the Mirage but never implemented as far as I can find. The topic came up a lot before the module was released. I'm sure it could be implemented by Razbam but it would probably require a lot of work and be questionable in regards to real life. In my opinion, it would greatly enhance the usability of the Mirage and be a superb addition.
  4. Sorry Verde, but you simply do not understand the tech.
  5. meh
  6. The future is bright!!
  7. I may be delightfully surprised with the release of 2.5 but I don't think I will be. Thats probably a 3.5 topic.
  8. Yeah I agree with Art, there is no such thing as max settings. We would need mulitcore and SLI support for such a thing to exist. With that, I also agree with Art on the CPU and GPU. I run a 4790K at 4.6Ghz (OC'd from 4.0), and a 1080. I would get a few more FPS with a TI version. I also suggest 32Gig of Ram and an SSD for faster loading times.
  9. Put DCS on a SSD. Problem solved.
  10. I went to an airshow in Cold Lake. They were selling 410 Cougar T-shirts and Polo shirts. I bought one of each. I wore both on a fairly regular basis. One day at the grocery store a lady and her husband noted the polo shirt and my first words were that I had bought it at an airshow and had no military background, only appreciation. Turned out the husband was a former CF-18 pilot. We talked for about 15 minutes and went back to shopping. Its all good as long as your not a poser.
  11. This is a topic that is discussed on a regular basis. To cut through the clutter the bottom line is that most of us are running the rift with a PD of 1.5 or greater which is rendering 5-7million pixels. The native resolution of the Pimax will be less than that meaning that if you are getting 45 FPS now, you'll get it when you put on your Pimax.
  12. Some of us have it on order and a very patiently awaiting its arrival. Earliest estimate is the end of February.
  13. In 2.??? when you enter the mission editor and click on "new" you will have the option to choose between Nevada and Normandy at this time. I can only assume when 2.5 comes you will have the other options in the same fashion.
  14. Vegas cool, only a 22 hour drive. Maybe a ... ... never mind. Kidding. Looks cool, cheap flights, thats a solid possibility.
  15. Good article here on SLI: https://www.pcworld.com/article/3071332/hardware/its-true-nvidias-geforce-gtx-1080-officially-supports-only-2-way-sli-setups.html Nvidia supports 2 way SLI but no longer supports 3 or 4 cards in SLI configuration. As pointed out, even that is irrelevant with ED not supporting even 2 way SLI. I had 2-780's at one point and it gave no value at all. Crysis, hell yeah, but not in DCS. At this point, I would say that 2 way SLI is more than enough if it were supported given the current inability to utilize multi-core CPU's. If we had both, life would be grand.
  16. This!!!!
  17. Best map out there. Love it in VR with the Harrier. The water is amazing.
  18. A very seasoned real world pilot in our ranks often talks about the Mig-21 having a very real feel to it.
  19. I always use the in game menu. You may get the odd key bind that goes astray with an update but its rare. Obviously early access modules are more susceptible, however even they seem to very rarely require modification.
  20. What happens in Home Depot, stays in Home Depot. :smilewink:
  21. Thanks Art, I got what I need.
  22. I cannot for the life of me find the diy for the parts required to use the plastic pipe. Anybody have a link?
  23. Thanks for the links Mainstay, lmao, that first one is hilarious. Maybe when I'm 80. The second one is probably close to what I want but dam, its expensive and sold out anyway. Art, I have a TMWH with a 10cm extension. I hadn't thought about your approach. The stick in the Hornet is actually above the cutout section by 10 or so cm so it should in theory work as is in reality. Do you have a pic?
