  1. Does anyone know if they ever updated this Mod for 2.5-8 and where to get it, if they did. I am after the working vehicles that they had in this Mod, which were excellent.

  4. Thanks Rudel, I could not find that earlier (it's my age !!) - if he wants to change to that Mod I have a few skins to go with it, and there are quite a few more on the same site.
  5. I believe this F4 started life under a different ownership/name and VSN then took it on, but that was quite a few years ago and I forget all the detail. The original Mod used the DCS skins format for the model, but when VSN did it they recreated the skins in a different way, so the ED skins no longer work on the latest VSN F4 Mod. Your only other options are do some yourself or move to a different F4 Mod, I think the F4 Mod by Sanikkat is quite good, if you can find it. I have a feeling he withdrew everything a while ago, I dont know why.

  7. I wonder if this is ever going to get fixed, I have tried all the suggested fixes with nothing positive to report and there does not appear to be anything coming from the Mad makers. (Correct me if I am wrong !) I will be sad to see such a super little flyable aircraft return to the AI only version.

  9. I cant get anything to open on that link - I dont mean the Discord, I mean the splitair.gumroad link. I click on the "I want this" button and nothing happens, tried many times.
  10. There is always the danger that you will run out of idea (I'm joking of course) so we feel the need to help you decide ... and it keeps your thread at the top of the list.
  11. How about something unusual for a change - A Shackleton AEW, or an MR3, that will test your skills, Contra Rotating props, tail dragger for the AEW. They were still flying in the DCS era, just !! I do like the 295 Casa as well, or a Spartan, both quite rare beasts in military guise of course.
  12. Even with that .dll it still crashes 2.8 in Flyable mode, works in AI though.
  13. The original DCS front, centre and back main texture files all had an alpha layer. The recent updated much improved and nicely weathered texture files do not. If you use those texture files without the alpha layers you get white solid fences, box shaped aerials and its apparent on all three texture files. You have to find copies of the originals, extract the alpha layers and apply them to the new texture files. Here is a copy of my alpha layers: f = front, c = centre and b = back. I have also included a copy of each of the main dds files WITH the alpha layer applied, but no numbers or names. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ibmng2vrpj8qvqe/alpha.zip?dl=0 You will have to create your own Liveries files from what I have given you, I have a different setup and textures arrangement which wont suit everyone.

  15. Yes, it was a bit of a tricky decision, I sat on it for ages and ages because it was a bit of a mix and match of other peoples work. I only ever did it for my own convenience really, I wanted to have the stuff I use a lot in one place in the ME and that was what I came up with several years ago. If I redid it today I would do it very differently, but I dont have time to start it again so unless anyone complains loudly I will leave it out there for now.
  16. I have both of those installed Eight Ball and there isnt a conflict that I am aware of, but I do explain in the Readme that is a risk with this Mod. I used your edm's and texture files for both Mods so there shouldnt be any conflict as such, there isnt any animation going on in my Mod to cause a conflict, its just static eye candy, but I would like to hear of other issues that might prove my understanding to be wrong. If I am wrong then perhaps I should just remove it completely, to avoid anyone getting upset.

  19. Okay - here it is, updated to work in 2.8. I know you wont bother but do read the ReadMe, it will explain how this mod came about, how it works, what is can do and what it cant do, why certain things you might expect to work dont work and why lots of things appear in several different places, which is what is supposed to happen. I have no idea what Mods you have installed in your games but I do know that this Mod does not conflict with any of the Mods I have installed, ie the other Mods I have used in this Mod, so if you have a problem it's unlikely I can solve it for you. All this mod does is enhance a number of existing Mods created by others and make them available in one place to be used as Eye Candy. With a couple of little freebie Easter eggs thrown in with my thanks to Hawkeye who found them and created them as statics for me. Thanks for your kind words guys, the consequences of too many years jumping in and out of too many helicopters and airoplane's, falling in and out of too many landing craft, being run over by all manner of weird military vehicles whilst living in holes in the ground up to my neck in icy mud, but would I do it all again if I could - TOO DAMN RIGHT I WOULD !! The money was good and so is the pension !! Life is an adventure, got to enjoy the whole package otherwise there is no point to any of it. Had a good look at the Mod and made a start on it tonight, I had already done a little work on the update a while ago (which I had completely forgotten about !!) so it should not take too long. A day or so if its good, a bit longer if I have to sort out the textures and Liveries again. The mod will include a couple more things that are not shown in those images above, it's all eye candy of course but I use it all the time, makes the scenarios a bit more realistic.

Nope, I have been in and out of hospital a lot over the last 18 months with a serious spinal problem, just had the surgery I have been waiting 5 years for and I'm in a slow recovery process right now. Tending to do the easy stuff for now whilst I restrict my time on my PC and this will need starting afresh, there is a lot of stuff that needs updating or removing because its private, I dont want to upset anyone. I'll consider myself reminded to get on with this though ... its started, be patient.
  22. This function appears to be faulty: In some areas in Beagle Sound if you remove a boat on the water it just falls to the sea floor, so from above you can still see it. Some buildings and other objects cannot be removed in isolation, you have to remove a much larger area with everything in that area before it works. Many of the buildings are half into the side of sloping hills and half out, that just looks weird close up. The map itself is superb, having been down there in my youth, so I'm sure it will just get better and better. BZ to the makers.
  23. Default duplication - Yes, I'm not sure why that happens, might be something to do with the lua's perhaps, will investigate later.
  24. Liveries Folder within the Mod itself, beside all the other ships types liveries.
