  1. Unrealistic? Compared to what plane you've flown?
  2. I meant that GS doesn’t matter if we’re talking real flying and that’s what I was referring to.
  3. If you’re talking to me, yes. Ground speed doesn’t matter. IAS
  4. What are you comparing these "non-realistic" sounds to? Is it just a feeling or thought of how you think it should be or because you've sat in any cockpit and heard them?
  5. Just FYI but IIRC, the max speed for the S3 when refueling is less than 250 knots. I will ask again but one of the guys I fly with and have known for 20 years was an S3 guy. It came from him. I get it, second hand info but...
  6. I know what he was talking about, he also said that if he rolls 45 degrees he's stomping full rudder. You're doing exactly what I said not to do...lol thinking too much. Use enough rudder if you're using it, to center the ball. Use it just in the pattern? No, you really shouldn't have to think about it if you're going to use it, it's feel and sight picture and yes, you can still do it in a sim.
  7. Just use the rudder to keep the ball centered. No need to get so deep into the weeds.
  8. After all is said and done, a Tornado would be a valuable addition. It would just be nice to get a "set" of aircraft instead of them being all over the place.
  9. If you do the training it tells you exactly what to do.
  10. I hope you can't do this in MP. I wish that stuff was totally locked out.
  11. Again, the Viggen, a tangent...
  12. I’d rather see a compliment of other naval aircraft to the 14 and 18 before going off on a tangent.
  13. With that attitude, you're probably SOL
  14. Someone else may want to chime in, but I'm pretty sure you can not manually adjust the elevator trim unless you're using half or full flaps.
  15. I thought there was no manual trim unless you had half or full flaps selected. In auto it's auto trim.
  16. It’s not happening now???
  17. The only point I’m making is that the difference between the two in clarity is not noticeable. The biggest thing is that the 15’s are dual. It’s not a big deal really. As far as people complaining about focusing in on the instruments, it’s already been mentioned but I’ll repeat it...in reality you are looking beneath the nods to view instruments, not through the nvg’s themselves
  18. Other than the fact that 14’s are monocular, there is no difference in the clarity as compared to PVS15’s or similar nvg’s after extensive use of both.
  19. Zoom in general should be removed, unless we're issued binoculars with the plane we're flying.
  20. Your 34k lbs landing weight is a restricted weight. FYI You can only do that if certain parameters are met.
  21. Instead of just using "low" weight to land, use the actual maximum landing weight for a CV of 33k lbs.
  22. It would be nice if they set the vapor to only work after certain airspeeds so it's not constantly coming off the wings while sitting still on the deck of a carrier.
  23. Without looking into the actual systems, I'd be highly surprised if the engine driven pumps didn't have electric backup pumps. As far as the APU, the only thing that's going to supply is electric power if it's also got a generator, but I don't know if it's designed for that.
  24. Let me guess, we should all be using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. lol I can't think of a stick that is better than the Warthog...
  25. Now you just have to deal with not being able to see anything lol
