  1. From the broadcasters perspective I think the F-5s needed those tanks due to being on the burner a lot, but failing to jettison them was definitely a mistake, probably due to the newness of the airframe. I didn't mention tactical terrain considerations in the brief because I wanted to leave that to the Captains to exploit should they take it into consideration and I had to avoid coming across as playing to one airframe or the other. Team Tiger flew great but having been monitoring both channels I must be frank and say Team Fishbed began planning and holding extensive tactical discussion the second they entered their private channel, whereas I did prod Team Tiger just a bit by reminding them they could use the time before the match to plan. I think this further played out to Fishbed's advantage I agree Team Tiger should utilize mountain terrain to their advantage in the future and avoid the open flat areas that play to the Fishbed's superior climb performance and speed, but again the fog of war made things hectic and Team Fishbed was running some great teamwork. Zooker provided some good insight from Team Tiger above
  2. Haven't tested much in ripple but I suspect that may pose a challenge to get working correctly. I will work at it and see if I can get it working right
  3. Imposters are certainly a point of discussion and something we are working on a ruling for the second round. Another consideration is VR users (I am a Rift owner myself) certainly enjoy having the options for them, so that is another consideration. Seeing if participants are using VR may be worth checking in round two Did anyone from Round 1 use a VR headset?
  4. Thank you for the good feedback, Frostie, and great flying! Yea the imposter settings are a challenge and something we will be looking at hard for round two. I really appreciate you guys coming in back to back after that match. I for one was really impressed by the cool head and teamwork on the Fishbed team! For those interested in a Tacview, Yes, I will have one available soon (Special thanks to Tiger-GR-Tiger for providing one since the server ACMI took a dump) and a link that that will be on the first post after I've reviewed for accuracy. So far it's matching the recorded coverage perfectly!
  5. I would totally agree. As I review the Tacview and recording preparing the video to post online I can see two or three occasions were Team Tiger was in a position to win the furball, however Fishbed turned the tide with excellent tactics. I also agree on match size- this size was just right and I think for this series we will sustain it going forward, maybe a larger scale match down the road in another series. I'm stoked for round 2 and the chance for Tiger to get some payback, or Fishbed to hold what they got!
  6. Hey guys, Got busy with running the F-5 Vs MiG 21 match and stream, that is all finished now so I'll turn my attention back to getting a mod working. Had a couple issues in testing but I've gotten MER 5s working on all wing stations
  7. Thanks for watching and the kind words! I was glad to see such an event was successful and I appreciate you tuning in
  8. Thank you for coming! Great flying. The sportsmanship was outstanding tonight- in any PVP event emotions run high and both teams stayed positive and friendly throughout. I really appreciate that and it reflects well on the community!
  9. It was recorded, I will have a video of it up in a couple days
  10. I would agree, all opponents fought with honor and we had some good pilots for sure, but Team Fishbed used some decisive tactics to include ambush and destroying the enemies AWACs. The Tiger had a tough hand dealt to it tonight and I think it will do better with improved AIM-9P5s, but teamwork was king tonight.
  11. Did not know that, thanks for the tip!
  12. Thank you! Debrief thread is up! Really appreciate all your help and the feedback!

  14. the match is going strong! Hop in and enjpy! 35 mins through so far
  15. The Twitch Stream is Up!!! See first post for link
  16. Excellent! Adding to the list-, see you in a couple hours!
  17. Just bought a sidewinder 2 FFB stick from a friend, it'll be here in a few days. I look forward to checking out these effects myself for the first time! Anything I need to know as a new FFB stick owner?
  18. The match is going down in just a few hours! We have a slot open so last minute sign ups are much needed! Also if you are interested in filling no show slots please be in the TS lobby listed in the first post at 2230 Zulu, sharp! Elements of Team Tiger were observed practicing in the TS server last night.... Hopefully Team Fishbed will be equally as prepared :) Really hoping we get a solid turnout so we can do this thing!
  19. Testing of the server, Teamspeak, Live stream and recording all went well! All systems go! Zulu time conversions posted to first page
  20. Speak for yourself concerning additions! :) New variants, Ploychop Simulations style, would be awesome! I really would like to see 3rd parties expand variants even as paid add on content
  21. Yes sir! Brief starts at 2230 Zulu Sharp, match kicks off shortly there after once everyone is pitted, com checked and ready. I'll be posting converted Zulu times to the front page today for Easy reference
  22. I'll remove you from the active roster. We need some reserve pilots! Please show up on the Teamspeak Sunday at match start time, as we will fill open slots first come first serve
  23. As the event draws closer I wanted to put out some information- I'll update first page as needed Attendance is a cocncern is sometimes not everyone who reserved will be there, so we will push with a minimum of four pilots on each team. Hoping for a full house! Teamspeak Detials have been posted- the Game Server info will be shared on team speak during the event briefing. This is to prevent unauthorized attendees from crashing the party :) The event match time will be 75 minutes, with the option for overtime should the scores be tied. The clock will start ticking from the moment both teams begin rolling down the runway, so briefing and set up will not chip away at this time Each team will be equipped with 18 aircraft (assuming full turn out, will be adjusted on the basis of 3 aircraft per player should attendance not be full) meaning each player can in theory respawn twice after their first life. In addition there will be multiple ground targets serving as score opportunities for each team, and each teams ground targets mirror the others. At the end of 75 minutes- the team that has killed the most aircraft, ground targets, or BOTH will be the victor! Note that the only way to end the match before 75 minutes will be to destroy all of the opposing teams aircraft, otherwise it will depend on scoring at match end As you guys know this event is planned on being live streamed and recorded for public enjoyment, which will probably include voice communications, so sportsmanlike conduct and reasonably clean language is requested :) EDIT: regarding the latest patch to 2.0 that included some F-5 fixes- while I would love to move the match to 2.0 and utilize those fixes it isn't right for me to ask the contestants to change plans at such short notice, particularly with 2.0 being paid content. The match will continue as planned on 1.5, and I know the Tigers have their work cut out for them, but following rounds will take place in whichever version has the best F-5 be it 2.0 or 1.5 (or maybe 2.5??? Let's hope so!)
  24. I've removed you... Chimango- you've been bumped up from the reserve to an active slot
  25. Awesome! This are some of the big ones!
