AWESOME! Cannot wait to try the SA342L! Excellent work and communication, Polychop! Extraordinarily happy with this purchase!
-
Totally agreed! It will be a blast, trust me :)

I'm in! Now for the wait...

Very true. The MiG gets referred to as comblock junk a lot but for it's time it was impressive. I am surprised the Tiger does not have any AP functions tho!

I for one would love to see some major work go into CA. I use it for almost every coop mission I run with my group and the commander function is just awesome. More in depth vehicles or infantry would be awesome, but I would also like an RTS style overhead 3D view that could be used by the commander. I think this could be done with relatively low amount of work and add so much to the commander experience

Sounds like an incorrect ARG value in the weapons lau. Perhaps a reinstall of the module will fix it the above does not?

I'm glad to see this feedback from the real pilots. I believed from the start the FM was solid, and have had zero issue flying this chopper from the first minute in the cockpit. Was surprised to see so many people claiming it was uncontrollable, as I feel more in control of this helo than any other in the sim. Awesome work, Polychop

Is ED planning such an update? Would be awesome for sure

Didn't want to start a new thread just for this, but I am curious. Any possibility we may get the SA 342L variant down the road? From what I read it was able to carry six HOT missiles which would be pretty cool! Not that I'm complaining, the 4 HOTs can do some damage as is. Thanks for the awesome release Polychop, I love this bird!

POLL: Interest in a weekly or bi-weekly community CO-OP night
Hook47 replied to Hook47's topic in Multiplayer
Hey guys, Thanks for the response. I can see we are divided on the hosting time which is tricky! My schedule does limit me a bit but I am planning on giving the first community co-op night a go on SUNDAY MAY 8 @ 1930 PST (USA) I know this may be difficult for our friends in the EU, and I will strive to make a new time work ASAP. I will be starting a new thread with details about the get together and use that thread to announce mission nights going forward. This will probably be Bi-weekly until a new time is settled on. If you are interested in attending keep an eye out for the new thread announcing the Community Co-op nights. Thanks! -
DAY ONE! Awesome work guys!

Hey guys Doing a Vietnam era mission with some friends, and the P-51 is standing in for the A-1 Skyraider. I am trying to get more modern rocket pods to work on the DCS P-51D. I got the pods to be selectable as a store, but even tho the standard HVAR rockets fire they do not. Any idea on how to get this working? Thanks

Come to thread to see update discussion Find semantical debate about what day weeks start on... ED forums... Sigh... -
Does the targeting sensor on the Gazelle use any type of IR pointer for any purpose that would allow it to visually designate targets for pilots wearing NVGs?

POLL: Interest in a weekly or bi-weekly community CO-OP night
Hook47 replied to Hook47's topic in Multiplayer
Thanks for the responses so far guys, I'll wait for a little more feedback before deciding to go forward. If you have any suggestions or just want to let me know what time frame would work for you, please feel free to post below. -
I personally enjoy flying Co-op mission in DCS quite a bit, and I am considering hosting a weekly or bi-weekly community Co-op night based on the interest gauged in the poll. If I can get a decently sized group of people who know they can make it, I will move forward with it. I have a repository of mission I have made, but I would like to use community submissions as well. While I do not intend for the get together to be uptight or anything (having fun comes first!) I would like us to take the missions seriously enough to have some structure and a proper briefing. Ideally, the missions will provide for a variety of aircraft and pilots. Looking for missions made for about 6-12 players, and I will post a weekly roster on Mondays for people to reserve a slot for the weeks mission. It will be first come first serve, but players can show up the night of to see if anyone dropped out. The reason for the head count is so mission building can be planned a bit more by limiting the participants. I have a TeamSpeak and PC I can dedicate to hosting weekly, and we should be able to handle a dozen clients or so. The proposed time is Sundays, 2100 PST (0400 Zulu) every week or two weeks. Missions planned to run 2-3 hours I am open to feed back about different times. People from anywhere in the world are welcome as long as we can get a solid connection. Please let me know what you think in the poll below!

Yep, none of these pics are correct, the Zero may be wishful thinking. That model has some distinct features that are clearly apart from any guesses so far.

None of the above pictures look like the tease

Reverse psychology isn't working on me, I am dying here! Take our money!!!

I can effectively kill soft vehicles with the PK-3 pods, they take about the same amount of hits as the M-134 on the Huey. As for infantry, yes I agree they take too many hits. I made a mod here on the forums which adds the 23-250 23mm gun pods to the L-39ZA, which is not unrealistic, if you are interested. What I like about the PK-3 pods is lots of ammo!

Guns only when in A2A when you also have missiles?
Hook47 replied to bunraku's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
UFC Select key IIRC, but that's off the top of my head, I'll check and edit when I get back -
:pilotfly:p It's a know trick of the eye I believe. If you look at a tapered surface from the large end to the small end and vice versa they appear different demensions. I read something about why once but I forgot. That's probably the case here, along with different lighting

Last I read it cost around 100,000 and up to develope a full fidelity aircraft like the L-39. It is perfectly reasonable to expect someone to need to buy the module even to ride in the student seat, ED would be giving up sales to do otherwise

Nice! Bummer that will prevent my special manuever, lol, but it's good you can set them up to automatically engage when there is weight on wheels. I bet that will make for some very short landings!
