I do more air to ground than air to air in the M2000C, so the eclair pod is a welcome thing. Any more developments on the D2M (iirc) IR launch detector?
-
To those following this event- allow me to say some VERY big news is coming.... "SoonTM" Stay tuned :) I fully expect this thread to catch fire once this development is announced!
-
No problem, I'll post once it opens so just repost after that so I can be fair with the first come- fist serve process :)

Awesome work! Been meaning to try this for Vietnam missions myself!

To the OP- firstly expect to take some flak for even requesting such a mod- sadly it seems the point of modding for fun even if the weapons were not used on the real plane pushes button for some members of the forum. I'd recommend asking a mod to move this to the Modding forum where this thread won't get WOOT with arguments about why you want to mod or how you should just go play an "arcade" game or some such nonsense. I'd recommend just avoiding engaging in any arguments I have made several M2000 mods that expanded the load out somewhat realistically and added night vision goggles, however during my modding I've never found the way to make a weapon that wasn't originally working with the M2000C to work, with a couple exceptions to IR missiles like the Aim-9 and R-73, however ever since some recent changes to the M2000 code I cannot get those two missiles working either. What I can do is expand the options a bit by doing things like adding the twin ejectors to more pylons letting you carry more bombs. Getting weapons to fire off the mirage that didn't come with it seems to take a significantly higher level of modding, if it's actually possible. The most I've seen so far is just getting them mounted but not working. If you do use a mod I would recommend using JGSME or Mod man to allow you to install and remove the mods so you can pass online integrity checks.

Gazelle L weapons wont fire- control setting red ?
Hook47 replied to tob.s's topic in SA-342M Gazelle
One thing you may want to try is to delete the control lau files for the gazelle (you can back them up somewhere before deleting) under the User/Saved Games/ DCS world/ Input file folders, restarting DCS and rebinding the controls. The red binding usuall means the control lau got borked during an update in my experience -
What will be the first thing you do in the spitfire?
Hook47 replied to flare2000x's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Probably turn on the battery? Guess it depends on the checklist :) -
Understood- thanks for the clarification
-
We are working on setting a date for Round 2 as I type this ;) More on that coming soon
-
Excellent work sir, rep inbound!
-
I've bagged T-55s with combos of rear Armor hits followed by cannon, but it takes some doing!
-
Understandable approach- So to clarify- we can probably expect CC version and the AFM to be released close together? As in the CC won't be pushed out first? Thanks for the info
-
Hey guys- For all those interested in the footage and recording of the live event- I am getting both a highlight real/analysis of the match and a raw upload of the live stream ready. I've been busy with military obligations all week so sorry it has taken some time, but it IS coming soon
-
I'm a bit on the opposite side- I would like to see the CC version released before the AFM, as I feel it would be a good business move for Aviodev. The sooner people can begin implementing the 101CC in a combat role the sooner the aircraft will get some more attention and sales. The C-101 will certainly be the most capable light attack aircraft of the three I should think I can see a lot of work was put into the cockpit and radio implementation, we appreciate it Aviodev. I do have to admit a more steady update flow ala Razbam or Polychop would be good for business and the community in general

I've sat in the T-38s cockpit and this one feels spot on to me! Maybe it is an IPD thing? More VR settings is always nice

In my personal flying experience with the F-5 online this is not the case so far- I actually generally find the F-5 to be easier to score kills with, but the MiG rewarding when flown right. The F-5 can out turn fight the MiG and deny it's zoom/boom moves with said turn rate. Using terrain to make life hell for the MiG is also fun as CFITs abound lol

Tacview is up on first page! Broadcast and highlight reel is coming
-
Yes- nearly done going through it, I was just checking it for accuracy against the broadcast and j haven't going any major issues- I'll be putting it up in the first page today
-
No offense intended to Team Tiger as there were good pilots on both Teams, Fishbed just came together as a unit. Speed is a big challenge for the Tiger, totally agree with that, but I wager Tiger will find a way use that superior handling next time around :)
-
I'm afraid the only time I know of the 105 and MiG 21 met, it wasn't the MiG that was put in its place :) The F-5 in good hands can splash a MiG and vice versa with the MiG. It's a very good match up from what I have seen and I think it will always be mostly about the skill of the crew. my Uncle was an F-4 aviator in Vietnam and he said many many times the F-4 wasn't a MiG 21 killer, in fact he said the MiG had some real advantages in the merge, he said our superior training won out in the end. Just my .02 cents
-
This is correct as I understand it
-
If the aircraft had been reversed the outcome would have been the same. This matches outcome had little to do with airframes- Fishbed used very good tactics and that mattered most at the end, Team Tiger seemed to agree with that. I suspect Team Tiger will make a much stronger and more prepared showing in Round 2.
