    I love it !

BST is not only the leader (by a huge margin) of module releases, but also a Dev I count on to release top notch products. The F-5 maintains the awesome high standard of BST releases and is an EXCELLENT addon to the aircraft line up! I am lovin it!
  2. +1 As much as I like those Vietnam-footage like massive burts, options are always good!
  3. Awesome, exchange of controls is good enough for me! Can't wait!
  4. Okay guys, TEAM FISHBED has assembled! We are full with 6 pilots, however if you still want to fly hop into one of the remaining Tiger IIs or the reserve pool. If you want to be put in the reserve, please note your airframe preference with a (21) (F5) or (Any) after your callsign. Thanks!
  5. Thanks for all the new entries! I'll be updating the roster tonight. Feel free to continue to apply and I will place you on the reserve list. Keep in mind this will be first come first serve, and reserve players will bump into flying spots if the original roster is a no show This has not been fully determined but for the sake of a reasonable match length and server stability we will probably go with a lower number, possibly 3. Stay tuned for further details. Daddy is watching, MiG flyers!!! Now if a BST rep stops in the gauntlet has truly been thrown down haha Maybe for a future event if this one is successful! Devs are of course welcome to fly in this match as long as we have slots open
  6. For clarification on the matter of the CPG not being able to fly without a pilot- does that mean he cannot take flight control period or there has to be a pilot client to exchange control? If the former, then Will exchange of flight control eventually be possible? The real helicopter has dual controls so it would be nice if the copilot/gunner could swap control with the pilot. Thank you for creating this Q/A thread! Polychop and Razbam have set a gold standard for communication and in my opinion deflated the arguments against Dev communication flow proving this works extremely well
  7. This is awesome news! Been looking forward to the Mistral gazelle but the Multicrew is quite a surprise! The newest 3rd party Dev is also the first to foray into Multicrew after ED... Very impressive, Polychop!
  8. Most of my time in a rotary wing is in a CH-47D Chinook, and VRS was a very real concern there. I've always felt DCS does an excellent job simulating these helicopter specific dynamics in ways other sims don't even come close. After flying under the Rift, I echo the above statement 10 fold. It is pretty much a 1 to 1 representation of real helo flying- actually puts some of the U.S. Army helo sims to shame!
  9. Ah, I see- anti ship only, then!
  10. Any confirmation on whether we will get the Mk III version of the RBS-15 that was land target capable, or will we receive the anti ship only version?
  11. A reasonable point, so I have added a poll and based on response I will change plans accordingly. Thanks for brining that up
  12. I couldn't recommend it more- this is an AWESOME module! Go for it!
  13. OK guys, List is updated with participants so far- I appreciate the response! I will try to find a time that works for everyone once we have a date announced Keep in mind I will need all participants to have a working version of Team Speak and we will be flying on the latest version of Beta, if all goes well. ///Rage I have you on reserves until you specify an airframe, then I will bump you up to the active list
  14. At this time no AWACS was planned, as I wanted this to be a raw measure of how the airframes perform against each other
  15. Hey guys, been out of town and missed all the responses! I'll get the roster updated and post the results! And YES! I am planning on live streaming and recording this for all to see!
  16. I'm very curious to learn more about how this will work as well
  17. For the love of all that's good in the world- please become a 3rd party and finish this! I need it!!!
  18. We have no ETA on when we will receive the C-101CC (Light Attack) version and the rest of the promised content (mission, etc) sold with the C-101. Occasionally we get an update of some sort from Aviodev, but no dates or any concrete idea about when we will get the rest of the product. Try to hang in there
  19. My excitement with this plane has honestly surpassed the tomcat and I'm so glad we are getting our first strike fighter with some truly unique capabilities
  20. Can we get a topic name change? Most people will probably click this thinking it actually is what the title of the topic sugguests +1 on the request of course
  21. I think that is the case- Polychop correct me if I'm wrong

    DCS: F-5E!

No matter how you feel about this plane, you got to give it credit for being one of the coolest looking planes out there. That video was awesome
  23. I've done similar and it can work sometimes, but generally that is dependent on the SU flyer doing something wrong, as a good pilot would be able to prevent the M2000 from pulling it off. All this just makes it more of a challenge and rewarding to fly the M2000 tho!
  24. Afraid I'll have to +1 the Viggen subforum motion at well- much needed!
  25. I know LNS has a former MiG 21 pilot on the team, or maybe access to one... Can't remember exactly... but I think we still need to realize that even with a former pilot it may take time and a lot of work to get the FM to a place were it matches documented performance along with pilot anecdotes. Sometimes I feel former aviators get a little too much authority with regard to how a sim aircraft flies, because remember exactly how a plane flew in detail can be difficult when trying to explain or project that experience into a sim. Additionally, it's been many years since some of these folks have flown said aircraft, and as a real world pilot if you asked me to recreate in detial he FM of a plane I have flown years ago, it would be a challenge to say the lease. I've also read a few posts saying they miss the less forgiving and less stable versions of the flight model, but seems I have read in more than one account the MiG was a very stable and forgiving platform, so perhaps those renditions were off in that respect.
