  1. Understandable, I read in another thread MSAA needs to be completely off with deferred lighting on, or a serious hit in FPS results. Will be testing that next and reporting in Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks for reporting in- I noticed especially bad performance in the Spitfire, were you able to test and others? Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  3. Hey guys, ED, thanks for the awesome release! As a VR User I wanted to put up a thread for Vive and Rift users to discuss performance. I am currently running an I7 with a Mobile 1070 chipset, and away from my main rig at home which is a 1080, however I do have low frames and constant ASW in Normandy using certain modules. More optimized or basic modules tend to get better frames, but still on the low end compared to NTTR and 1.5. I have my settings at the VR present with flat shadows ON. How are the other VR users fairing? Is this already on EDs radar? Thanks
  4. You aren't forgotten! Check your email, as soon as you confirm with me I'll get it to you. Also just an FYI Eagle Dynamics was not responsible for the betting contest award, that was funded by me personally, so just wanted to clear confusion, ED handled everything flawlessly Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  5. I am still downloading, being teased by the screen shots of my Virtual Squad mates, so I wanted to use this time to give ED a massive THANK YOU for putting together this product and the updates along with it, I can only imagine how much work must have gone into this project! Additionally, I wanted to once again thank Eagle Dynamics and Matt Wagner for sponsoring the Grudge Match Series: Round 4. Wags was on the spot and provided the award keys for the winning participants on release day, and I know he must have been really busy, so I wanted to publicly thank Eagle Dynamics and Wags for taking care of us and making the event so awesome. Cannot wait to join you guys in the skies!
  6. Hey folks, Since I received a lot of interest and feedback from the post here, I just wanted to update and let the interested parties know that this is still planned, however progress will be slow until the fall, as I am tied up with some real world commitments until then. In spite of that I am still hoping to cover some like PVP events between now and then on the channel used for the GM Series, so stay tuned and feel free to continue to contact me in the mean time!
  7. Downloading! Super excited!
  8. Outstanding! Awesome work, Magnitude!
  9. Good to see the steady stream of improvements, Aviodev, I can't wait until I can take up that CC bird for the first time and do some damage! Keep at it!
  10. I saw some MiGs painted like this on the way back from Afghanistan once, nice job on the livery, it looks awesome! Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  11. Great ideas so far guys, and thanks for all the interest! For those PMing me or emailing me I will respond ASAP, I haven't forgotten! Currently at some training for my LEO Job but I will get back in due time. Feel free to keep suggestions coming guys, really appreciate the feedback!
  12. Goal of the CSL Network- To promote interest in Combat Simulators like DCS by delivering fun and exciting LIVE events, focused on sportsmanship, viewer & pilot enjoyment, and to foster healthy growth & benefit in our Combat Simulator community. Hello Folks, Some of you may know me from the Grudge Match Series, a series of PVP Events that began with the simple design of spreading interest in DCS World, friendly PVP and excitement for the awesome and growing assortment of DCS Modules & Addons. What began as a one time event has grown into a four part series with more future events planned, new events being covered live like the 104ths outstanding "Red Flag" events, and a steadily growing following of viewers tuning in to our live events both during the show and watching the VOD uploads afterwards. I never envisioned live Combat Sim events being this successful, and I want to thank SA-Sim.com, Leatherneck Simulations, Heatblur Simulations, Eagle Dynamics, Maple Flag Missions & BlackKnights Squadron for ongoing support. These events wouldn't have gotten this far without you guys! The purpose of this post is to announce my intent to begin working on a network of sorts, focused around covering live DCS events, and expanding and improving our viewer friendly sports event like format. While it is tough to put into words exactly what I have in mind, I essentially want to continue what we've already accomplished with events like the Grudge Match Series, while expanding the watch-ability, variety of events, and incentives for both the viewers and participants. I have some potentially big things going in the background that I can't release yet, but I am super excited for making these events bigger and better! This post will serve as a heads up to those interested, and a call for some additional help to put together new events in the future! I am looking for the following, so if one of these opportunities interests you, please send me a PM or an email to hooks.events@gmail.com Official Co-Commentators/Announcers/Official Contributors willing to participate regularly, and possibly cover events on the Network's channel (interviews and event test broadcasts will be done case by case) Mission Designers interested in creating exciting PVP Events Sponsors willing to help build the prizepool for our participants and viewers Official Server Hosts (Some events will have one already, this will be for events created by CSL such as the Grudge Match Series) Organizations or Squadrons interested in having CSL cover and promote their event (In return, we only ask a copy of the VOD be authorized to be uploaded to CSL channels to help expand the network Individuals with live-stream broadcast talent willing to help improve the quality of the events More to come... brainstorming is ongoing! If you feel like you would be interested in helping out, or have an idea you would like to bounce off of me, let me know! Thanks for everything, I hope to see you guys at future events. If you are interested in seeing some of the events covered in the past to get an idea of what we are shooting for, check out my current YouTube channel! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCIxbf88o6KmnES_1G70_5Q or the Twitch.tv channel at twitch.tv/hooks_stream *Import note for anyone I am currently working with- creation of the CSL Network changes NOTHING for current or future plans, this is simply an expansion of what we have already been doing. Thanks!
  13. Hey guys, had some technical difficulties but we think we are running smooth now! hope you can tune in!
  14. Hey guys! Hook here, I'll be getting the honor of covering the event live on our Twitch.tv Channel, and we will begin shortly! I invite you guys to tune in and enjoy the show!
  15. Outstanding work! Keep it up! Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk

    M-2000C vs. Su-27

Ultimately pilot skill it's the biggest factor, however I do feel the SU-27 has the advantage as the better air superiority aircraft, as others have mentioned its excellent armament compared to the M2000 and BVR advantages are a big part of that, but I also feel very capable in a merge with the M2000 (while flying the flanker) as the HMD and R-73 can be used to great effect. When I'm in the Mirage I usually try to take advantage of my agility to get the first shot, if I fail I generally expect the SU 27 or F-15 to quickly gain an advantage over me due to the higher armament levels and better energy management Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  17. Sorry to have to abort covering the event via Stream, folks, work threw me a curveball I just couldn't avoid this time- I'll definitely be glad to cover the next one Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks! Grmzl did an outstanding job, I couldn't have hoped for more! His breakdown of the aircraft and awesome insight was spectacular Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  19. Excellent flying, guys! Thanks to all who tuned in. Big thanks to SA-Sim, Eagle Dynamics & our server host-Burning Skies! Awesome sportsmanship and a great show! Special thanks also to Grmzl, my awesome co-commentator. That added a lot to the show, I hope you will join us again in the future! Can't wait to see the AAR, Flank! That was a TOUGH match to cover commentary wise, lots of frantic action!
  20. Awesome work! Really love how much you update this thread and I'm really enjoying watching your work! Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  21. Hey fellas! Two pieces of news from me- as always, huge thanks to Flankerator for the flawlessly executed registration process! All contestants should have recieved the Acceptance Letter, so please make sure to read that soon! Regarding Tacview- I am assessing it's new features and the possibility of using it as soon as round 4, but I can't promise it yet! Fingers crossed! Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  22. I would love to add that as a mod, but there are a lot of challenges (for me at least) in mixing weapons built for one type with weapons for another type due to the systems coding of the three individual variants. If there was a way to crack getting TOWs to function on the Lima or Mistrial Gazelle, such a load out could be possible! Uphaut (May be misspelling his name) has already made an excellent Malakuta TOW mod (the rocket like weapon in that picture) so perhaps I'll reach out to him about the idea! Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  23. There may actually be a Tacview and SRS conflict in the latest version- SRS wasn't working in my latest version of Open Alpha, I wiped my export file and reinstalled, and it was good to go. If I recall correctly there is a Tacview entry on that same file! Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  24. Oh, regarding the Lima with TOWs- yes I do believe that is in the capability of the real bird, but not attempted by our mod yet, primarily because the 3D model would need to look different, unless the mount for the weapon was somehow built into the weapons 3D model (meaning a new weapon is brought into the sim) and I suspect the L Gazelle code would need changing to make it doable Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
