  1. Still getting cross eye issues in latest OB with Samsung O+ only. Rift and Vive do not have this issue. After 10-15 minutes my eyes try to adjust but it leads to discomfort and even headaches after removing HMD. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  2. I want to like the Odyssey, god knows I'm all for something to surpass the Rift after using it for years, but my attempt to use the O+ on a multiplayer flight night ended in total disaster. Near constant steam VR gray room pop ins (extremely annoying) and serious blurriness. If I get the $$$$er working worth a darn I'll update my thoughts here, but I just can't currently recommend it and I'm concerned by the amount of people I see echoing my problems. OP YMMV, good luck in the decision either way. If you get it just put it through it's paces ASAP so you can return it if it's a mess. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  3. I thought it seemed like it hit rather light. Generally a 30mm should be able to kill an armored car like the BTR 80 in one or two hits, but it seemed like the DEFA couldn't do it. I'll crack open the weapons part of the Lau when I get home today and see if the cannon is defined as a 12mm. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  4. And I post my last not to be contract but to instead just warn potential buyers that the SDE (screen door effect for those who don't know) is definitely still there even in the O+. That's only so someone won't buy the device for the advertised lack of SDE only to be dissapointed like I was. Interestingly enough... Out of all the VR devices I own, the PSVR actually has the lowest SDE! It sucks at everything else tho! Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  5. I must contend that I definitely still see a SDE in the Odyssey+, in spite of the advertised anti SDE technology. I've compared both simultaneously while being ran on two PCs and while there may be slightly more SDE on the Rift, it's still there on the Odyssey. The trick is not looking for it IMO. 6. I seem to remember these causing smoke on one of the airframes. Perhaps these are moddable to have that effect. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  7. I own a Rift, O+, and Vive. I would recommend steering clear of the O+. No other device has given me the amount of setup and reliability headaches as the O+, and to be honest in spite of the higher resolution, it has a blurriness that I find less desirable than the lower Resoultion in the Rift or Vive. I would wait for the Pimax or a next gen device. The O+ has many other design issues, such as being heavy a and uncomfortable that make it (IMO) inferior to a Rift and perhaps even the Vive. 8. Most of the WW2 birds give a good showing in VR I'll echo the MiG 15, MI 8, Viggen and F 5 reccomedations too! I own all DCS modules and and three different types of VR displays and most modules work well in VR. Some are really cool because of the unique cockpit feel, the MiG 15 fits into that category. Something about it's pit just feels awesome and very immersive! Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  9. So that last varianle actually rotates/tilts the weapon? Good to know! Thanks! Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  10. Glad you got it worked out! Sorry I didn't follow your question. Out of curiosity how did you solve the issue? Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  11. Reading the OPs post again we both may be on the wrong track. When you say change the angle of the weapon do you mean rotating it to actually face up or down/left or right? I'm not sure of a way to don't at outside of model changes. I just know how to move it back forward and up or down if it doesn't align with the pylon right Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  12. I don't have the exact info in front of me, but there is a position code you can put it to move the weapon by a certain amount in any direction. Again, I don't have it memorized, but it's something like , Attach_point_position = (0.0, 0.0, 0.0)), Now each of those 0s are positional axis. One is forward and back, one is left and right, and one is up and down. I can't remember which is which, but you get the idea! The axis is off of the center of the pylon Try hunting in some laus to find the above code! You can reverse engineer from there as I did. I'll repost more info when I'm at my modding PC Hope this helps! Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  13. NICE work, Ace! That looks awesome! Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  14. While doing some weapons modding I also noticed this, in fact it appears both weapons are the same weapon but independently introduced with each module and declared as a new weapon. What's really interesting is the substantial size difference between the two weapons. I'm sure weapon scaling can be tricky without measurements, but unless these two weapons are simulating different versions of the BLG 66 it seems one or the other is a bit off. This can be observed by placing a non controlled 101 and M2000 next to each other on the ramp with BLGs loaded Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  15. I've been following the 101 since pre release so forgive me if I'm telling you something you already know I think the chief reason for the delay was the loss of a programmer, and maybe one other team member. I won't get into specifics, but if I recall right a lot of work had to basically be rebooted from scratch. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk
  16. This is awesome. Thank you for sticking with it, Aviodev. You can bet I'll be enjoying my C 101CC tomorrow, and count me on for the next module, whatever that may be! Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  17. The systems of the aircraft lend a lot to it's utility. Since the F 86 had some decent utility in its pylon system, I was able to do a lot with it. The P 51 may be a lot tougher. A year or so ago I attempted to mod weapons on the Mustang so it could play the part of a Sky Raider in some Vietnam missions, and I remember the effort didn't go well! What weapons did you have in mind? Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  18. Yes I'm aware of the major differences between the types, but my skills as a modder are still limited due to the amount of time I can put into modding. I certainly don't have the ability to create a new F 100 pit, but if I came across a good usable F 100 model, swapping it for the F 86 model might be doable, and using the F 86 pit would in my opinion be close enough to suspend disbelief. Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks for doing that! I was preparing to revisit this mod and make some upgrades in preparation for a Vietnam series I am going to run for my squad. If some of those upgrades pan out, I'll contact you and See if we want to combine them. You took care of one pending issue for me by upgrading the cannons! One little step closer to the super sabres capabilities Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  20. I got deja vu when reading this! This was a bug with one of the very early builds of the MiG after it released. I distinctly remember the issue. Unsure why an external program is bringing it back but I thought it had something to do with the PTT button in the virtual cockpit Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  21. Kind of late to the game here, but thanks for the awesome update! I'm a devout Fishbed flyer, and I'll buy the CE 2 day one to support the great work. Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  22. In the midst of what Im sure is a epic Tomcat Crunch you have still found time to love on the amazing Viggen. Awesome job, Heatblur!!!! You guys are killing it! Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  23. Just got to fly this- I'm blown away, fellas. Thank you so much for this. As an amateur modder, I recognize what an incredible accomplishment this aircraft is, and I truly appreciate all the work you fine gents put in. What an awesome way to remember the impact Gos had on our community- now so many of us can enjoy the fruits of his valuable time. Thanks for bringing this to us guys, I will get a lot of enjoyment from this!
  24. For what it's worth, having gunned on a M134 in real life, you don't know on the rap deal either! It's sort of an educated guess based on how long you've held the boom switch... Sent from my SM-J320V using Tapatalk
  25. Looks like our virtual squadron has confirmed this bug in the SA342M in multiplayer. The bug seems to lie between how the TV Command box axis inputs are coming in for the co pilot gunner. In single player, the slew commands are correct, but in multicrew, the co pilot gunner is getting only up/down or left/right slew.
