  1. Is there anyway to get helo's to follow ships, like there own carrier???
  2. You guys screwed up and deleted my F18 joystick bindings!!! What the heck are you doing???
  3. I watched the video and now understand what he means...???????????? He's talking about the flickering when you look up the tail pipe, not the flame shooting out of it...He wants it like the MiG29's flame...
  4. Shouldn't the aircraft carrier also be able to provide GCI service?
  5. I was watching the OH Perry class FFG engage targets, and I noticed that Loading process wasn't modeled. It would be nice to see. Here are two videos of what I'm talking about. Notice the loading and the launch sequence. The fins deploy just before launch...
  6. I've been trying to setup a US Carrier Strike Group (specifically CSG3). It has One carrier the Stennis, 2x GC's the Mobile Bay and Antietam, and 7xDDG's, and the USS Bridge AOR. It also has CVW9 aboard the Stennis. I gave the CG's their true names, but they both still appear on the Communications Menu as just Normandy. Wouldn't it be nice if the names on the Comm Menu matched the name given in the Editor?
  7. Honestly, call signs should go hand in glove with skins...????
  8. Could we please have the actual call signs with the right squadrons? https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.udxf.nl/MCL.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwj0m7GylZjcAhVBLX0KHYFGCpUQFjACegQIBRAB&usg=AOvVaw0922fEZlyW0rm8qacGEU7Y
  9. My only complaint about afterburner effects is that it isn't bright during low light and at night.
  10. Can ships be controlled like other vehicles in DCS? If not, then I wish they would be...
  11. I see that thunderstorms in DCS don't have the real cloud formations that are associated with them. Theses are the clouds that make thunderstorms: http://www.weatherscapes.com/gallery.php?cat=clouds&subcat=thunderstorms&expand=thunderstorms It would be nice if it could be done in DCS...
  12. Make sure you select AM if that option is available...
  13. I'm not sure what format other countries use, but wind direction in the US is always given to the nearest 10 degrees, not to the nearest degree. Heading Vectors are most often given to the nearest 10 degrees; sometime to the nearest 5 degrees. Vectors are given to the nearest one degree only for PAR Approaches.
  14. The FCS page on the DDI shows the position of all flight surfaces. You can set trim using that.
  15. I have problems with it getting tangled up with the flight stick...

    Cloud Density?

  17. Don't your targets have ECM and Chaff? Don't they maneuver to beam the missile?

    Cloud Density?

Doesn't METAR cloud density go from 0 to 8 (0- clear; 1-2- few; 3-4- scattered; 5-7- broken 8- overcast) in the real world? At least it does in the US. What about the rest of the world? Shouldn't that be the same values in DCS?
  19. Transporting Troops is a combat function, especially if they are making a hot landing! Combat Search & Rescue is also a combat function. Weapons like the minigun would be on the ramp of the CH-53.
  20. It seems to me that it would be easy enough to populate the playing area with all the airports that actually exist...even as post release updates!
  21. I was thinking this map could use an F10 View filter with all the Warning and Restricted Areas overlayed, so we could plan our training where it really is happening.
  22. Is Grand Canyon National Park Airport going to be added to the map? It looks like a place holder is already there.
  23. We had the Navy doing FCLP's at Yokota AB (US Air Force). They brought a portable Fresnal lense and just set it next to the runway. We didn't have a carrier outline on the runway, nor a Naval style cable. They just did touch and goes.
