  1. Is it me or is there no difference between CAT I and CAT III? Should I not be getting FCLS faults in CAT I with bombs?
  2. You'll have to map it. Check the manual for HOTAS functions and design your layout in a similar manner.
  3. Huh. All this time I didn't realize you could punch in your CRS into the UFC.
  4. I thought the BLK-40 can't use the HTS? Block 50/52s more dedicated CJ role?
  5. Isn't A/G radar being sourced to a 3rd party? Kind of essential system in the F18 and F16. Hopefully it's an easy technology to port over.
  6. Ports forwarded?
  7. Wait, are you saying I don't actually have to wait for INS to align? I'd like AG radar - massive part of the Hornet. Should be a major priority.
  8. Dynamic campaign so DCS has a point
  9. I don't see that line either.
  10. Flying with labels on makes flying with labels off much more difficult. You have to practice in the environment you want to improve in. - Assigning a waypoint as Tgt for known position of ground targets can help. If you have the elevation right, it will put a diamond over them on your hud. - Reference and make a mental note of the landscape you're entering. - Communication with flight. You can set up a yardstick TACAN with your lead as well, which will give you a distance to him. If he is on 1Y AA, go to 64Y AA. Doesn't give you bearing but you can work it out playing hot vs cold. - Listen to AWACS and learn to build a mental picture of the battlespace in reference to the Bullseye position.
  11. I don't believe the Hornet has an EXP mode similar to the F-16. If it does, awesome, but it's not modeled currently.
  12. Using this mission a lot in training, it's excellent. Thanks for your work.
  13. Does this cause integrity issues online?
  14. If they couldn't just slap Mavs from the A-10 to the Hornet, it's extremely unlikely they'll be able to just slap a targeting pod. I'd give it a month or so, or more. Awesome news though.
  15. If Lex is this Lex: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPqnAPcQSxyCqJ0CZu9qMmg I would just listen to him.
  16. Good news. At least we can do some self-lasing until the ATFLIR is in. It's worth the hassle of being locked to CL.
  17. I believe INS is coming after a more proper IFF. Same engineer. Did you accurately set the tgt elevation?
  18. Hard habit to break :)
  19. Would like a full squadron pack developed for VFA-14 Tophatters. With the work involved, I obviously wouldn't expect the creator to do it for free. I can properly commission the work. Please contact me privately if interested.
  20. I'm having this problem with a created mission as well. Spawned him in an orbit over a tgt with no weapons. Startup is on ramp, cold and dark. I thought maybe I wasn't letting the radar warm up long enough in Standby mode, but it looks likeothers are having a similar issue. I can lock him up in ACM fine.
  21. That's my concern as well. Thanks for the link though.
  22. Thanks for the vid, forgot about that. It might be a peripheral vision issue then that I misheard as it being out of his field of view. He was saying that it was awkwardly placed for the pilot to the point that if he looked at it, he missed it, so the RIO would guide him in.
  23. I was recently listening to an interview with an F-14 pilot who said refueling was tricky in the Tomcat because the probe was behind the pilot's head, so he had to look backwards to see if he was catching the bucket. Obviously, this would screw you up, so it was primarily the job of the RIO to guide the pilot into contact. This should add an interesting element to multiplayer. Equally, I wonder how Jester handles it.
  24. Hey Sep, what monitor or tablet are you using behind your MFDs?
  25. I have a Warthog and had an old X55 kicking around. I don't like the lack of axis' on the Warthog throttle, so I switched it out for the X55 while still using the Warthog stick. I'm loving it. I find it much more comfortable as well, with many more options for dials and axis' in the F-18. Of course for the A10 the Warthog throttle is perfect, but if you're mostly into other planes, I would only recommend the Warthog stick and pair it with a throttle with more options.
