@Gunfreak you may want to talk Virpil and ask for a replacement. My TM is working fine with Brunner base, all buttons are ok. I do admit however about some oversensivity on the 4+1 buttons, but otherwise everything is ok. -

If you are at last level of firmware and software, I think best option would be to contact Brunner directly. Mine is working fine... at least for helis and airplanes official modules. -

@currenthill would you consider sometime in the future something like a soldier JTAC squad with 1 or two members? Asking this because the followings: 1. There are some other 3rd party mods for JTAC, but they are solely static type of soldier, rendering it a bit unusable, Not mentioning is also a blind one 2. There is a catch with JTAC units when it comes to detection capabilities. Found out that a normal soldier in DCS is quite blind, while a Manpad is having slightly better capabilities. This is also extended to vehicles, and my findings are that the ATGM Humvee seems to have the best detection capabilities. Might be related to the optics on the vehicle... don't really know. 3. It would be a bit more immersive to see a proper JTAC equipment on the field, rather than a manpad 4. will add even more sense to the CTLD type of operations, infiltrating a proper "invisible" JTAC on the battlefield, rather then having a fully fledged vehicle. So, would you accept this challenge CH ? PS: i was finding lately that using the Sweedish soldier for CTLD is quite a blast. They are quite powerfull and is making more realistic to transport them via helis, instead transporting crates to build vehicles.. If that sniper could also move would be a blast -

No... CH wanted to make them independent, people will be using only those they will want to. This way is also easier to get updates. You'll get use to it ! -

@Gunfreak I prefer the native Brunner FF functionality over the DirectX FF .... maybe i'm loosing some effects, but I can definitely say in case of helis everything is much better with Brunner software itslef. -

@currenthill I would like to report an issue related to the sounds while using your mods in multiplayer. Short description is that some DCS ground units like Abrams, Bradley and others will have no engine sound while I'm having your mods activating in multiplayer mode... and need to emphasize is applying only in MP mode. Seems that is actually a kind of known issue as several other mods are behaving similarly. There is a good news however as it seems is fixable and I'll leave the link for the workaround below: Is that something you might be able to apply on your mods as well? -

@currenthill is any chance you could share the skins templates so that I could try build a second version of them to a bit more lower resolution? I am using Gimp, and seems you are using the 7th version of BX encoding ... which gimp cannot handle .. so is a bit more complicated to convert them. But I could definitely use the .psd templates to work for some more resource friendly skins.... -

@currenthill will the S350 battery be mobile? This will make it indeed extremely deadly. As side note... did you managed to get a look into SWE Patriot battery , for which the launchers will not move after they fired ? -

@dimitriov your additional script for French pack assets is having some fantastic functionalities and I'm grateful to you sharing it to us. I would like to ask for your permission to reuse the "repair vehicle" part for another potential freeware asset. What I'm actually looking for, is to check if CurrentHill is willing to create any sort of armored repair vehicle which would make use of the "repair" script. As side note, I already managed to isolate and test the repair function from your script and is working flawlessly. Of course you'll be credited within the script as author! Also in case you are not yet familiar, CurrentHill was creating lately a lot of great assets for DCS: Currenthill MilSim -

@currenthillOn Sweedish mod the patriot launchers will not move after they were firing. I've put them on green state, they retract all stabilizations, etc... but they remain in place, even if the STR and EPP are moving forward. Any idea? -

This is client sided mod. As a rule of thumb, any scripting mod that is applied in mission.miz file can be considered as server sided so clients have nothing to do on their side. In this case however the mod is applied on the local DCS folders, hence is a client side mod. The server does not really require this RWR mod on its side, but from my past experiences with modding, a best practice would be that the server would have the mods on its side too.... Hope it helps! -
I saw recently a new object appeared on the crates category for sling loading, namely and artillery gun. Happily I made a quick test mission for it but things weren't working as expected. In the moment the cable was attached to the new artillery gun, this one just exploded, as well as my helicopter. All other crates worked normally. Is anyone else experiencing the same with this new object?

@currenthill did not test Himars yet, but just read this from you: " The HIMARS asset needs something for targeting, that's why I use AWACS." I admit i cannot really get this point, i mean what is needed for a proper Himars setup in DCS. Is any documentation about this? What other units can provide targeting support for himars... etc ..
