Q: Will DCS 1.5 come with the improved ATC?

It's a server glitch, what your seeing is a gigantic crater (usually caused by lag) Not sure if there is way to fix it other than restarting the server.

Will this version be modelled as well? That seems unsafe for passengers in the chopper. Every time you get out, you would pass the gun's muzzle. But it would be a nice addition I think :)

Cats never worked in DCS. Its because the only carrier based aircraft is the Su-33 which does not need a catapult, so all other mods use the Su-33 code base.

a lot of servers have the Mi-8 but not many people fly it because of its size and role the 159th is an amazing server for the Mi-8/UH-1H because it has a troop/IFV drop menu that allows you to use the transport choppers to there full potential. So I would say go for it, its my favorite chopper and its very fun to fly :)

Well taxiing/takeoff might be another story as it could only lock the tail wheel completely or have it swivel freely.

can you put missiles on it?

good catch but I hope it gets fixed soon so people don't find this thread and start using it on multiplayer servers. that would be extremely annoying :disgust:
