  1. I wonder why when anyone puts the AI F-15E (The one that's been in the sim since the A-10C was released) in a mission, everyone assumes its RAZBAM's. I wouldn't expect to see the F-15E for another 2 or 3 years.
  2. I would love to hear a response from one of the developers. Wondering if this is something that they are strongly considering or if its just an idea that was thrown into the community to see the response would be.
  3. I have noticed this as well. @FoxTwo try kicking the right or left rudder all the way for about 15 seconds without touching any other controls and you will see what Quid is talking about. The type of roll reversal you will experience is unnatural for any air frame to just suddenly snap in the opposite direction.
  4. Yes, the center hard-points produce less drag then the wing stations, and if the AIM-54s' were in the rear, the aircraft would be tail heavy.
  5. What about the 388th fighter wing out of Hill AFB
  6. Really sorry to hear this... sending my thoughts and prayers
  7. Well that's unfortunate, from my understanding is that this is a case of "curiosity killed the cat"
  8. Nice Video! here is the link embedded:
  9. That is amazing.
  10. silly question but did you select the station that the munition is on? EDIT: disregard that statement, i misread the question
  11. So from what i have tested, Jester will always have the radar in TWS mode and you will know this if you can see the radar returns on the TID. if the targets are too close together it will display as one contact on the TID and if you are trying to engage multiple targets, Jester will not push the next missile button in the RIO cockpit if he does not see more than 1 target. If you are playing in single player you can simply just hop in the back seat and push the button yourself and wait 16 seconds or so to launch the next missile, but ive found its a hit or miss whether or not the AIM-54 will track the second target. you will know if you can launch another missile if you see the HOT TRIG light illuminate on the ACM panel.
  12. let me rephrase my original post The F-14B going up against an F-18C, realistically the tomcat wouldn't do so well as it doesn't have the same capabilities in terms of weapons and flight characteristics. So yea if an F-14D went up against an F-18C it would be a different story
  13. exactly DCS doesn't care about balancing. So realistically if a bunch of tomcats went up against a bunch of hornets, the tomcats would get their butts handed to them, simply due to the fact that the 18 is a better plane (hence why it replaced the tomcat)
  14. The 15 and the 18 have better missiles and more modern systems that were built for fighter to fighter engagements (as well as the 15's arcady radar) The F-14s AIM-54's are great but can easily be avoided due to their size and turn radius (they were built to intercept a long range non maneuvering target). so picture the F-14 as an F-15 only loaded with sparrows. The f-14 is not one of those aircraft that you can just hop in, spam 10 amramms and fly back without a care in the world. think about your engagements find the aircraft's strengths and weaknesses and use that to your advantage.
  15. those are probably your maneuver flaps. retract them with the same key-bind for DLC extend.
  16. The first comment on the video states that it will be available on steam on the 13th as well.
  17. Is that really the in-game Mi-8 sound? if so its improved by miles since the last time ive flown it

  19. Expect the worst, hope for the best.
