its probably because you have one of the new settings they have added, which is the "Hear like in helmet" option. the setting is located under the audio tab in the options menu.

Were the F4U's deployed on all carrier types or only specific ones? (like the CV-6 or the CV-2)

I would assume that they are waiting for the 2.0 update for 1.5 so that people don't have to switch between different installs to fly on different maps. -SilentGun

No you don't need an ED account to play with the two free modules included with DCS. You only need an account if you wish to purchase modules in the future. but it wont hurt to make an account :)

It may just be for the long range missiles like the r-33 or the AIM-54 because I have been able to target long range anti-ship missiles before. -SilentGun

Crimea Well one reason is it is expensive. I think it was somewhere in the $10,000 range for the program. Also I think they have a set quality standard. Idk that's just what I think are some of the reasons why EDIT: Disregard this message, I have no insight on why they don't want people to have the tools.
