  1. Not a 'facts-book' per se, but in "The Big Show", if I recall correctly, Pierre Clostermann refers to red and green tracers shooting past his cockpit when he was attacked by german aircraft. Don't have the qoute here though.
  2. Thanks for bringing it up Picksking. The edited shot looks way more natural and hopefully this is something we will see in the release.
  3. I'm gonna quote a little Warhammer 40K "Hope is the first step on the road to dissapointment" :D Personally I would love me some video footage of 2.5.
  4. Lol:D Same here... Working on my master studies supposedly, but instead I am staring into my browser and refreshing. Gonna be a long weekend.. Desperation made manifest.
  5. Racoon will the be any battle scarring of the landscape? After all the pounding leading up to and from Overlord itself, craters, ruined house, bridges ec.? When you say "late june.." is that because of the airfields you have modelled? The screenshots look incredible by the way. You have our permission to release it for public testing now;)
  6. This is just fantastic. Thanks heaps! Hope you will consider giving the Spitfire the same treatment:)
  7. I am am member of Air Combat Group- ACG. We are a large, thriving community of historical squadrons flying in Il2 Cliffs of Dover, which do a solid job for us with Team Fusion patches. (Everyone with an interested in authentic WW2 combat on a LARGE scale is VERY velcome to check us out:) http://www.aircombatgroup.co.uk/ Sorry for the shameless promotion, but if you wonder where the large, serious, WW2 population is, we are a big chunk of that pie chart. We have our eyes on DCS, and many of hour members fly various modules regularly, (For many of us- DCS is THE sim) but the fully fledged theathre is what is keeping us on the sideline... for a little while longer. Once Racoon and his boys roll out Normandy, the improved damage models and period units, we have a huge playerbase that will use it extensively.
  8. Lovely!:D
  9. I had stutter- mostly on DCS 2, but also occasionally on 1.5. Upgraded ram to 16, no noticable effect. Upgraded to SSD- stutter gone from both games. General performance very good on both games, but generally smoother on 2.0. It runs like butter. I have an i5 3.5ghz, gtx970, 16 GB ram, and SSD
  10. Hoping for a video tour of the 2.5 Caucasus;) But have a feeling it won't be happening for at least two weeks.
  11. IF you ahaven't noticed- he has made another older movie of premium quality also:
  12. Are you guys a full Norwegian outfit? Do you run regular events? Norwegian myself:) Excellent vid as well.
  13. Yes I am. Will that kill 3rd party campaigns?
  14. "This mission requires activation" I buy, install with module manager- no errors, and get this message. I re-active (and lose 1 of my 3 activations) and the same error message pops up. Ideas?
  15. Great work Bunyap. This looks like enough to keep people going for a few years:D
  16. The VNS_ada mod, or what it is called gives at least one civ airliner AI model. I am not sure, but the model seems far to small, however, it can be used to create more or less believable AI traffic.
  17. Alright- just could not find the freq's. Found them now- thanks https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=127487
  18. Well- is it at all possible to contact ground on UHF? Sorry for being stupid on this:P
  19. How can I contact, say Kobuleti on 133.00 using the F-5 radio?:)
  20. Really?? Awesome- I must have msiread a post just recently now where someone was discussing this. Great news then:D
  21. Very unfortunate that we cannot use this in MP to my understanding.
  22. Thanks Wags. Even just the very southern tip of England would make a huge difference. Flying from Tangmere and Ford, crossing the Channel at wavetop height and and doing Noball strikes, escorting B-17's, and doing fighter sweeps in DCS will be the ultimate WW2 experience for me. Looking forward to all either way:)
  23. I think the WIP's look terrific and look forward to trying it with bated breath:) My only concern is that the trees appear to bright. Those pics from Calvados dropped just above here seems like a good reference. Still WIP obviously, and that Spitfire over Normandy shot that Bunyap shared is just freaking lovely. I'm very sad if a tip of England don't make it into the map. The entire pre-invasion campaign is to me just as interesting as D-day+. Hope to see it at some point though:)
