Hi, P-51 pilots usually did not use any radio navigation aid during WWII. If you look on pictures from WWII you will not see any additional antenna on P-51 operating in ETO. They had nothing. Only Mustangs operating from IwoJima were equipped with AN/ARA-8 radio homing units "UncleDog" (two antenna masts behind cocpit). And lots of Mustangs operating in CBI and Mustangs from 5th AF on Philippines and Okinawa were equipped with ADF (loop antenna behind standard antenna mast). Ground beacons for Detrola receiver were only placed on continental USA (wire between cocpit and rudder).

Probably it not, you will consume to much fuel during climb. And it will not be balanced by lower fuel consuption at that hight altitude. for example, P-47 had better range at 10kft than at 25kft

I use all three, for P-51D, Fw 190D and Bf 109K without any problem on DoW servers.

Two "models" G-10 were produced. "Standard" from Messerschmitt factory in Regensburg and WNF, these had same nose like K-4 (100 type). WNF produced probably alone G-10/U4 with same armament like K-4. and "ERLA" from Erla Maschinenwerk in Leipzig. This subtype had different engine cowl, type 110, and probably oil cooler. Both variants had long or short tail wheel and small or big bulge on wing, all depends on productions series.

Every players aircraft is displaying as Su-27
saburo_cz replied to Urban072's topic in Multiplayer Issues
Hello, same for WWII planes, screenshot is from online game and Su-27 behind my Pony was in fact Pony too. This problem i saw first time on 24.dec, before last patch was released for public version. Unfortunetely I have no idea if player`s game (whose plane i saw as Su-27) was "open beta" with last patch. EDIT: i have the last patch update 1, of course... looks like Su-27 but it is player`s P-51D -
I read somewhere (sorry I do not remember where) that using engine with higher ATA (than 1,75?) without MW 50 was forbiden.

Heavy ground flicker on runway
saburo_cz replied to fjacobsen's topic in Video Corruption and Related Card Issues
I confirm it too, from patch 1.2.12. GTX 570, drivers 332.21 and 337.88 -
It is mistake in manual, fuel tank in Bf 109 has capacity 400l. and if you have fuel in MW 50 tank, you do not have info about it, fuel quantity sensor is not instaled in MW 50 tank

Hello, with fuel selector lever You only control how or if You will draw fuel from tanks. it has 4 possition: "Auf" ... engine is supply from both fuel tanks (or three if auxiliary tank is carried) “Vorderer Behälter zu” ... engine is supply only from rear tank (and from auxiliary if it is) “Hinterer Behälter zu” ... engine is supply only from forward tank "zu" ... means close, simply fuel tanks are closed Fuel pumps are switched by C/Bs placed on right console (E13, E14, E85)

Hello, I`ve noticed missing flame from R/H Dora`s cannon after last patch. Same for "Open beta" and "full version".

DB-605DB is in game and was widely used during WWII.

Hello, I checked it with TF-51D, "default" map seting in editor and: for 1300RPM after engine start oil tempr. 30dgrs -oil press. 150lbs oil tempr. 40dgrs - press. 160lbs oil tempr. 45dgrs - press. 178lbs Seems like opposite behaviour for both P-51 and TF-51.

What's with P-51 versus Fw 190 in Dogfights ?
saburo_cz replied to SnowTiger's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
It was NOT standard, 100/150 grade fuel was used as a standard for P-51 (and P-38/47) only from 8th AF. P-51 and others USAAF fighters from units in Europe, Italy... used only 100/130 grade fuel. -
Have you ever seen any photo K-4 with "Rüstsatz R6" (cannon gondolas under wings)? Or G-10/G14? It looks like that using "R6" ended with G6 model in reality, yes there was possibility but did it?

Immediately after engine start, oil pressure looks like to hight. I don`t remember too hight value from previous DCS 1.2.11 When I started mission in flight, oil pressure was out of idicator range (temperature was slightly above 40dgrs) and when oil tempereture reached operation scale, oil presure decreased but was still above green scale? in fact I realized this during on line game and check it during of line, pictures are taken from of line game with "default map setting" in mission editor On ground after engine start, see pictures bellow for exact engine setings

default "RShift + P" works right for Pony, pilot is not in Dora and K-4

Pony in DCS can fly much longer than 5 mins on engine setting 67" but it realy depends on flying speed. You will kill engine very fast if you are slow...

Dora which flew above You after You lost engine was me :). (at 1:14:00) I saw Your stuck propeller...

Hello, min 2:12 68 inch min 2:50 max. of indicator`s scale and probably more times. Damaged engine? Nice video btw, thx for sharing.

Hello, cockpit light switches lost their stop positions after last patch. They turn around and when reach full possition (OFF or ON) they will not stop but they skip to opposite position. Same for P-51D and TF-51D and for K-14 dimmer rheostat.

Hi, You can change fuselage numbers on default skins in mission editor, letters can be used for Pony instead of numbers. picture is from my old coop mission
