  1. Was wondering, just a thought; Would it be possible, when engine limitations / damage model is working in DCS Huey, would it be possible to have the 'damage' results follow you into the nex mission? In other words, if you exceed the engine limitations, for 'x' amount of time and 'x' amount of temperature, but haven't destroyed the engein yet, that this wear and tear of the damage done plays into the next mission, so that damage tolerance is less and less over time? Maybe not just for subsequent mission, but could also be for when you don't fly for a few days... in other words, DCS-Huey remembers the engine treatments it received previously... maybe possibly linked into DCS Pilot-Profile...
  2. PilotMi8, might I suggest a FaceBook 'UH-1 Huey Helicopter' forum where you could possibly find that info..., it has lots of members who used to fly (or still do), or who work(ed) on Hueys... all pilots, mechanics, crew chiefs, etc. There are mechanics there too who know the difference between all the different engine models and various engine designations ('L' / 'T' model etc.) as they used them, or worked on them in real life on the Hueys... ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/61123668011/ ) PS: think I better post my DCS Huey Mission, the one that lets one fly according to the official UH-1 manual Engine Temperature limits, soon... before all my 'EGT triggers' work is 'lost'...:) Huey Gauges correct.pdf
  3. Have BOTH the 'C-Tek' AND the 'Komodo' full set of Heli Controls... Started out with the full set of 'C-Tek' controls a few years ago, and ordered the 'Komodo' controls last year... which took a VERY long time to arrive... The 'C-Tek', in my opinion is hands-down the winner when it comes to feel and accuracy of flying the Huey. The 'C-Tek' controls feel more robust and feel heavier to me then the 'Komodo' controls. Although they don't look like the real life Huey controls, as far as feeling is concerned, they feel truly solid; especially the Cyclic. The construction of each control is solid due to all metal being used throughout the 'arms' (Cyclic and Collective, and Rudder Pedals). On top of it all, the controls are very well balanced! All(!!) controls (Cyclic, Collective, Pedals) have good functioning friction control. However; unlike the 'C-Tek' controls, the 'Komodo' controls do LOOK like exact replicas of the Huey Cyclic, Collective and Pedals, with all proper buttons and switches in place AND, with the (RL) Start Trigger, located at the underside of the Collective! But since the Collective 'Friction adjustment' either makes it too sticky or too loose when flying, the Collective has a tendency to sag down when set at any certain angle. I have installed a 'damper' underneath it to stop that from happening (visible in pics). The 'Komodo' Cyclic does not have friction control, and tends to be sticky at times, i.e. NOT a smooth movement, whereas the 'C-Tek' controls are butter smooth... The other difference between the two controls systems is that the 'C-Tek' Collective simulates Real Life Throttle 'Idle Indent'!! It does so by having to push a button on the collective collar, which allows the throttle to be fully closed... and as in real life, the throttle can NOT be closed fully as long as that button on the collective is not pressed down. The 'Komodo' controls do NOT have 'Idle Detent' simulation; i.e. you can roll the throttle all the way closed without any problem. Have been flying for a while now with the 'Komodo' controls... but am still on the fence to go back to using the 'C-Tek' controls again...
  4. Tried it myself, but am missing the water drop...
  5. Hi upuaut, Still no luck :( - De-activated mod - Deleted JSGME - Made DCS repair - Moved files to ..DCS World\_MODS\Helipads...\Bazar and Script\Database. - Re-installed JSGME - Activated Mod - Checked Mission → No Helipads, No CommTower w/helipad again. Have attached the Log, Pic, and Mission file. The thing that puzzles me is that the various Helipads are visible in the Mission Editor Pre-View window..., but when the mission opens, there's nothing there. Jan. 15 Update: A 'hard' Mod install, not using JSGME, but instead copied contents of Mod into respective folders ['Bazar' / 'Data' / 'Mods' / 'Scripts' / 'Sounds'] in C:\DCS World)) gives the same results: the various Helipads are visible in the Mission Editor 'Pre-View' window..., but when the mission opens, there's nothing there to see, apart from the airfield and surrounding empty country side. dcs - Text.txt debrief - Text.txt Testing Helipads in Mission.miz
  6. Thanks upuaut! Apologies for the misunderstanding. Tomorrow will de-activate the Mod, place the two files in their proper place in the Mod, do a repair and check it again! Looking forward to the Bell 47 machine!!! It's looking very good!
  7. Hi upuaut, Apologies for the delayed reply, but work can sometimes get in the way:(. De-activated all mods, moved the "StructTable.sht" to "Bazar" and moved the "db_countries.lua" to "Scripts/Database". Activated the 'Helipads_Cargo_RaceGates_Hospital v1.5.5' only, and still come up with an empty field around the airport... no helipads visible. Attached here are the Mission file, the DCS Log and a pic of the empty field. I'm sorry this is turning into such an odd behaviour-issue. Do I need to do a 'DCS 1.5 repair' again, now that the 2 new files are installed? dcs Text.txt Test 2.miz
  8. Hi upuaut, Thanks for the very quick reply and solution! Due to work am not at my computer at the moment, but will apply the attachment tomorrow and give you an update. Thanks again!
  9. @upuaut: Have attached the 'log' file and the two mission files for testing. For some reason the 'Dcs.txt' file wouldn't upload:huh:, so renamed it to 'DCS Logfile.txt and that seemed to work. @Huey: How does one un-install JSGME? I don't find it in 'Control Panel' → 'Uninstall a Program'... Is just deleting it from the DCS root folder enough? I sure do appreciate all the help from the members! I'm sure this thread is of help to others too! Great community! Test after update 1.miz Test 2.miz dcs Logfile.txt
  10. It's getting to be 21:30 here now, and have spent most of the day trying to figure this out.....:(... though not seeming to make much progress I'm afraid... Have worked my way through the 67 pages of this post, and have tried various solutions, but none seem to have any effect. Did another 'DCS Repair' this afternoon and downloaded the 'Helipads_Cargo_RaceGates_Hospital v1.5.5' once again Below are my locations of the '_MOD' and 'MOD' folders... As you can see, only 'Helipads_Cargo_RaceGates_Hospital v1.5.5' is activated in JSGME, and as far as I can see it is located in the proper folder at 'DCS World\_MOD'. The DCS' 'MOD' folder does not show the 'Helipads...' mod, though there is a 'Tech' folder now, but that shows only the 'Huey-1_ext_Fueltank' folder. To be honest, I am running out of ideas where to even start to look anymore to figure this out.... Sure appreciate the feedback and help...
  11. funkyfranky, ah, that could make sense in a way... I'm going to try that... Follow-up: Well, put all my Mods in the folder 'DCS World\_MODS'..., pointed JSGME to that folder, and can now see that when activated by JSGME, the activated folder files appear in 'DCS World\MODS\Tech', for as along as JSGME keeps the particular Mods activated. → De-Activate any Mod in JSGME; and the relevant folder disappears out of DCS World\MODS\Tech. Though now I'm still stuck with no Helipads, no towers etc. Upauat mentioned copying the content of the 'World\Textures\staddon' (which has 255 files) to 'TempTextures\staddons' (which has 322 files)... Does anyone here have experience with that?
  12. Puzzled now:dontgetit::confused:; Am I to understand that there should be a folder called '_MODS' inside the 'DCS\Mods' folder? I have all my Mods inside a Mods folder in the DCS structure, (ED\DCS World\Mods\), and they have always worked that way... unless something has changed in the JSGME workings recently...:(
  13. Hi, thanks for the help. Have a 'Mod' folder in my DCS root folder that JSGME uses for the various mods. Any of the other Mods I activate with JSGME work fine. The thing that puzzles me is that when I have the Helipads Mod activated in JSGME, it shows me the various structures to choose from in the ME preview window; I can select it, place it, and save the mission.. but when I get to the game / fly screen, there's no structure. Here is my pathway to the Mod folder where: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\Helipads_Cargo_RaceGates_Hospital_M117_1.5.5 Both 'Helipads_Cargo_RaceGates_Hospital_M117_1.5.5' and 'Helipads_only 1.5.5' (only one can be activated at a time) give me the same results → preview OK, in game nothing visible.
  14. Appreciate the advice. But am not seeming to have much luck with this. Normally can figure things out pretty quickly, but this is evading me at every turn. Unzip, & Paste: Opened the mod file and unzipped the 5 folders.... moved the folders to the DCS root structure (after backing up original 5 folders already there), but now DCS won't even start anymore. Reverted back to original DCS root 5 file folders, and DCS starts fine again... but no mods working of course. Using JSGME: Created new JSGME Mod folder ['-Mod'], pointed jSGME to the new folder, unzipped the 5 (five) folders into the new _Mod folder..., run JSGME..., started DCS..., created a new mission (Huey on airfield, select and place Comm tower with helipad in Mission Editor - All mods structures [bambi bucket, FARP, various Towers are showing in the Mission Editor Preview Window:music_whistling:)... Results: Then choose to fly the mission just made → Huey shows up on airfield, but there is no structure to be found anyway. The only thing that shows is the Bambi bucket is showing where I placed it in the grass off the runway... nothing else.... :helpsmilie: edit: razo+r: Followed Post #639 suggestion: Created a 'tech' folder in my Mod folder, placed the Mod in that folder → same results, no helipads or other structures showing around airport Created a
  15. How do I install it without JSGME?
  16. upauat, I have downloaded the latest mods from your dropbox (12/31/'16), have done a v1.5.5 repair and can see the structures in Mission Editor Preview window to select, but nothing shows up in game. Am using JSGME to install mod... and "Helipads_Cargo_RaceGates_Hospital v1.5.5" is the only mod installed. Have added line in autoexec.cfg file too. What am I missing here?:(
  17. Just download the 'all_addons.miz' from upuaut's dropbox, and with "Cargo + Helipads + external fuel-tank for the UH-1 + Hospital + Seafort + Red Sands + Racegates" (439MB)activated in JSGME, this is the view in the game; only the oilrig and Tango ship are showing... there's no helipads on land, as shown are present in the Mission Editor..... Am running out of ideas and options to try to make this work. Any help would be appreciated.
  18. Just upgraded to the latest DCS version (1.5.560565.216) and am unable to see and work with the various cargo and helipads. Have downloaded the file 'Helipads_Cargo_RaceGates_Hospital 1.5.5' (439MB) 3 times now, but cannot see the cargo, helipads etc. in the game. Am using JSGME to install / uninstall various mods, but this particular file doesn't seem to be installed. I have been using the downloaded 'autoexec' file, as per the 'readme' instructions and put it in the right folder, have adjusted the path for the location, used JSGME to install the Mod, but cannot see the various objects in the Mission Editor. The 'preview' window in ME (on right side) is also empty when I select any item. Once the mission is saved, and I go to the actual field where I've placed the items, there's emptiness where towers and cargo are supposed to be. Prior to updating to 1.5.5, I had no problems with this mod, and even made a mission that was using the helipads, Comm tower with Helipad and various cargo. Now however there's only emptiness in the land. Have also tried the mod 'Helipads_only 1.5.5' but that also gives no results; emptiness all around on the field. Don't know where the '.log' file is located, so can't post it here. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction here.
  19. Perfect, Perfect, Perfect!!! Great idea, and thanks for the 'JSGM' mod. It works like a charm!! Makes take-offs and landings even more realistic!!! Thanks for this great discovery.... and JSGM adaption!!:thumbup::thumbup:
  20. ebabil → Really??
  21. Nomdeplume & MasterZelgadis, thanks for the clarification regarding the check-boxes on either side of all the 'Mission Options' in Mission Editor.... been puzzled by that for some time now too..

  24. Eight Ball's "Forestry Operation"... All loads at the drop-off zone... Nice mission for a break, thanks! (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=105999&page=6)
  25. Wow, what a huge difference this sound mod makes!! Just installed it yesterday (May 29). Came in for a landing; slowly losing speed & altitude through the last phase of the ETL, and the sound of the engine and the rotors increased noticeably. Actually looked behind me to see if someone opened one of the sliding doors! Nope, doors were still closed!! Good job Skullz.
