What is the mod that allows you to spawn anywhere? Do you have a link?

Another thought would be to finally activate the "grass airfield" object which would allow development of any number of additional historically accurate airfields in both England and Normandy.

I remember when IL2 opened up map making to the general public. The guys who were flying made maps and finished others. Some were great, others not so. But it settled the problem and complaining by allowing the sim pilots to continue development to their satisfaction. There enough extremely talented people flying this sim to allow that to take place just as was done with IL2. Why not give it a chance with the Normandy map? Give the guys the "keys to the realm" and let what happens, happen.

How many air battles were fought in Syria as opposed to Normandy? They should finish the historically more important map before venturing off to a less historically important area of air combat. Just my opinion.

Suntsag, what are those taxi areas you show and where are they located in the ME? I've located a number of areas that I'd like to place grass airfields in the England portion of the Normandy map. I was able before 2.5.2 to make a minimum airfield and made a mission where a client's plane could spawn on the airfield. But with the newest update I can't use that mission as "template" for other missions. Good thing I made a few copies of that mission before trying so that I can continue to use each one once. So what is that taxi/runway texture and where is it located? Thanks in advance for the info.

Well, I won't be purchasing anything else from ED until they finish the Normandy map and anything else they've sold me that isn't completed. I'm tired of using half done maps, planes and objects while awaiting their promise to complete them.

What about the grass airfields as seen in the ME? That's been promised for God knows how long and it hasn't been addressed as of yet. That sure would add a lot to the Normandy map.

I must have missed that fact - what two campaigns for Normandy?

Last night a couple of my friends joined on my server and we took off in 2.5 Normandy map going after some ground targets. They were moving toward a bridge and before they got there, I dropped a bomb destroying the bridge's center section. My friends were nearby but no matter how close they got to the bridge, they saw no damage. They attacked the bridge, destroying another section which we all saw. And then I attacked again with rockets and we all saw the third section of the bridge which I destroyed. Additionally neither of them saw any trains running along the tracks which I destroyed. My question is this: in the first instance, how come they couldn't see the section I destroyed first but all of us could see the additional sections destroyed, no matter who destroyed them? Also, how come only the host can see trains?

seandst, try a cleanup and repair. You may have a corrupted download of the sim. that should take care of the problem.

I've figured it out why I was greyed out. I had a few mods in my mission that my friends DID NOT have. Once I took those out, they were able to connect and my server name was NOT greyed out.

I tried last night to set up a server on my machine with version 2.5 for myself and two friends. While they saw my name for my server in the list, it was greyed out and they could not connect. Today I noticed that there are a number of servers whose names are greyed out. Does this mean that someone couldn't connect to their servers also. I checked my router and firewall along with my antivirus to make sure that the correct port was opened and that the exe file was allowed but still no dice to them connecting. Has anyone else noticed this and what could be the problem? Thanks in advance for any help.

How about adding the ability to make our own grass strip airbases? That would go a long way to functionality for England and France. It has been talked about for months and promised but nothing has come of it so far.

I've d/l'd the CH and RAF equipment pack and put them into the correct place. when I search for them within the ME, I can see and place all of the CH objects EXCEPT the transmitter tower. It is not listed within the objects in the Air Defense grouping. It is listed within the folder of the WW2 RDF Radar Station but not within the game or ME. Any help getting this to work would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

These are great but how can we make them multiplayer so that I can fly them with the rest of my group? How do I adapt them so that there are three more "clients" in my grouping?

Where are channel frequencies for the airfields of the Normandy map located?

Most of us will need step by step instructions to duplicate what you did T{}OR to make either bomber group. While we may be experienced in making missions,I for one, have no idea how you made that bomber formation. Please help. Thanks in advance.

In looking over the naming of the various towns along the Normandy coast, I've discovered what I think is an error. On the DCS map, Port-en-Bessin is mislabeled Les Moulins. Les Moulins is actually between Vierville and St. Laurent-Sur-Mer and is part of the Omaha Beach area. It is where the D-3 Draw is located. It did not have a harbor associated with it as depicted on the DCS map. Port-en-Bessin (mislabeled Les Moulins)and its associated harbor is part of the Gold Beach area.

But you can't find WN72 in the ME. If they were then you could add them into the entire Atlantic wall from Utah to Sword. If they are selectable within the ME, where are they located? I apologize if they are there and I missed them. But if I did could somebody tell me where they are. Thanks in advance.

If you are a backer and already have the serial number, what will be the procedure for downloading the Normandy map? Where on the DCS site do you "click" to download? Products/terrains? E-shop/terrains?

I've made a mission with Hawkeye's b17E as AI and there are no bomb selections on the loadout page. Is anyone else having this problem?
