Player Tank v Player Tank Only Server - NEW! (A first for DCS?)
352ndDeacon replied to DD_Friar's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
I was one of the guys that showed up to test this mission for DDFriar. All I can say is, WOW!!! The potential for this is spectacular as is the scenery while driving around the Normandy map. My members have used the Advance and Secure missions in IL2 and because of the scenery excellence in DCS Normandy map, this is much better. DDFriar has done a phenomenal job making this initial mission and while I’m still inexperienced in using the tanks in DCS it didn’t reduce my enjoyment of this first mission. Congrats, DDFriar. Well done. My hat is off to you for your expertise in mission making. -
Player Tank v Player Tank Only Server - NEW! (A first for DCS?)

Sounds great. I hope to have a few members of the 352nd with me today. -
The Iowa class battleship is already available as a mod.

It is amazing that you, Fred, are able to get this info but the developers either are not interested or unaware of your efforts. Not interested seems more likely. A shame really because your info is so historically correct given the source you’ve uncovered. They could have made the Normandy map so much more perfect without any more effort on their part.

What is amazing is that the developers don’t access the same sites you do to get the correct info about the airfields they either have built or will be building. Truly amazing.

New Manston Airfield Normandy 2.0, ATC does not respond.
352ndDeacon replied to ac5's topic in Bugs & Problems
At least Manston has an ATC even if doesn’t respond. Lympne doesn’t have a radio frequency no matter which color you choose to make it. -
There is a great liberty ship that is a mod. Can be static or movable, your choice.

Us Navy USS Enterprise (CV-6) Yorktown-class aircraft carrier
352ndDeacon replied to Silver_Dragon's topic in Pacific Theatre
I've been reading about what a number of guys wish for in the PTO. Many don't realize that they are there already in the form of mods. The pictures attached show the USS Essex with a Corsair, Helldiver, Hellcat and P47 on its deck. The ship is escorted by the cruiser Brooklyn, the DD Fletcher. Also pictured are the IJN carriers Hiryu and Kaga escorted by the IJN Uranami and IJN Isuzu. On the deck of the carriers are a Zero, Frank and Jill. The Zero can be seen just lifting off. Many of these can be gotten from Hawkeye's Warbird thread. -
Great, now when will it be released?
-
Maestro, you said the current updates are already uploaded. Where? Where are they uploaded? Please provide a link. Thank you.

Can’t wait. This is great news. More missions to be made.

FPS display counter not displaying !
352ndDeacon replied to ScottyBS's topic in Game Performance Bugs
What is the default fps key? -
If you can get Pearl Harbor and Midway Island to work so we could spawn and take off and land, the Pacific War missions would be opened up with all the mod planes and WWII carriers available.
-
Is there any way to increase the number of parking/spawning spots on a carrier. I’m interested more in the WWII carriers than the modern ones but the way to change them should be the same. Looking at the lua for any, there is a line showing parking but when I increased it, nothing changed.

Does anyone have a F4F Wildcat mod, even if it’s just AI ? Or what about an SBD?
-
Is there any chance of getting a SBD or TBF that can be flown? Preferably the SBD. Also, has there been a fix for the F6F Hellcat?

Thank you razo+r for the answer. I hadn't set up the radio channel in the ME Is there a list all the airfields radio frequencies for the Normandy2 map somewhere?

I set West Malling as a blue base and I'm flying into it with a P51. As I get near it I press the "\" key to bring up the comms menu and then select F5 to bring up the "ATC". I select F1 which is West Malling and then press F2 "request Azimuth" but get no response. If I did the same and pressed F1 to announce "Inbound" again I get no response. What must I do or set up on the base to get the ATC to give a response?
