Flew last night on the server with no issues under 2.5.6 so all good. Looking forward to this juicy UAE mission later.

I'd say go for it. This is a mean looking killing machine that can devastate enemy units rapidly and once you master the trimming on it (a few good videos on YT explaining) you'll have a great time. ED will look after you discount wise when the upgrades arrive pretty sure they said the new cockpit is free.

You definitely need to take the carrier specific measures mentioned above eek out every last drop of performance in your favour and watch your takeoff weight. Even then it'll be a hairy enough experience getting off the deck safely but good fun.

What touchdown speed are you guys aiming for? I know this will vary with weight personally I hit the deck around 250 km/h, maybe too quick???

Have placed a gold star on my multiplayer list next to this server. After the recent update to the Normandy map this server has lots of potential to be the home for warbirds. Spent about 20 minutes flying around evening last having a look and it's very impressive. Only stumbled upon it after watching one of Philstyle's youtube videos about map updates. Great stuff!

Like the helicopter operations, I appreciate the effort to incorporate them into missions. Did a little bit of AA crate placement the other evening using the Mi-8, I thought it was a nice feature to have as part of a mission much appreciated as I know it doesn't appeal to the majority of users on this server.

I haven't even heard this music but based on the posts here I'm switching to the Mi-8 tunes!

Reference the bad behaviour I have played many hours on this server and have very very rarely experienced it. I think because it's styled as ultra-realistic it doesn't appeal as much to the problem children as hence I've rarely witnessed team killing it's usually friendly fire/mistaken identity I've witnessed which as Aplenwolf mentions is a fact of life in real war situations. Great server as always, hopefully the prats will stay away and let the rest of us have a good time.

I for one would like to see the Normandy map involved, it's definitely come a long way with the recent update. I take the point though to keep the numbers up that the Caucasus needs to be around also so using both seems to be the solution.

Need to get more on SRS on this server I reckon, get some team coordination going.

I have the same issue using an almost 4k screen LeCuvier, really makes things difficult. I hope ED do something about this as it makes being competitive nigh impossible on higher resolution monitors.

Is burning skies server only available at weekends, I'm confused as I don't think I've seen it on weekdays?

Overall I judge the F5 for me on the fact that it's one of the first modules I bought back in 2016 and I bungee back to flying it more than nearly any other type I have. You have to really work at it to nail the numbers when bombing, no fancy smart weapons in sight. Using rockets and strafing great fun also. Air to air, it's very closely matched to the Mig-21bis and if you like MP then a server like the Cold War server would be the goto place to test your abilities in the F5. I would take the plunge if I were you.

Enjoyed using the Stryker at Nalchik yesterday evening, made a bit of a change from the flying. Would love to see a bit more combined arms ability in other missions. Great server!

thefraternitysim server is an excellent PvE server for helo action. Some of the missions on the cold war server pertain to good helo action also from my experience.

5 euros sent yesterday, a great server indeed deserves support. PS would love to see LotAtc going as I like doing the ole GCI thing now and again.

Is there any news on the LotAtc being setup for the Cold War Server as yet? I like to do GCI a bit when I'm too tired for flying and there was an excellent blue GCI on evening last(Yuh), really enhances the experience. His vectors proved very effective compared to just issuing BRA info, great stuff. PS Great video 2RGT Oberst, enjoyed watching it!

Wanted to add to the appreciative comments. Really pleased to see the updates arriving and know that things are going to be further enhanced. You really have a fantastic helicopter module in the Gazelle, it deserves to be looked after I personally have had many hours of fun flying it.

The very thing! When I was growing up in Belfast the sound of the Gazelle was never far away, one of the reasons I know the Polychop sound model is top-notch!

Took the plunge and downloaded it and it only takes around 2 minutes to get it installed. Absolutely fantastic piece of work, thanks Devrim!
