I still play TA from time to time but I like more The Spring project - graphics, solutions ect are better than in original TA. What important it is for me it is better than Supreme Commander which was below average I think. Screens of Planetary Annihilation are quite cute btw :D

Well I can guide few missiles (above 3 is pointless) and it can be done successfully. Ofc targets must be quite close each other.
-
If I wanna kill few targets via Vikhrs I fire one missile, turn off laser and rapidly fire next missile. Laser will switch on automatically and both missiles are guided. After while I fire third missile and three of them fly to the targets.

Is it Su-25T? That version of frog (if it is the frog of course) is weird O_o.

Masochist :D jk :)

I don't like Auran's attitude. They produce every year new Trainz which in sense doesn't differ from previous release. I had 2004. Then 2006. Then 2009. Then 2010. I saw no significant changes. I could run again Trainz 2004 and got very similar play to the newer versions :)

These rebels could spend some money for decent phone if they wanna record such things and publicize it. :P

IIRC Russians bought some stuff before too. It is not unusual at all... if you can't develop own system you buy it and gather info from this.

For those who like Total Annihilation there is The Spring project. Open source game engine with many Total Annihilation mods. Some of them are just alike the original series, I personally play it from time to time :) Regarding Oil Rush I've never heard about it yet - perhaps if I got enough time I could check what it is.

Tunguska Missles steer like ATGM - should that be?
Boberro replied to schroedi's topic in DCS: Combined Arms
I watched year ago movie where operator locked target by black cross on some type of typical old Russian TV screen :D Then this cross snapped to the plane and it was basement for missile guide. There where screen went missile went too. I thought only newest Tunguska use full radar lock, track capability and so on. Thought we lock target via TV, fire missile and it goes where screen is. Then in close contact it detonates to kill\damage by fuse explosion. If so it seems something is wrong in the game... I often saw myself where missile were doing circles around target within very small distance.... and fuse didn't explode. I've seen once missile went through A-10 and nothing happened... missile went futher and came back 180 degrees. -
On the contrary of common stereotypes keyboard is handy. If you don't fly n close formations you don't have to get joy for successful mission accomplishments.... and that all without bigger decrease of comfort.

Hheheheh mad GheyTen drivers woke up :D

Tunguska's missiles are guided optically. Radar is used for target search and primary acquisition of sensors. Rest of it is being done by optic system where you lock target and your view follows it. Something similar to the Shkval (where you have to lock target too to get it tracked). Newer Tunguska uses full radar ;) -
LMAO :D I remember nice situation. I captured enemy base - Kutaisi IIRC. I saw A-10 in the bunker, fortunately its doors were un-blocked by any obstacles so I lowered altitude to 50 meters. Locked him in the bunker and fired missile :D While later big boom :D Guy was about to go taxi, I saw he had moved few meters hahaha I luv that ^^

Yeah when I see a mission where targets are for both sides are relatively close each other I jump to the Frog and hunt poor GheyTen :D They are blind I must say ^^ When I am in coop with A-10 I always have fun when see poor GheyTen trying to climb higher and higher. Guy flies maximum power loaded by 4 Mavericks and 2 bombs :D I often close to such GheyTen in my limo, saying "hello, sry I can't fly slower :D" and pass him smoothly leaving him smelling my engines gases :D Of course I am loaded by 2x Kh-29T, 16 Vikhrs, 2x Kh-25ML, s2x S-25ML, ECM pod....

At least it's confirmed in real environment. On the contrary it seems most of the Russ equipment has been tested on the airshows. Sometimes unfortunately not ended well.

Yes.
-
Frog has too low fuel to have AFB too - without external tanks it is 3800 kg, with external tanks it is 1800 kg more only.

LMAO :D

No.

Mostly it is. In all crashes of Ka-50 all pilots have died.

Successful and multiple Vikhrs' kills are dependant of the many factors. Other attack pattern wil be used when enemy is out of SHORAD other where we are less-more safely. Usually when you are at high alt, example 3000 meters you can fire Vikhr from 11 km. Here it need to be told if target is mobile or not. If yes in what direction it moves - to us or out of us and its speed. If toward us you gain some missile energy so you can fire at greater distance, of out of us missile will not hit target even fired from 9 km. Here we have also factor of speed - if vehicle goes 100 kph escaping you must close to it... Same applies to shoots when target is perpendicularly to us. Then missile will lose its energy faster compared to the shoots to target in from of us without moving left\right to our course. So if there are no SAMs in vicinity I fire from 10 km usually, if targets are quite close each other I turn off laser after 5 seconds and fire other missile. The first which was fired don't lose its laser beam and now both (1st and 2nd) are to kill victim. I repeat this procedure if distance to target is quite good, if not I fire single missiles till I am 1 km from the target, then I break. This all at speed of 280-320 kph but before last target I push engines at max power to have enough speed for retreat.

Su-25T has working flaps in 3 states: none, medium and full. All them work without any problems you mentioned :)

In the middle ages I'd burned you for heresy :p
