  1. Yeah, they are planning on it, but it will be a separate thing in the future at "some point". It was 100% a deal breaker for me TBH, If i want a 4-way style slew I might as well just use the keyboard for it. I have their T-50 stick inbound, but I will be using my Warthog throttle until the analogue slew T-50 throttle is released and has also been out for long enough to have some decent reviews. Hence why your product caught my eye, even mentioned it to a buddy who also has a WH. Funnily enough, he uses an Xbox controller that uses the same ALPS stick by his PC exclusively for the slew functionality it provides over the WH one! He should feel right at home using your mod.
  2. The F-16SG-HOM is Warthog compatible right?
  3. In light of the VPC throttle not having an analogue slew anytime soon, and no real alternatives to the old Warthog throttle coming from anyone in the near future, order placed! (also supporting a UK business? nice!) Honestly surprised it took this long to get a decent slew mod for the WH. Post this to r/Hoggit if you haven't already, lots of people complain about the WH slew on there, might pick up a few customers!
  4. Yeah, except that tint is like 20% as strong as the in game one at best. The one in game is far stronger, to the point of making it very hard, if not impossible to see a ground target in anything more than medium overcast, let alone rain/snow. Hell of a design flaw for an "all-weather" multi-role jet, and as shown by that vid, not one the real Hornet has. AFAIK the real one is supposedly only apparent in bright light, a bit like a transitions lens.
  5. It may not be officially supported yet, but it does work, at least on my end. Although if you edit the programs in game, it can screw up the timings until you get in a new aircraft. So set it in the .lua then leave the programming DDI page alone.
  6. Uh... "First flight of a modified AV-8B in night attack from was on June 26th, 1987. Deliveries to the USMC began in September of 1989 to VMA-214 at Yuma." "Marine Attack Squadron 214 became the first squadron to introduce the Night Attack capability into the Unit Deployment Program in October 1991, by deploying 20 Night Attack Harriers to Iwakuni, Japan, for seven months Follow-up units based out of Yuma received their Night Attack forms by the end of 1992." Limit the weapons (mainly JDAMS/TGP which are from the 90s) and it should fit in just fine. (although in very limited numbers given only VMA-214 had them before 1992.) The "S" upgraded Viggens you have on the server are from at the earliest 1993. The AJ's specific "S" variant upgrade entered service in 1996 IIRC. Even the Ka-50 entered service in 1995. I'm from around then, and I wasn't even born when the Berlin Wall fell. Don't just set an arbitrary date cutoff/other limit for one aircraft then ignore it for others, same with the Su-25T, you can just limit the ELINT/MPU gear and boom, no SEAD. Although the T variant never even entered service. TLDR pick what fits, but don't cite the dates as the reason when it clearly isn't. I get that "cold war" type missions can be real delicate things but 1947-1991 is at best, a little misleading with choices like that IMO. Introduction dates or selections based on balance, don't do both, that's how we ended up with War Thunder. This may come off as "ranty", but I am legitimately trying to offer some constructive criticism. The concept looks great though, and I look forward to seeing how it develops in the future. Is Blue-Flag style gameplay rather than the 104th the end goal of your project? As it seems similar in scope.
  7. We cant get even one Russian 4th gen study sim, but apparently DCS, a series famed for it's clicky cockpits and for coming from the devs of the "Flanker" series thinks dumbing down it's main selling point will be a good idea? What? Not even a FC level competitor to the Hornet that will dominate?
  8. C'mon ED, when are you going to fix these? It's been half a decade at least at this point since the GAU-8 one was reported!
  9. If the J-11A we have modeled, does NOT have a datalink, how is this even a question? Remove it. It hurts as a REDFOR player sure, but realism takes priority over all other aspects, this is a simulation! Model the J-11A as it is nin reality, not as we wish it was. We still have the Su-27 and it's datalink if we want that capability.
  10. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_Tamar_Airport Neat little airfield nestled in the Caucasus mountains, once I found out it exists I was surprised it wasn't in DCS already. It lies almost slab bang in between Sukhumi and Nalchik, in the village of Mestia, in the grid LN16. The airfield would make a great location for missions IMO, and add a lot to the central portion of the map. We got new airfields added to Nevada, and this one won't require any expansion of the current map, maybe this is actually something that ED could (relatively) easily add?
  11. Yeah, the F-16C is up there with the F-14 in terms of NATO jets I want to see in DCS, but It's becoming painfully obvious we won't be getting a DCS: modern Russian fighter anytime this decade.
  12. Yeah, I knew the F-14 was going to be good, but holy.... Move over F/A-18C, there is a new flagship module in town!
  13. Apologies if this has been answered already, but as shown in this documentary, the FLIR system developed for the "Night Attack" (and later, GR.7) Harriers has some sort of thermal cueing indicator or "TCI" on the FLIR video feed, highlighting hotspots with an inverted chevron. This is shown functioning in the video, at 35:50. Is this a function planned to be modeled on the RAZBAM FLIR system? EDIT - Found it:

  15. Looks great Cobra! Now we wait for pre-purchase...
  16. Welcome to the 3rd Generation, where the HUDs are basically gunsights and the fights are rear-aspect!
  17. Out of the ones listed? - 1979 (F-15A, F-16A, Kfir vs MiG-21Bis, MiG-23 and MiG-25) Missiles, but not amazing ones, no side has technological superiority, and classic dogfights were still a large part of the air combat scene. Anything past the introduction of the AIM-120 gets heavily one-sided. Great for us westerners in the real world, but takes much of the fun out of a sim. Also, seriously want an F-16A.
  18. Can the Mistral not be mounted on the regular Gazelle variants? And if no, will it ever be able to?
  19. Optimism huh? Wonder how that will turn out...
  20. This is one of those "minor" details that adds so much to the experience in a sim like DCS. Would love to see this for all aircraft that need it at some point.
  21. Looking good! Cannot wait for it!
  22. MFG Crosswinds here, no problem at all with NWS here either. Sensitive, but not overly so IMO. NWS feels good. Maximum speed: 917 kn (Mach 1.6, 1,060 mph, 1,700 km/h) ; at altitude So that would be 1700KPH ground speed, not indicated. Not sure what that would be in IAS.
  23. "Maverick get down here and get this asshole off of me!" "Easy Cougar, bring it back hard right, help me engage"
