  1. As usual AI damage model sucks. Player damage model is far more advanced. Melon size hole is airframe = bad day
  2. I'll turn FFB off to check but either way it needs something doing ;)
  3. Not a big issue but nose down trim in the menu causes nose up trim ingame and nose up causes nose down.. Nice easy fix!
  4. Hard to believe... Spock was a 20th century icon and will live forever I'm sure there was far more to the man than the character he most famously played and my condolences to hid family and friends.

    Home Brewing

    Second batch is now bottled and kegged! Roughly 30 pints. I've just opened the first keg and its very similar to "old tom" an award winning ale... so I'm pretty pleased! Next batch will feature a little wheat to add head retention and lighten it a bit as its a pretty heavy hitter now!
  6. DCS only uses 2 cores. One for the game one for the sound. You need to check individual core useage not overall CPU useage. Also can you check you GPU load? I'm pretty sure you will discover a bottleneck... Either cpu core pegged at 100% or the GPU. DCS currently doesn't much like AMD cpus.. at least older ones. I gained 20fps going from an old Phenom 2 at 4.2ghz to an i7 at 3.9!
  7. Im not sure about feedback in helis but i'd love spme good rudder pedals with control losding and a centre that moves with trim for flying fixed wing. Unfortunately I've only ever seen FSX specific systems with £100+ motors which are still marginal for realistic forces when massively geared down too...

  10. If it were optional everyone would opt out... Ok you can rip your wing off at will but you can also turn tighter... Pull out of that 500mph dive Etc. Even FFB isn't the answer. Unless you build an FFB stick capable of reproducing the real forces.

  14. Extremely important. However... ANY scaling once within guns range will ruin peoples aim. Unfortunately its still difficult to see other aircraft even that close. I think it will be difficult to get right.
  15. Welll it might be obviously the sensible thing to do but that doesn't always mean thats what happened! Tbh any supporting documentation/diagrams will at the very least be interesting!
  16. It's very strange that it has radar ranging in A2G mode but not A2A. Unless the -1.5 degree max downward angle on the Radar just means when pulling lead to hit the target you lose ranging data? So pilots would be taught to manually dial in range perhaps? So could be technically possible just not practical. Just my thoughts on the matter. I don't use the gun much at the moment except for strafing.

  21. You NEED 45fps+ with gsync or you end up with a visible flicker as the screen refreshes.
  22. I don't get the problem with russian pits. Real pilots learn the layout... they don't have to read what it says the instrument is every time they want to know thair height or airspeed. Anyway english versions will show up!

  24. Why is it the "i hate old junkers" crowd always has a list of demands "or else" and why does that list always include many aircraft either in development or planned or rumoured to be on development? :huh: It's like they don't read the forums....
