  1. Expect To wake up to a severed horses head Soon
  2. Wrong thread! Actually I like all the aircraft posted so far! Even the IL102
  3. Very nice work! I especially like seeing RAF roundels on a bare metail airframe!
  4. F4U certainly has character and I hope it's in the works somewhere!
  5. Good job! Will check it out later then try to get someone to do a skin for me when I remember how useless I am!
  6. Remember the WW2 project was started due to the kickstarter. Without it there would have been no pieces for ED to pick up and less incentive for third parties to produce ww2 content. I "lost" many promised rewards when it all went wrong but I'm not bothered. We are seeing DCS expand into the WW2 era and that was exactly what I was hoping for.
  7. Spitsim Edge Combat stick was my choice. Very smooth accurate and progressive.
  8. Similar to my old AMD machine. Just have to wait for DX11 support and hope. Or upgrade.
  9. What GPU load are you getting? As others gave said DCS is usually cpu limited so an overclock may help you if the GPU isnt reaching 100% Hopefully DX11 Support will give a much needed boost to those using AMD hardware!
  10. Random

    He is comming?

Since I don't use facebook I'd have missed this! Thanks for posting. External model looks stunning! I hope they include ground equipment like the c101!
  11. The rads open and close slowly and in automatic simply start opening when temp climbs above the green and start closing when below the green. So if you suddenly increase output and decrease airflow it won't react in time.
  12. It's simply the lack of feedback. In a real plane you can feel the TINIEST uncommanded yaw and correct it. In sims you dont have that. You are relying on visual references and dont have any peripheral vision due to monitors being small. Nose up in the air so you cant watch the horizon for any yaw. Practice is the only way and remember to keep the stick back to lock that tailwheel when needed ;)
  13. Wheres this F-104 hint? I'd say its my second favourite jet of that era....
  14. They're all nuts...
  15. Ever fly a supercub? They have HEEL brakes. Must be rather easy to stomp on them while using the rudder!
  16. Looks a lot like my rudder application in DCS. AND thats an Emil... a lot less power. Watch the rudder on the takeoff roll. Full application as the roll starts then reduces as it takes effect dancing on the pedals to keep it straight.
  17. 1: lock the tailwheel 2: dont worry about flaps 3: open the throttle smoothly but quickly over about a second to get rudder authority ASAP and use FULL right rudder as you do so ;)
  18. If you delve into the third party forums you will find theres a few potential adversaries for the Fishbed planned. Hopefully a couple will make it all the way to a full release ;)
  19. my top 5 and reasoning Edit: I have all the current modules so these are planned purchases when available. 1: EE Lightning (just awe inspiring) 2: Mk.XIVe Spitfire (to scare those pesky K4's) 3: F-14 (It's an icon) 4: Me262 (beginning of a new age) 5: Everything else (though I won't be able to afford them all I am genuinely excited about everything in the pipeline)
  20. No real downside other than tearing. I tend to trun vsync as tearing is very obvious to me!
  21. All modules have starforce... steam and stand alone.
  22. The Mig15 and Sabre are my favourite pair at the moment. I've not come across any game-breaking bugs in either and as a first foray into the payware DCS modules either makes a good buy. As to lack of single player content I'd not worry about that. Plenty of fun in multiplayer and there are a few non-combat servers with Teamspeak channels to help you learn the basics of either aircraft.
  23. Trackir 5 day to day. Oculus Rift each time a new module comes out or a friend comes over and needs impressing.
  24. Thanks for the update and thanks for sharing the WIP images. It does look staggeringly good!
  25. I wonder if in a decade MFG will be as big as someone like ThrustMaster... Fingers crossed! It's always good to see hard work and passion for an idea rewarded.
