  2. C3 went to 1.98ata K-4 units, if some are to be believed.:smilewink:
  3. TAXIING INSTRUCTIONS Check wing flaps UP. Have wheel chocks pulled. Steer a zigzag course. Taxi with stick slightly aft of neutral. This will lock the tail wheel. In the locked position the tail wheel may be turned 6 degrees to the right or left by use of the rudder pedals. For sharp turns, push stick forward of the neutral position to allow the tail wheel full swiveling action. Use brakes as little as possible. http://rwebs.net/avhistory/opsman/pursuit/section7.htm
  4. One would prefer to have them closed when on the ground.
  5. It does? Using MW 50 and maximum boost the Bf 109 K-4 was the fastest 109 of World War II, reaching a maximum speed of 710 km/h (440 mph) at 7,500 m (24,610 ft.) altitude. Without MW 50 and using 1.80 ATA the K-4 reached 670 km/h (416 mph) at 9,000 m (26,528 ft). The Initial Rate of climb was 2,775 ft. (850 m)/min, without MW 50, and 3,563 ft. (1,090 m)/min, using MW 50.
  6. When there is no ammo left the pilot could take pot shots at enemy a/c out the flare chute with his Walther P-38 or Luger.
  7. Is the stab trim, and flaps, movement stepped or smooth?
  8. What holds the flare pistol in the flare chute?

  11. When were the inflight malfunctions of the MK108 fixed, if they ever were?
  12. I knew someone could put those numbers to use. I don't know if those numbers are for the Cheyenne or the earlier mount. The Cheyenne should be better (had a reflector gunsight instead of the ring and bead of the previous installation).
  13. 14. I would prefer a George over the Frank.
  15. There many similar videos with no return fire from the bomber. As Sith said, gunner incapacitated, for if he wasn't the attacking a/c would have been ripped to shreds at that distance and no cine film would have existed.
  16. The standard outer wing cannons on the A-8 (from A-6 onwards) were 20mm MG151/20. The /R2 and /R8 replaced them with 30mm MK108s. The A-3 to A-5 had 20mm MG-FF cannons in the outer wings. The A-2's inner wing weapons, 7.92mm MG17s, were replaced with MG151/20 20mm cannons.

  18. They are putting a Spitfire V in the game so the Lufties can get to say "Actung, Actung abschuss Spitfire".
  19. Spitfire LF Mk IX TA805 And for goosebumps
  20. Very NICE! Notice the slats came out just before touchdown and all the left arm movement to get the flaps down.
  21. Thanks Interesting comments on landing and taking off.
  22. P-47 - kit airplane http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2D3k0sJ8HM To help you Juggies in flying the P-47
  23. Many a/c did not have the underside painted.
