information request 3rd party access to DCS VOIP?
Amarok_73 replied to rurounijones's topic in Wish List
@NineLine Can I ask on behalf of all interested parties what is the status of preparing a solution that will allow the use of VOIP communication outside of DCS? Talking about it with many members of our community, I see that such a product is highly anticipated by all those who run a servers enriched with solutions like LotATC. -
Exclude helipads from Jester's command circle?

Exclude helipads from Jester's command circle?
Amarok_73 replied to Amarok_73's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Hi @Zabuzard, Sure I can share the mission. Perhaps only Syria causes this issue, as it seems, it's the only map having so many H-eli pads. And related question, is it possible to filter the list of the markers shown in the same menu to the ones created by player occupying the plane? Or if not, to the ones containing specific prefix/suffix? Hard Luck Solution 3_11.miz -
Hello, Has anybody already tried to customize the Jester's command wheel to exclude from navigation submenu all the helipads and replace them with friendly airfields? null
-
Hello, Sorry for late reply, I've had no time sooner to sort it out. I can confirm, that repair has corrected this issue. Thanks for all the suggestions and assistance. EDIT: And little correction - I've also had to remove totally the A-4 mod, as with it, the F-14 had no afterburner, and fuel indicator was showing all the time zero quantity.
-
Hello, What can be the reason, that on refueling screen as well as in the messages from the carrier, the fuel state shows as follows: null

Hi @mcfleck, I wasn't aware that there are commands for these functions. Do You have any example of default.lua file that contains all of them, that I could use as an example?
-
For me, it would be just enough to have possiblity to steer the CP/G regarding the LST system from the pilot's position.

I've just started to regret that there's no longer a separation between beta and release.

DTC for DCS - new version 7.2.0 - Apache added
Amarok_73 replied to SFJackBauer's topic in DCS Modding
Same here. -
I've tried like on picture attached, tried negative values as they're presented in "Out" window (not possible to set negative), then tried some non sense figures to set, checking if there will be any difference, but did not noticed any. What would be the reason to set the MIL value separately from AB, if the end of MIL automatically means the beginning of the AB?

With what bind? I thought the Dogfight/Center or Missile Override/Center is used for this purposes, but apparently once I'll get it on the HUD (somehow, unintentionally), the "centering" causes appear this symbology. Only in dogfight it disappears. EDIT: Ok, i think i got it. It's just like submode for MRM, so holding the NWS indeed causes switch between the normal MRM mode, and HOB. Thanks for clarification @Archer.xd

As in the title - I am unable to cancel the HOB mode and get back to normal symbology on the HUD. What do I do wrong? null

Could anyone enlighten me, how is supposed to work and have to be used the new "Hardware AB Detent" options? Whatever i try, I don't get expected outcome... null

@BIGNEWY is there any chance for hotfix correcting the issues described in this thread?
-
I would expand this request by possiblity to save the kneepad bookmarks per module, as some of them can consist of dozens of pages.

Prioritize landing planes before departing.
Amarok_73 replied to Amarok_73's topic in DCS Core Wish List
This is what image shows. They all circle on holding point, awaiting for the free runway. The problem is that if the airport constantly generates new planes (by purpose, according to the tactical situation), the ones in the air will never have a moment to land, because the game engine seems to set it so when those on the ground start taxing, the runway is set as occupied. So even if the plane on the ground taxing from the farthest end of the airport and it will take him like 5-10 minutes, there's no possiblity to land in meanwhile these planes that are awaiting in holding pattern. Yes, using the Hold Short point and alternate runways as it is in the real life. -
I think, some of us (especially mission editors using the scripting) would appreciate if ED would consider optimization of the landing/departing algorithms, so the landing planes would have priority before departing ones, or they would operate based on interleaved slots. And second thing is the taxing planes shouldn't automatically block the possibility for landing, especially when the latter is on final.

ETE is function of your speed and distance. If you're so close as on the screenshot (2.7), then with speed 66 kts you'll do it within 0.0409 hour or 2.45 minutes, what rouded down to single decimal gives 0.0 hours.

@LorenLuke Thanks for this information and confirmation of my suspicion. -
MMS modes and submodes, scenarios for use?
Amarok_73 replied to Amarok_73's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
I've had feelings that I have confirmed yesterday, that this part is not always work as supposed to. Most of the times, it is like, I am pressing second (and third and even fourth) time the POINT TRACK, but small cross is stuck to the center of the larger one. Can anyone confirm my observation? Is it feature, or bug? -
MMS modes and submodes, scenarios for use?
Amarok_73 replied to Amarok_73's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
Hi @Guille H. Mono, thanks for the answer but I saw already this video and to be strict, while I am easy with modes, it's still unclear to me what are functional differences between submodes, all these little crosses, diamonds, and smaller or bigger frames related related to them. Also I have noticed some inconsistency (?), that I couldn't find the explanation in the documentation related to when the offset cross (or more general pointer) can be moved, vs when it is fixed to the center of the MMS image.
