  1. I'm curious: If ED's implemention with the Hornet (which seemed to show buildings) gets baked into the core sim and does what you need, would you be adverse to swapping yours out in favour of that?
  2. There's a keyboard command for it iirc.
  3. Last few pages are guff in relation to FatSlapper's OP, fyi.
  4. ^^ This is the best advice for the Spit (and any of the current WWII aircraft). Fly it a foot above the runway and drop the throttle, you'll do a decent 3 point landing.
  5. It's up for me: https://leatherneck-sim.mantishub.io/my_view_page.php
  6. Don't buy it again. Check your account in the DCS store first. I assume by 'pre-paid' you mean you backed on KS?
  7. My apologies then, assumed you were as the glare/reflectiveness is a big issue in 2.1
  8. Uninstall 2.x then and only use the 1.5 Release. Problem solved. Otherwise, wait for ED to fix and improve the brand new gfx they've just added.
  9. Unfortunately even after explaining and showing it to them, you will now be known as dysfunction guy in your HR dept :)
  10. Considering the impressive level of detail in Cobra's OP, and even though I know the high poly is done to create various maps, I have to ask: Is that level of detail on one item actually worth the time vs completing other work? It's a genuine question considering the work that goes into just DCS aircraft, let alone the other little extra's that Heatblur are doing for the F-14.
  11. SSD wear is basically not a problem on any SSD made in the last 3-ish years. Go for "pro" or server version, and go as big as you can. They're coming with 5-10 year guarantees now. That's far longer than the life of a PC, and you'll have probably replaced it for something bigger by then.
  12. Correct. They're doing a P. They might do a S as well. Personally, considering the time taken to bring a module to DCS and the issues with teams trying to bring more than one variant in at once, I'm just going to assume they're doing the P and only the P.
  13. Wait for the patch next week...
  14. That's great guys, but I dunno what it really has to do with if there's a bug with the DCS Mig 21's light being offset. Anyone got an actual RL manual handy to reference?
  15. Check the last newsletter, there was a plan to do an update today.
  16. Can't be bothered to find the posts, but aircraft have been confirmed whereas I think they said ground units are a "maybe in the future".
  17. You know you have to hold the button down for NWS and it's not a toggle like the A-10C? Reckon it's probably a double-binding issue somewhere causing it, as like the others have said, it is a dual function button where it does NWS on ground and radio in air. Also, post a track otherwise people are just clutching at straws.
  18. Correct, dunno what Rotorhead11 is on about. There's no such thing as a GR3. I assume he must mean the F3. Personally, I'd rather see the GR series, as I prefer ground pounding.
  19. Nice photo sets, quite a lot of aircraft in those two places.
  20. I think the OP might not be familiar with Ralfi's video style. Ralfi films his stuff, but when posted, adds a verbal overview in the first ~30 seconds explaining the rest of the video. Said overview is recorded afterwards. After the intro speech, he just shows the video + sound as it was recorded. It's definitely not a review, and the prefix he adds clearly explains the issues are with him not knowing the module well aside from a view gripes like the RWR.
  21. Difficult poll! Can't pick between the Harrier or F/A-18 as both are looking like they'll drop close to another. I think if the F-14 makes it out in 2017, it'll be 31st Decemeber :)
  22. The RN-24 used to work, as does the -28. They're a bit bugged currently, there's a thread about them in a Mig21 section. VEAO have the Lightning and Hunter on their wishlist. So you never know...
  23. You really needed to make another thread on ground handling? You replied in the last one: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=188163&page=3
  24. Doesn't matter who I am. I also never said your facebook page was closed, so don't see what that has to do with me or negates anything I've said. However, I know who you are, I still remember when your joint venture with VEAO fell apart due to licensing costs/contract terms with the aircraft manufacturer. I just hope you've managed to secure your own funding/found away around that if you plan on bringing this to DCS:W as a paid module. It'd be disappointing if you're giving people false hope for a second time. I do wish you the best of luck in bringing this to DCS:W though fwiw.
