Which mod moved this thread to wishlist without reading? :)
-
YES! It's a massive pain. I posted in the bug section for 2.0 about it: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=192267 Last time it was changed in DCS (1.2.x), it was fairly swiftly fixed.

Offloading "server" workload to another CPU
Buzzles replied to Mr_sukebe's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Already on the cards. Can't be bothered to find c0ff's post again, but ED are planning (long term) on moving to a client-server internal architecture for DCS. -
Hopefully not too long now. All these screenshots are great and all, but tbh, 2.5 can't come fast enough for all the other benefits.

Pfffttt, Testing build for UAT == build is complete  Not in my experience of dev'ing commercially :) Clients be strange and fickle beasts. Although, with all the progress thus far, it does look as if Razbam are on track to release a public beta build by the end of the year.

Yes...and what's your point? If they have to hold a stock of badges, considering the modules are digital, it means they'd have to physically ship the badge. ED might not hold the stock in Russia, but someone will have to, and they'll be shipped from there. On a ~$50 module, that's going to be $5-10 depending on where you are in the world. Postage isn't cheap these days. Personally, I'd rather not see them bump up the cost of the modules to cover it.

Literally on the first page guys:

Pretty sure all the calcs are already being done per engine. Look at what happens with aircraft like the A10C, F5 etc... if you damage but don't lose an engine, or even easier: if you simply just split the throttles. All ED would need to do is program in a little bit of variance into it.
-
Not as part of the module. Cost would be huge. Buying them, storing them, postage (globally!). Nah. Could ED offer them as extras via the store? Yeah, sure.
-
What's really really interesting, which no-one I think has mentioned, is that this is a module within a module. Interesting times ahead methinks.
-
Honestly? Come back in six months. 1, 2 and 4 are in progress by ED. 6 months, or when the vaunted 2.5 version of DCS:W lands on the release branch, will have probably seen those tackled and put the WWII side of things in a much better state. It's not in a bad state now and ED have been making strides, but it's not all quite there yet.

I think I'm going to have to finally invest in some pedals. The twist on the stick sounds as if it just isn't going to cut it for the Tomcat.

If you want ones for NTTR, then the 476th have you covered: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=181232 Direct link: http://www.476vfightergroup.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=287 FWIW, the package used to work fine under 1.5, but at one point it had some issues with clipping when using them in the Black Sea map. They do work in NTTR though. Could try again in Black Sea, it might be fine now.
-
Cubanace, can you move all that stuff for your mod to your own thread please? This is a thread for Razbam's version after all.
-
Only the first 4 have been confirmed. The other 4 are probable, but I'd temper your expectations as this is DCS and everything is subject to change.

SU-57 PAK FA "EFM" DEMOSTRATION TEAM
Buzzles replied to cubanace's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I'd very much consider using Visual Studio Community 2017 over VS Code for editing this, considering it's a visual studio project (vcxproj) with all the trappings that comes with it. -
The trim's fine. Just stop filling up the rear tank with MW-50 or fuel.

** UPDATE: F-14 Flight Model - Episode I - "The Basics" **
Buzzles replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Looking good. Can't wait to see the final assets though. -
My fellow AMD brother, do not dispair. C0ff has said they're working on using multicore and threading behind the scenes. When that future day comes that those changes are released, the Blues will fear the might of our fully operational battlest... optimised and faster-at-multicore CPUs!

I hope they don't add proper nuclear weapons. I agree with the argument that it's a store, so should be added, but I don't think that's enough in this case. I think adding them would be a risk DCS gets picked up by some media outlets with some stupid headlines like "mass murder simulator" / "nuclear bomb trainer!" and then potentially we have a problem if aircraft manufacturers or even 3rd party devs don't want to be caught up or associated with that. Also, they're weapons of mass destruction. Regardless of any ethics/potential controversy, they'll have to be banned on every server, removed from most campaigns/single missions, and tbh, not really have much of a place for a player who is delivering them. You'd do it once in a single mission, then go back to actually doing precision strikes with mavs/lgb's etc...

More whacky fun with planes - Su-33 Edition.
Buzzles replied to HolyMackeral's topic in Su-33 for DCS World
I don't see the point of this, did you do it just to try and antagonise ED? Su33 is getting a PFM soon, and all that comes with it, including much improved ground handling. The SFM it currently uses isn't great. We already know that. -
If you think just under 30 days is a long time, you must live a very fast paced and varied life.
-
I really hope it ISN'T included. Twin seat == more work. Aviodev bit off far more they should have with the EB+CC combo. I'd rather see them focus on a single seat F1EE, get it's ASM + EFM done, and ship it, before starting on the twin seat.

And that something is not the Mig-23, as per their response on FB.
