As good as Ironhand has explained it, I could not have done it :) I also look reguarly to the advised hight and speed on the HUD and the direction on the monitor (don't know if this is a good habit however).

Therefore, I use the indications on the HUD and the monitor (also for night landings).

Yes, I too like the MIG 21 a lot; esspecially the flying and landing (pretty high speed) experiences and even more bad weather approaches. For me, she really looks like the "real thing".

If you take the "long" take off position, you can take off, while full loaded: all possible bombs and AG rockets and fuel and nevertheless, you manage to take off :)

I have the Mig 21 since about 3 years and flew about 100 hours (must look in my logbook and will with an edit give the exact data) and enjoyed her a lot: trained to navigate and RTB in bad weather conditions. Now I payed maybe Eur 40,-- for her, so I think that the cost was about Eur 0,40 / hour: surely nothing to complain :) Now I understand, that there are still some issues and I read that the devs are working on it. But then that complaining of these customers who payed some money (sure not that much) and are going to bash the devs and that bashing get worse all the time: I HATE IT! Must be very demotivating for the devs! To the devs: I thank you for developing the Mig 21: she is a fantastic aircraft and I have enjoyed her a lot and hope to do that some more in the future :)

Noticed not so much difference in 2.5: take off (50% fuel; 4 AG rockets) without any problem :) will try it also with a full loaded aircraft......

The possibility to command the AI after returning at the airfield or carrier, to repair / reload weapons and fuel. (or is this allready possible now?)

She is shooving sidewards (also with wheelbrakes on) but: only in 1.5.8; NOT anymore in 2.2.0 :)

Together with the content of your signature, this remark is not very flattering for the topic poster i.m.o. Now, it happens that I know him very well and by that I also know that he is somebody who reads all the manuals through and through and study the weapons he uses before posting a topic about it. I also know that he once flew the "real thing" (F104 and others) and was even a test pilot of her.... and therefore certainly is not ignorant about using weapons etc. :) I.m.o. remarks of the kind you make should be made a bit more "holding back" I think!

Yes, how could that be possible: when I was about 15 years old there were these advertisements in the papers about becoming an F104 pilot (pretty dangerous in that time!!) and I thought, that should be great: but not everyone is accepted :) Now I fly online with one of them and he even is my neighbour :) He is the type who wants to learn all the specifications of the aircraft and I'am able to be a bit lazy about that because I can simply ask about "which button does that" :smartass: He also makes the missions so that there I also can sit back and wait. Well, we are about the oldest on this forum, I think, but still enjoying DCS a lot :)
