I'm considering a monitor upgrade myself, but I think I'll see what the reaction is when Oculus Rift is released. I imagine that no matter what you get in the monitor department, at some point it seems too small.

What time of day are you interested in flying?

Honestly I don't care what aircraft come next. I'm sick and tired of flying the Georgian map. The Strait of Hormuz is what I'm waiting for.

Only thing......Flight Sims haven't lead me into any really bad decisions. I can't say that for beer.

I've been flying the A10C quite a bit lately and haven't noticed any anomalies since the update. You might want to try a repair. You may also want to rename your DCS folder in your SAVED GAMES desktop folder and fly a mission. A new folder will be automatically created. That may correct the issues. You can always copy back the config files from the old setup if you want to. (A solution handed down from the great......wait for it........BLOOZE).

Yes. They complete the immersive experience adding rudder control and braking. I agree you won't need them much in the air with the DCS aircraft. I just ordered a set of MFG Crosswinds after my Saitek Combat Pedals quit on me. I wouldn't fly without them. Helos are much easier with pedals.

I took the plunge and went for the MFG Crosswinds. The reviews are nothing but positive on several different sim sites.

After about 14 months of daily use, the left toe brake on my Saitek Combat Pro Pedals has decided to stop working.....totally....dead....no life. The right toe brake was always a little twitchy. I bought them to replace my CH pedals. The CH pedals were always reliable but the pedals were too close together and they weren't comfortable. I gave them away. I'm looking to upgrade with a new set. I liked the looks and size of the Combat Pro pedals. Quality is now in question. They were always noisy and felt cheap. But until now, they worked and that was fine with me. I don't want to buy junk but I don't want to take out a personal loan with the bank either. I'd like to keep the price under $500.00. As I see it, my options are: MFG Crosswind, PFC Pedals, GoFlight, Saitek or CH. Am I missing any other manufacturer?

Set your MSAA to 4X. Set your Resolution of Cockpit Display to 512 or 1024, but you don't need every frame.
