  1. The AMRAAM is around 60% of the weight of the R-27 - and that's just a ballpark figure.
  2. Ordered mine tonight - can't wait!
  3. Worked a treat, thanks!
  4. Was willing to donate to Staraway for this, but I'm going to wait to see if it hits the first target - not risking it until then.
  5. Same issue for me - I've emailed support, but have had no response as of yet!
  6. I actually switched over to the standalone installer at the weekend with the intention of finally teaching myself to fly the MiG, and the activation broke... :( In any case, I'm actually really excited about this - preordering soon!
  7. The "MiG-31" adversary livery would be awesome, along with Iranian skins, for OpFor slots on MP servers. Other than that? VF-48 - splash the Zeros!
  8. Surely you mean Fox 1 long? ;)
  9. Definitely, +1
  10. Getting the "error creating process" on Steam version too :(
  11. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=120911
  12. Do you have any? Not that I doubt you, I'd just love to see them!
  13. I never heard of that one before - I'd read it was two 'winders, two Sparrows, and a Phoenix - though this may have been the "wartime" CAP loadout.
  14. I've often heard of Navy Hornets being sent up with around 1-3 missiles (heater and Slammer mix) for CAP, so I suppose it's not outwith the realm of possibility
  15. Love my X-55... would literally throw money at a Tomcat-style stick for it!
  16. GTX 780. Though I just won a Titan Black in a competition... >.>
  17. 97's have a much more "straight down" trajectory as opposed to 87's, hence the steeper dive angle required.
  18. Are we sure this isn't just a small amount of pilot error? I often find, especially the further I am from the target, that by the time I have (for argument's sake) halved the distance that the TGP is off by some amount - I always assumed this was because I couldn't be as accurate as I wanted at longer ranges, and as the distance closed this error was multiplied?
  19. I personally love my X-55... haven't had any issues other than not getting DCS to recognise the mouse nipple (the Saitek software recognises it). Really easy to change springs, loads of buttons... good stuff in my view.
  20. I'm going to ignore the comments about how the Hawk doesn't belong in DCS - while I would prefer a more iconic combat aircraft (I do have a massive crush on the F-4, especially in its Wild Weasel or Royal Navy FAA flavours!) I also happen to love the Hawk - just make sure we have a Red Arrows skin! :D
  21. No sir, I load it every time... I may try re-installing the Saitek software.
  22. Know what I'd love? An A-6A Intruder. A -B model as well! Speeding along at 200 feet, 500-lb bombs under the wings (or Shrikes, if you fly the B!), yes please! I voted for the F-16, though. As much as BMS has done a good job of making Falcon 4 a modern(ish) sim, it's nowhere near DCS, and I have loved the Viper ever since I watched Iron Eagle as a kid!
  23. Just keep an eye on the brake with the Mk I eyeball and deactivate the button/slider when it's retracted as much as you want it - that's what I do! Shein - I still haven't managed to get my mouse nipple to actually do anything in game, despite being recognised by the Saitek software! I had a thought - how about using the paddle as a modifier to bind slew to the coolie/china hat instead? I'll try it later when I finish work.
  24. What's this about buttons not functioning as press and hold? Codswallop! Using Shein's profile I have speedbrake functionality and weapons release with 'press and hold'. I happen to be very pleased with my unit. It may be that you have a lemon and it needs RMA'd?
