  1. I ran it with VSync off (both, ingame and NVidia graphic settings)
  2. Oh man, I´ve overseen the "high" advice. My bad. Will repeat the test and post the result and add the settings I actually have for reference. Here the result with "high" settings: 03-05-2019, 13:20:59 DCS.exe benchmark completed, 12887 frames rendered in 220.062 s Average framerate : 58.5 FPS Minimum framerate : 5.9 FPS Maximum framerate : 106.9 FPS 1% low framerate : 10.9 FPS 0.1% low framerate : 1.0 FPS The GPU had a load of appr. 50% during the Benchmark. As my GPU is faster than the one from the OP I guess this is a CPU limited result. Which makes sense at low resolutions.
  3. Hi Vertigo, nice idea. I´m not sure about the graphic settigs in the replay. Does it display your or mine? I guess mine, so this should have a huge impact on the results. Xoxen 3-05-2019, 11:13:28 DCS.exe benchmark completed, 13262 frames rendered in 222.188 s Average framerate : 59.6 FPS Minimum framerate : 0.7 FPS Maximum framerate : 107.1 FPS 1% low framerate : 10.4 FPS 0.1% low framerate : 0.7 FPS Graphic Settings:
  4. How was the impact of the GTX 1070 for you?
  5. You need to play around with the two dimensions to find your proper setting.
  6. I have 3 x 27" main displays and 3x 8" displays for the MFCDs. Please keep in mind that Nvidia cards are limited to 4 displays max. Respectively I´m running 1x GTX 1070 and 1x GT 1030. Xoxen Edit: I tried a GTX 1050 instead of the GT 1030 but no difference in FPS, so no need for a fast card just to fire up the small displays.
  7. I´m running three of them, no issues over here.
  8. Hi, I played around with FOV for a long time and these settings and the zoom slider full back is what works best for me. I have 3x 27" WQHD with a resolution of 7680 x 1440: CameraViewAngleLimits = {70.000000,130.000000} If you put the second dimension too high you have a bad fisheye effect at the sides (you cannot get rid of it anyway but can get it into a reasonable range). I hope this helps. Xoxen
  9. Don´t get me wrong, I really like the cold feel of the grip. This is exactly what I like compared to the plastic ones. You have metal in your hand, it feels strong and resistant and has a little more weight. So don´t make it too thin ;) And after a long flight it is warm by all the heat the mission brought up :)
  10. Perfect news. This looks like a bright future for you and your project. Even though many real life sticks are out of plastic the feel of the metal stick of my Warthog is unbeatable. Cold when you start and warm, when you finish. So metal from my perspective is definitely the right choice.
  11. Many thanks for clarification, must have overseen it. I will carefuly follow this post to see how things are proceeding  Edit: I would love to see interchangeable grips in the future to make the invest even more future proof for new modules. Did you consider this?
  12. I also find this upcoming product quite interesting. But I have problems in understanding the business case they are doing. The more people buy, the cheaper it gets. I can understand this as they have to invest into development and molds and need to depreciate the invest. But before an investment I personally would try to figure out best possible how much items I´m able to sell. Otherwise I might end up in a product nobody will buy because it is too expensive. A poll would be a good start, something like "What would you spend for a professional metal F/A-18 HOTAS?" 200-250$, 250-300$ etc. But anyway, let´s wait and see before we start to go crazy here ;) Xoxen
  13. I´m running the same CPU but a GTX 1070, I have no performance issues, even at 3x 2560x1440. What are your expectations? With my setup I´m reaching around 80-90 FPS on one screen and app. 45 FPS on 3 screens with reasonably good settings.
  14. Hi BitMaster, I don´t know if I will ever be able to test this combination. Buying one card equals selling the other. Or the long awaited lottery winnings will finally come ;) First of all I will start with the GTX 1050 TI which is not really fast but compared to the GT 1030 already much better. To be honest I´m already looking for a GTX 1080 TI, but my wife needs to be convinced first that I can´t live any longer without. I have to say that I got a 2 year hardware-buying ban from her after I bought the GTX 1070 and 3 27" displays. But it´s over since last month ;) I´m ready to go. Xoxen Edit: OK, got my GTX 1050 TI today and I am.......very disappointed. No difference in FPS at all.
  15. Hi all, I did some further observations and pressing CTRL+Paus 2x brings up some further information instead of the FPS only. I saw a video memory usage of 10.850 MB, so much more than displayed in task manager or Afterburner). As my video card only has 8 GB I wonder if it uses the RAM from my PC. The second card has 2 GB but this is not used as displayed in one of the attached pictures. My next plans are: - Installing a GTX 1050 TI to see if there is a difference in FPS when I put it in. I already purchased it and am waiting for delivery. - If this fails I tend to convert to a video card with higher amount of memory, e. g. a GTX 1080 TI or the new Radeon VII. I´m already flying for quite a long time with 30 FPS so I´m not in a hurry. I´ll keep you informed, maybe the one or the other finds this interesting. Xoxen
  16. Overclocking to 4,6 GHz (from stock 4,4 GHz) didn´t change a thing. Still 30 FPS. Regarding the RAM values of the GPUs I´m also wondering.... Edit: At least I was able to figure out that using my iGPU Intel HD 4600, which I used before some issues with the intel driver, brings only 20 FPS. An indicatin that a faster GPU brings more overall speed. My next step will be buying a GTX 1050 TI or GTX 1060 to make some trials. If it fails I will sell it again. Hopefully my power supply will make it. It has 550W (be quiet! Straight Power 10).
  17. You find them attached. This would mean than an Overclocking should show me a gain in FPS if you are right. Something I could test quiet easy.
  18. I only checked with the Windows Task Manager and there seems to be some clearance to full load. Two cores are running at appr. 70% each. PCIe bandwidth wasn´t on my list so far but would make sense. No clue how to test this. The VRAM values came also from the task manager, I could double check with MSI Afterburner. Edit: MSI Afterburner confirmed the data. The BUS usage also is displayed and is 25% for the GTX 1070 and 50% for the GT 1030.
  19. Hi, I´m not sure if I haven an issue but I have the feeling something is wrong here. I am running 3 27” WQHD displays at a total resolution of 7680 x 1440. With good settings I´m getting 40-45 FPS (cockpit view) which is OK for me at this resolution. Once I add my 3 small displays to export the DDI´s and AMPCD in the Hornet my FPS drop down to around 30 FPS. So far so good, this ends up in a resolution of 10240 x 1440 and an FPS drop is reasonable. As I have 6 displays in total now I have 4 of them connected to my main GPU (GTX 1070) and 2 of the small ones to my second GPU (GT 1030). The second one is only to have 2 additional ports available. Now I was playing around with some graphics settings and I do not see any differences in FPS when I add or remove a setting. I added MSAA, SSAA and Cockpit Global Illumination and only reduced the shadows to flat wthout any change in FPS (see also attached picture with my settings). And when I´m enabling the mirrors I also see no FPS drop, it is still at 30 FPS. When I look into the sky it raises to 45-50 FPS, so it does not seem to be capped at 30 FPS. Vsync is turned off and I also tried to turn it off and on and off again. In on the FPS is the same but looking into the sky raises it to 38 FPS only. Could it be the small GPU which is slowing down the system? I would test it but I have no other GPU available and wouldn´t buy one as long as I have no indication it could improve the situation. And this is exactly the reason why I´m posting this. Maybe someone in this forum has an idea if this is OK and I cannot await something better at this resolution or if really the small card is kind of a show stopper. Maybe also the display cables could play a role, so I will add them here: GTX 1070 Display port --> 27” HDMI 1 --> 27” HDMI 2 --> 27” DVI --> 8” (I use an HDMI-to-DVI cable, card is DVI, display HDMI) GT 1030 HDMI --> 8” DVI --> 8” (I use an HDMI-to-DVI adapter, card is DVI, display HDMI) Any information is very much appreciated? Thanks, Xoxen Edit: GPU usage without MSAA and SSAA and Cockpit global illumination is GTX 1070 (99%), GT 1030 (30%), with those turned on GTX 1070 (99%), GT 1030 (60%), The RAM of the GTX 1070 is at 7,7 GB out of 8 GB, the GT 1030 at 0,2 GB out of 2 GB.
  20. This would be incredibly awesome. Even though mine is still working good (after 1x of greasing it up) I again get the feeling it get´s a little sticky. I dislike the idea of frequently greasing it up (1st time went fine without breaking the cables) so a new gimbal would be something (if well done) I would buy.
  21. From my point of view this would be a bad decision by TM. I'm now used to my original WH stick at the Hornet already so no need to buy the Hornet stick. I would have done it when the release of early access and the stick would have been at the same time. The throttle would be more interesting now. I just believe that TM is going to miss the right point of releasing the stick. Or they are secretly working on the throttle as well. Just my 2 cents.
  22. It is not mentioned in the changelog......
  23. Instead of "F18_AMPCD" use "CENTER_MFCD".
  24. I will give it a try next time I´m brave enough to disassembly me Warthog ;) Thanks for the advice, Molykote wasn´t as long lasting as expected.
