  1. I´m wondering what the average age of the 500 something viewers is. I´m 45 ;)
  2. Hi Gothicghost, I bought dust covers some time ago and wrote a thread about it. I guess this guy is still in business. Have a look here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=188672 The "Remove before flight" hanger can be bought there or simply watch out at ebay, got two for 1,50 EUR incl shipment when I remember right. I hope this helps and yes, they are plain cool and I´m always happy when I see them ;) P.S.: Just see that the original post is from 2013, my bad.
  3. In lack of money I´m very much interested in the cheaper development. If this would come similar to the professional solution it´ll be very much appreciated. Keep up your good work. With people like yours flight simming is even more fun. Thank you very much for your efforts. Xoxen
  4. Thanks Thermal, this is what I was looking for. Xoxen
  5. I have a quick question. I know that if I turn around the idle detent part I could use it as afterburner detent. But then I´m loosing the idle detent and additionally it´s not very easy to go into afterburner without lifting up the throttles. Is there any part in your products which I can use to have the idle detent still there like it is and have a small detent to go into afterburner. For sure I´m referring to the upcoming F/A-18C ;) I had a look in your shop but was not really sure about my findings. Thanks. Xoxen
  6. Hi Guppy, haven't tried it by myself for long but I guess this should work: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=123456 Xoxen Edit: Not sure about the Integrity Check but this does not give you any advantage, so it is no cheating. Edit 2: Forget my link, this displays exactly what you did already. Sorry, but no further infos from my ends possible. I by myself am struggling with the FOV and IC having 3 displays.
  7. It looks great. I follow your thread for a while now and am impressed about the progress. I guess there are a lot who wants it. If it is really plug´n play with only a recalibration and the costs are reasonable count me in. I´m waiting for your PM or the eBay link ;) Thanks for your effort. Xoxen
  8. Up to 2.5 everthing was great for me. Deferred shading with MSAA is my new challenge. I used to play with HDR which is still OK at NTTR but not good anymore in Caucasus because of the trees. Today I got the proof that its not the CPU. Overclocking it to 4.6 GHz brought no difference. So I only can hope that ED does a good job on performance improvements and I will also start to put some money aside for the new 20xx series from Nvidia. And I pray the miners will stop converting electrical power into virtual money and buy everything they get.... Thanks for your input, I'm a little smarter now. Xoxen
  9. Hi Rudel, thanks for the answer. This was my guess as well. I believe I wait for new Nvidia cards before spending 900 Euros for a TI. Let's see what will come up. I'm close to do a CPU overclocking trial to see if there is any benefit or if above guessing is totally correct. Xoxen

  11. Hi all, I simply would like to have some feedback from those who are using 3 WQHD displays like I do to see if it is my GPU or CPU which is the „weakest“ part of my system (my system see below). I´m using 3 27” Asus displays with a total resolution of 7680 x 1440. Additionally I´m using 2 7” displays for the MFCDs which adds 1280 x 720 to the resolution giving a total of 8960 x 1440 (also see attached picture). Everything was fine with 2.2 and 1.5. I never saw the necessity of using deferred shading as it was beatiful enough for me. But now Caucasus isn´t, let´s say, as beautiful without DS anymore. With the same settings I dropped from 55-60 FPS to 30-35 FPS. Damned. I checked all the optimization guides and with MSAA off (had 2x before) I can get 40-45. This is OK for me even though I cannot use my screenshots anymore because of unsmoothed edges. Anyway. When measuring the load of my system with MSI Afterburner I saw the CPU loaded at appr. 20%. OK, if 2 of the 8 cores are fully loaded I only can await 25%. Is it that simple to calculate? My GPU shows 100% all of the time. Is this an indication of it being the bottleneck? I have no clue about my VRAM and RAM usage but when I remember right tis was not at its limits with a distance. I´m always checking FPS with the same mission in Caucasus (free flight, start in the air). By the way, my 2 small displays do not affect the FPS. Textures HIGH Terrain Textures HIGH Civ. New GPU or new CPU? I´m not an overclocker and respectively not so much experienced on this. When I overclock my CPU I should see a benefit as long as my GPU is NOT the bottleneck, correct? Lots of guesses and thoughts. Maybe there are some mates out there which can share their experiences. Thanks in advance, Xoxen
  12. Hi, you could check with MSI Afterburner or similar how huge the load of your actual GPU is. If it is not at 100% and much lower this could be an indication of the CPU to be the bottleneck. But be careful having a look at the CPU load, 25% in total could be 100% on one core only at a quad core CPU without HT. My CPU is at appr. 20% load (quad core with HT, so one core has 12,5% of the total) while my GPU shows 100% at 8960x1440 res. Maybe some smarter people than I am could confirm my assumption. Xoxen
  13. Hi all, still got 2 disconnections in 2.5 in a 5 minute flight. Would be great to get this solved as it always happens when you really don't need it (e.g. AAR). Xoxen
  14. Great, just ordered it to Germany which makes it appr. 50 EUR incl. shipment.
  15. Hi, somtimes I also have the feeling my PC does not give everything he would be capable to do. I recently figured out that deleting the shader folder in saved games brought me 15 FPS more. Didn't check the usage but I was happy to figure this out. At least worth giving it a try. The exact name of the folder is metashaders or something like that. It will be build up from DCS again. Take care, Xoxen
  16. Hi exray, just one small remark which might increase your fps. Your small displays seem to be lower in resolution copared to the large one. I by myself have two small ones as well with a resolution of 1280x720 each. When I now see the resolution of your main screen of 3440x1440 it would help to put your two small ones on the right side of your main but on top of each other. So the overall resolution is reduced in width. When I sit at my Computer I will make a screenshot for better understanding. At your config DCS calculates the area where no display is (underneath your small ones) as well. Putting them on top of each other reduces this area. I hope this is understandable. Edit: see attached picture. For me there was a difference in FPS Take care. Xoxen
  17. Hi Cowboy, for me this was easier than for you as I was able to compare your Monitor.lua with mine. But I´m always happy if I can help out with knowledge which took me some hours to figure them out by myself long time ago ;) So I was aware of your pain and needed to help. Have fun with DCS and the right Position of the GUI now. Xoxen
  18. Hi Cowboy10UK, I guess I found your mistake. Replace the line "UIMainView = Viewports.GUI" to "UIMainView = GUI" For me this works like charm. Please let me know if this helped you. Xoxen
  19. Hi MrSloanes, I guess this site will help you. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=180706&highlight=Mfcd+export Xoxen
  20. Hi Rangoon, I have 3x 27" WQHD displays at my GTX 1070. As Nvidia only can handle 4 displays in total at one card I used my integated graphics unit from the CPU to fire my 2 external MFCDs. This worked quite good for a while but with an Windows 10 or intel update I had many FPS issues. Finally I quit using the integrated graphics unit and went for a GTX 1030 instead. This works good and solved my problem. So 2 cards from the same company (nvidia or AMD) should work quite good. If there is a benefit speed wise if you are below 4 displays is something you need to test. If your goal is to unload the main card this could fail. When I use the 3 displays only I have good frames. Exporting the MFCDs cost me 10FPS even though it is fired by the small GPU. The workload of the 1070 is 100% and the 1030 has 70% (MSI Afterburner). So the small one does anything. But I'm happy like it is now. I hope this helps. Xoxen
  21. Hawg, you are right, if the laser has free sight I also can go in a turn. JTAC or Buddy lasing would be the option. Xoxen
  22. Hi, when I do like Hawg mentions I can see the TGP directly pointing on the target when overflying it. But I know what he is talking about and already had issues like this. Wind is at least something I could enter into the CDU to see if it has an effect. But the last MP mission where I failed was without any wind. So I actually use the GBU-12 instead even though I need to overfly the target. My main concern is that it worked for years and now I´m failing. Xoxen
  23. Same with me, never thought about this so far ;)
  24. That would make sense. Just found a source which mentions 9.6m accuracy. Maybe it was too deadly accurate before?! So I start thinking away from a bug.
  25. Thanks for the answers. I'm not using the laser to point the JDAM into the target but to get an even more accurate SPI. But it's like Kylekatarn mentions, 2-3m off the target. So it seems it's not just me. For me it seems like a bug. I was able to get direct hits before.
