Keep up the good work , i barely felt any lag or issues with the server this round , feels pretty solid. 1 life would cause so much grief , i was killed this week from some crazy bug with the chat window not closing , in the middle of engaging enemies, was so annoying.

So annoying , you sometimes need a key you didn't remember to bind after installing a new module (or doing a fresh windows/PC install). not to mention just forgetting the keybinding for something.

Not counting FC3 planes , i would say just the A-10C i can do pretty much anything with the MiG21 , but not fluent enough to say i`m 'proficient' . Haven't flown the Sabre in ages , i cant get a hang on the WW2 planes and no time to start learning the Hawk, C101 or the Mig17 and i just cant get around to learning even the basics of the KA50 and Mi8

Holy #@$$ cant believe its so close, its like only yesterday they started working on it. Razbam are no BS company , they deliver fast! I want this one so bad, time for DCS to have another modern AA platform.

Unfortunately Pascal seems even further than i believe a few months ago when i wrote in this thread. release dates are rumored at Q2 2016, long way off. i decided not to wait and bought GTX 980 , it quite an upgrade from my 280X the 980Ti is a great choice , i would get an aftermarket air cooled one, dont think the water cooled ones are worth it.

40$ pre-sale price is not bad at all, i think i just might order it. on the other hand my bank account is hurting pretty bad this month from the new PC. decisions , decisions.

You can install the Retail version now. 1.5 will be out as open beta install 1.5 for a long time, and it doesn't affect the retail version.

Yes about the INTEL messages: i was flying around and killing units around a FARP and city and got the messages they were ready to takeover, but i had to logoff. 1. can we get a radio menu to give us current INTEL? 2. for how long are those locations free for takeover before ground units respawn?

Greg/Xcom , the campaign is looking great and very stable. i was flying a bit this week and i got some notes: 1. we need more slots for Lonewolf / un-reserved for Attack planes and Helicopter. if i need to take a UH1H from Kobuleti somewhere farther than sector 4 it could take hours 2. more AI response , at the moment 2 players (1 attack and 1 helo) can take over all the map within hours if there is no players logged on from other team 3. Air refuel planes. 4. more ground elements for tactical command? p.s the the Buddyspike website and the real-time campaign map is simply amazing! ED should take notes.

This is so much fun , truly bringing a persistent online world to DCS!

This isn't a great time for PC Upgraders. current high end CPU`s (Intel Devil Canyon) are about a year old , but Skylake is out next month so those people in the market for a new CPU can wait a bit. for GPUs its worse , new GPU`s (Nvidia series 1000 and next AMD series X400) are not due for another 6 months. at the moment Nvidia`s Maxwell (980 series) is already a year old, and the new Fury from AMD isn't so great either. if you`r buying something for the long term (3-4 years) than wait 6 months, you`r current card is good enough and with DCS 1.5+ it will have better performance.

You dont need a special program, Windows 7 and above has a built in program called Resource monitor. (you can find it in the Task Manager under Performance Tab or just search for it in the start menu) it will tell you (among many other things) what is the peak memory usage.

To implement such platforms in-game is pretty much just guessing or using knowledge that is still classified, so i doubt you`ll get it, maybe just a 'game version' of it, like the very simple jamming we have now in DCS

Good review, made me download the campaign. TBH the terrain looks good enough and not very far from EDGE after enough mods are applied, but can't compare the cool new effects. On the second mission I was not shot at and only got partial success ( had my finger ready to spam flares for an hour)

oh... i think most were hopping for a completely separate .EXE for server that isn't running any GFX

There`s way too much PR noise around DCS 2.0 for it to be delayed much. I dont mind anymore , but i did pretty much stopped playing DCS 1.X due to not being able to look at the old engine after seeing so many screens/videos from DCS 2.0

Good update , no disappointed at all as it was already clear the end-of-june deadline could not be met due to the external testers gettting it just this month (im guessing 2-3 months) anyways , like i said - good update , we good some nice screens and info on new stuff and we got a price for NTTR (39.99$) which is not bad at all. p.s i`m planning on buying a new PC no sooner than September (waiting for Skylake-K) so i`m ok :)

you know , in a way i`v made my peace with the fact that AMD sucks at DCS i`m actually excited because it means DCS 2.0 will bring my game to a whole new level of performance. and generally speaking , i`m OK with my current performance. P.S this discussion belongs in the PC Hardware section
