Welcome to 2015 , games can take ALOT of storage these days. My BF4 install is around 60GB with all DLC , and that`s just for a FPS Call of Duty Black Ops was just released and around 45GB , also just a FPS

I`m using Sennheiser PC360 (the none USB model) , they sound good to me (i`m not audiophile). mind you that you will need a headset amp for them (unless your sound card has one built in ) as for getting just headphones and adding 1$ mic - true you will get better sound but it will not be easy or pretty to handle the mic.

gonna be hard returning to 1.2 after EDGE , but content > GFX anyday.

Also got the 6700K but honestly i doubt cpu means much in DCS 1.5 Getting around 120fps pretty constant with 1920*1200 max settins no dof/lens. Put the money into the best GPU you can afford

If i turn the health bar on objects in the F10 view, the health bars are simply stuck on the screen *screenshot after turning off health bars and moving the map to the left

40 FPS with the 3D scene, i`m guessing its using depth of field effect and that whats killing performance. anyway just switch to some theme, more interesting anyways (unless they add some action to the 3d background :) )

The memory will always use the speed of the slowest ram , so yes it will work at 1333mhz but, its proven that memory speed barely has any impact at all on games. also 16gb is enough for any gaming activity (i use 16GB without any page file and never had issues).

if you already have the open beta installed i`m guessing very little extra data (3-5GB maybe) since very little actual assets are updated in the current Aircrafts and the Georgia map. NTTR on the other hand is probably gonna make you buy a new HD...

i'm optimistic for this week, in any case there are holidays here until next Tuesday so anything until then is good :) also don't stress the 'September' thing too much, they are done with developing the software for this release , its just some issues with packaging for upload , shouldn't take too long (few days i`m guessing).

Counting sleeps? end of September? and what if , lets just say 1.5 is release October 1st? or even Oct 15th ? does that really matter? you have waited years, what a few more days? Once i accepted ED estimates are just that, estimates - i sleep better at night not having to worry about dates, nothing i can do will change a release date anyway, just relax and enjoy the ride.

CPU to CPU Skylake isnt much better than Haswell for most applications. what you need to consider is how much future proof you want your PC to be. if you upgrade once every 4-5 years like myself , i prefer to get the most advanced chipset available and then hold on to it for a long time. if you upgrade every 2-3 years then go for the cheaper option. (remember that series 100 chipset brings stuff like M.2 slots , more PCIE lanes on the CPU, DDR4 for mainstream and more )
