Another great time with the guys testing the "old" fog on our Vietnam map. The map is almost ready for an updated release. Need to get the updated LUA file for the TACAN. Disregard the comment in the video for now. I will try the LUA file suggested above.

Did Replika go under or are they still around? I have been looking to purchase a trim setup and do not want to mess with authentakit. Hoping these guys recovered from COVID and were able to continue business.

Here is a quick update from last night. Did a tour of our updated FARPs using the VAP pack assets. Loving the feel of this now. We will start adding smaller things like ammo cans and other smaller details pending no impact to performance. Kandy just upped the immersion level this morning (have not had time to test it out yet) and added fog to the Jungle. Hopefully it does not tear up performance too much. Coincidentally the ED news letter spoke about new fog changes coming in the next update. Fired up.

Speaking of good time! We are close to releasing our Dynamic Vietnam Mission. Really been working on getting the FARPs looking more like the time period with the VAP pack. Hope their are more Vietnam assets in the future. We will add them for sure. This NEVER gets old. We are in trouble when the Little Bird gets released. A lot of Afghanistan and Iraq content coming with it and the Blackhawk mod.

Highly encourage anyone who has some spare change to throw in a good direction to donate towards these guys! They deserve it. Really appreciate hearing this! This was almost my exact experience. I am hoping to hear of production improvements in the quality before I attempt buying another PIMAX. There is actually a lot of the same comments we have made out there on the web with people having the same issues. Seems like some are getting lucky and having HMD's that work fine out of the box and many others encountering this issue. Pimax did a fantastic job responding to this thread, but I wish they still had the 8KX for sale until this gets ironed out. I will be forced to choose another VR headset at some point and would gladly purchase an 8KX again if they were still around. We will see as times presses on.

Great morning Scouting with Kandy. Our mission is close to release in its current state.

I only fly in VR but use the TM HOTAS as well. To be honest, I request ground power, press the engine start button, and once it gets to the appropriate RPM, I just click the throttle with my mouse to move it into idle. Seems to be the most efficient way I have found and saves some key binding. You can see my start up process below with what I am talking about.

Working on getting your Skyraider added to our Carrier deck and expect to see it out of Anderson AF here soon in the video below. Until we get an actual flyable mod or the 3rd party gets released, we have to settle with the P-47 and a Skyraider livery. Not complaining though, it works great. Only problem is in Multiplayer, we fly with realistic radios and no other aircraft goes back that old so we have trouble staying in comms when one of us takes the old girl up. Here is me flying solo tonight taking out a group of NVA. Should have this mission out soon for the public. It will also have the P-47 in there.

Did a fam flight with the guys over Saipan this morning and conducted a joint effort in the Cayuse and Bronco attacking 2 Sam sites on Tinian. Good times! We are working on how we would like to start setting up the island to the North once we finish with Guam. The Sam sites obviously need AAA, but they are active. Zipper climbed a little to high when we went to tour Saipan and got smoked off the end of the runway. We kept that out of the video. We stayed NAP of the earth and came in over the trees to get in under the radar and stay inside its no shoot zone.

Appreciate the feedback. I take it the OV-10 will be done essentially by hand then? Looks great the way it was done in the past. What long term plans are you thinking of with it? I know you said over a year out.

I want in on this VIP VR room party as well if it goes down! I got dollar bills. We only fly in VR on our server and Vietnam is a weekly flight.

Does this mean there might be a consideration to go back to it? Out of curiosity, would you be able to do it faster if there was a 3D model generated from photogrammetry? Say from a museum OV-10?

I hate to say it, but the mod developer stated it themselves on their forum. The 3D files for the Bronco were lost. The mod was made entirely by a developer by the name of Split-Air. His hard drives apparently failed and there were no backups. We were told there is a good chance the Bronco stops there at the last release. Hope I am wrong about that. Maybe there is a chance with some older files? I posted the link to their thread below.

Every time you post new photos or videos on here, it reminds me of the time I got lucky as a kid finding Playboys in the creek behind our house. Absolutely cant wait for this girl to arrive. Working on beefin Anderson Airfield up on the Marianas and have several places to deploy her to including FARPS. Great work Nomad!!!!!!!! Out of curiosity, how much have you enjoyed making this and has it inspired any future projects once the Cobra comes out. There are so many options for Vietnam, I would love to see someone with your talent create. I might even be able to lend a hand in the photogrammetry department if you decide to do something else. We a lot of Air Museums here in TX and I minored in photography. Would love to take a stab at making some photo realistic shots for you if you decide to make something else.
