[REPORTED]WW2 multiplayer tracer bug?
DefaultFace replied to Bounder's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I can confirm that I and numerous others I know have this bug fairly regularly. All the stuff about it affecting numerous people after about the same length of rime sounds familiar as well. We noticed that the worse that server lag seems to be, the sooner it occurs. For us a disconnect and reconnect solved the issue. It also seems that when you shoot things without tracers, it tends to do less damage. Maybe they arent invisible, but disappear alltogether? -
How to fire all R4M rockets in automatic
DefaultFace replied to OziRekt's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
I don't think there is. -

LUFTWAFFE & ROYAL AIR FORCE SQUARE OFF IN A GRUDGE MATCH!
DefaultFace replied to FLANKERATOR's topic in Tournaments & Events
Some of the most stressful flying ever :O But tons of fun. Thanks to Flankernator, Hook and eekz as well as ED for a great event, and great flying by all sides. -
+1 Definitely
-
Well then you 2 can do the laundry while David and I take our stinky unsafe selves on a joyride through France and England!
-
I agree with the others here. If this is 'low detail' I can't really tell. Awesome work ED. Also, what Raven said. Release it already! :P :D

Apparently the spit doesn't have stick forces on the elevators yet. From when I've flown it definitely seems like this contributes to the jerkier stick movements resulting in sudden blackouts.
-
Totally true. 109 OP confirmed :megalol: Yes blackout needs some work. Often incredibly sudden at times when it shouldn't be and sometimes it just jumps into a blackout without the stick even being moved.

Crashed again

DCS: Me 262 Discussion (Development on hold currently)
DefaultFace replied to NineLine's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
I was under the impression they had been having some more luck with the hunt for Thunderjug info but yeah as you said everything is subject to change I guess. -
anti aliasing and anisotropic filtering at 2x helps. 0x is better but becomes very ugly graphics wise.

How to use Dora's energy advantage over Mustang?
DefaultFace replied to Istari6's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Yes the Mustang is very fast in a dive. If you want to run a shallow climb is usually better. Get some distance and then BnZ if you aren't comfortable dogfighting with the Mustang (it is possible but not easy). As for him always turning below you, maybe try using flaps and even reducing power a bit to sharpen the turn. You gotta know when to do it though as it will obviously bleed energy. -
No problem. Glad to see you got it working now. As for the FW I never prime there either. Also hold the starter for a long time (almost 30 seconds) to get it spun up. Other than that the procedure is pretty much the same.
-
The pressure gauge is not supposed to show anything without the engine running. This was corrected by ED some time ago. No idea what is written in chucks guide, or if it is anywhere near up to date. Don't prime and follow the procedure I wrote above, or any other procedure you like. I fly this thing almost every day and never have problems. No one is trying to debate with you, the aircraft is startable. Obviously you are doing something wrong somewhere or you have a broken install maybe?
-
dont pump. 0 times. mags on, fuel pump on, push all the circuit breakers in (except lights if you like, or the radio as well if you dont want it), mw50 switch to the right, signal the ground crew and let the inertial starter spin all the way up. be patient and wait for it. then pull the clutch and hold it till the motor starts. maybe this is a dumb tip but dont touch the engine stop lever. leave it down. I have never in any patch, in sp or mp ever had problems starting the engine. only exception is acg in the winter mission, where you occasionally have to prime.

So flying multiplayer tonight on the Burning Skies MAD noticed that closing the canopy he could hear hydraulic sounds (like on the jets for closing the canopy) when I closed my canopy. I heard them on his aircraft as well. My own canopy sounds were normal from inside the cockpit. Testing it in singleplayer it all sounds normal.

1.55 release version-missing gun sound
DefaultFace replied to 9.JG27 DavidRed's topic in Bugs and Problems
This bug seems to have gotten worse in the 1.5.6 patch. I now regularly lose the cannon sound, especially in dogfights online when alot is going on. -

It is most certainly an exception. I'm sorry but yesterday 3 times alone I shot P-51s with 30mm and they just smoke a little and fly on home. I have a video somewhere of a P-51 absorbing 5 30mm hits in the tail and being just fine (admittedly also an outlier). Generally it takes about 2 or 3 to kill an enemy. In my experience Spits are a bit more believable than Mustangs in this area. Is it possible to one hit? Sure. But it rarely ever happens.
-
30mm One hitting? What reality are you living in and how do I get there?
-
eekz please add a ping limit on the server. People flying around with 400 ping only make for warpy targets and ruin server performance.

Its the trailer soundtrack. Sorry if the title was misleading. Sorta just posted it in between sorties so wasnt fully concentrating.
