Too much window tint after 2.1.1.8244 Update 1

Aha I understand. Thanks anyway. :) Edit: Maybe as a workaround they could be added to the faces of the instruments themselves? Not sure if it would look good or realistic though. -

Pato has the Revi been reworked as well? Also any chance of getting the little red triangles on the ATA, RPM and Airspeed indicators? Nice mod btw. Look forward to using it now that its online compatible. -
The AA seems to work in typical DCS fashion in that it's completely random. You can buzz around the airfield for 10 minutes straight and level and then when you start maneuvering it snipes you out of the sky. Or it sucks when in close but when you turn to leave and climb away you get killed by it. Completely unuseable but hey it's a nice 3D model right.... I don't think making a bigger map will do any good with spotting being as horrendous as it is now. Especially since you're usually hard pressed to get more than 5 or 6 players on a server..... I also highly doubt that the release of the DM will cause a sudden massive uptick of players. Especially since there will be other options for Western front fans on the market 'soon'.

I don't think the people you are trying to reach read the forum........:megalol:

@3mta3 The harrier actually has a built in JPTL shutoff if you slam the throttle forward hard enough (30-35 lbs of force according to NATOPS). This isn't implemented yet in DCS. I'm not sure to what extent the JPTL is implimented in the Harrier yet either. I've tried turning it off a few times when noticing I've lost thrust to see if it was just the engine overheating and I could force overheat it to get enough thrust to at least survive the landing but it didn't appear to do anything. As for the JPT max if you hit the MPCD buttons above the JPT sortie max you can reset it.
-
I'm sure a certain amount of it is human error but as I said I've been taking great care in monitoring JPT and time at or above the power threshholds. I've had several sorties with Sortie max JPT numbers well below the normal lift limits and certainly for less than the time limits stated in the manual. I've also noted OT times of about 4 seconds (seems to be the time it takes between JPT spiking at high power and water kicking in) even with these low JPT maximums. Alot of the times in these sorties I notice the engine needing more power to takeoff or land, needing water injection at weights where it normally doesn't or simply lacking the thrust to hold the aircraft.
-
I've been noticing something similar. Especially after flying a sortie where you took off with water the engine seems to slowly lose thrust. I just did one where I took off and had a max JPT on takeoff of 765 only shortly and with water) and when I came back I put the water switch in landing just in case I'd need it. Surprisingly enough I needed almost full power and Water injection to land at ~18-20000 lbs gross weight. Funnily enough I have a hard time killing the engine if I don't use the water though. Obviously you have to be a bit lighter for this but I find it sticks to the engine limitations better if you do this. With it on sometimes the JPT will just climb to 900 all of a sudden. Also with water injection the RPM and JPT indicators disappear above 105% RPM and the power margins are not shown????

External fuel tanks are misaligned with pylon

I noticed lots of people talking about the tgp but for me it’s fine. Maybe it’s dependent on if you have the gun pod loaded as well? -
:( ok. No clue then.
-
I think maybe hes seeing the pitch ladder move left and right when rolling. I noticed this in the preview videos too, but figured its wip.
-
Kestrel on the MPCD page for the pod hit one of the buttons on the bottom to get out of slave mode.

Hi razor, try and repair your installation. I had this as well as just black/grey screens on the DMT and Navflir. My guess is it copied some stuff from 2.1 that isnt compatible but im not sure. No issues after a repair though.
-
Tbh wouldn't be that big of a deal if it was at least the release version. I get to install a 3rd version of DCS now....... smh
-
Not supposed to be mean but ok. Was just saying that I don’t think posting skins of non NA harriers is OT anymore, since the official liveries have been announced, nor does it really make sense to downvote people for it.
-
I think this thread has moved past collecting pictures of NA versions for the devs.... Who cares if if silly people give you - rep.
-
I’m sure someone will program them fairly quickly if it isn’t implemented as standard. Seems to have happened with just about every other module too.
-
+1 I was hoping someone would post that skin. Would be cool to see the community do some older day attack style skins.
-
Yeah cause those will be ready in 2 weeks right......
-
That’s actually a cool idea. Would definitely be viable if a pad was lowered. I already figured out that you can line them up one after the other to make a longer ‘runway’ but the pad was still a limiting factor.
-
Zeus himself already said that it needs to be adjusted.
-
more Nozzle glow @2:15. also a cool channel for harrier vids.

I'm sure it's similar in the strike eagle. IIRC it uses LANTIRN though. Well a mod can't fix the color since there is a texture issue with the green that will limit the functionality. I'm sure RAZBAM will do what they can to try and simulate the system as best as possible within what DCS allows them to do. Only the devs can really answer that question though.
