  1. It was mentioned on reddit that the reason is the FM tweaks mentioned on the store page.
  2. r/noearthsociety holds the only truth in this debate. Earth is neither flat, nor round, it simply doesn't exist. Although I always thought the Dinosaur earth theorists had some quite compelling arguments...
  3. I was replying to the post above mine. The one talking about shooting Phoenixs in ACM mode to go hunt for whatever the onboard Radar deems fit. Kind of like what you can do with the 120...
  4. Uhhh, replying to the guy above me.....? Not sure what there is to be confused about...
  5. If you watch videos of them IRL most of them tend to ignite much sooner than in DCS. They drop, almost immediately ignite, but continue falling a bit till they pick up speed, and about the time they ignite in DCS, is where they pitch up again to level and then loft away. That being said this might be one of those things about the missiles that is DCS controlled, and can't be changed by HB atm.
  6. There's only one server. Burning Skies. See the MP forum section, or tournaments for special events.
  7. IIRC it was tested in late 43, but abandoned in favor of the Erhöhte Notleistung system you mentioned. (They discovered cracks in the engine somewhere, can't remember exactly where but I think thats part of why they gave up on it). I believe the 801D/Q series used on the A-8 ran only on C3 as well. No B4 for late 190s.
  8. Aha, now that I see it on screen I see what you mean. Its much darker in VR. Either way its far darker than it should be. Even if the sky was lighter I think it would still not be quite right.
  9. I believe there was a B-29 "Mothership" they followed back and forth, which had more sophisticated nav equipment than they did. At least I've read it was like that once before but I don't remember it in detail.
  10. That wing is almost certainly not bare metal, but being painted another colour (OD?). The second picture, while not polished like the fuselage, still looks nothing like the current default textures.
  11. Stop being silly. Go take an actual look at a couple of pictures and you'll see some were, and some weren't. "I read that he said, she said....." and "ED are pros they must know what they're doing". Notice how on the real aircraft the flaps don't glow neon dark blue from certain angles either? Or is that another sekrit detail that ED picked up that no one has ever seen in the real world before??? The textures just haven't been updated for the new lighting system. Period.
  12. Thats an issue as well, but the flaps are something different. Its only the flaps and not the rest of the aircraft. Maybe its only VR idk.
  13. Ehhh... I think the textures just haven't been updated for PBR. While it's true some Mustangs had the wings less shiny than the fuselage, not all of them do. You can find pictures of both cases. Also the flaps glow dark blue at certain angles with some of the normal textures... Which is definitely not correct.
  14. And a bunch of maps and planes for another sim.....
  15. Its possible the Dora uses a different system to pressurise MW injection. The original MW-50 modification kits for G-6s also used a separate bottle as a pressure source rather than draw it from the Supercharger. That changed with the introduction of the G-14. Either way MW-50 only really provides cooling above FTH, the increase in HP brought above that altitude is not really huge.
  16. I believe it's in Minsk. Although the stats page used to have a Ukranian web address so maybe its there?
  17. So should we have Ta-152s and 2 ATA K-4s and Ho-229s and Do-335s too? There were 1 or 2 of each of those but they existed so that means ED absolutely has to model them???
  18. "This isn't my favorite thing to do in a video game so obviously no one else likes it either. And anyone who does is wrong." Also the new P-51 is quite literally a reskin. The only other thing they are working on is a higher engine rating/higher octane fuel. This doesn't make it a different airplane/variant.
  19. We understand what you mean. It’s just incorrect.
  20. 72" is very much historical. But it was only used for Mustangs based in england for a period between about mid44 and early-mid 45. From what I can tell the Mustangs we have were around maybe for the last month or 2 of that if at all in the ETO.
  21. Issue usually occurs in MP. Tracks are horrendously unreliable in SP as it is but the MP ones are even worse. Ill try and keep an eye out when I fly but unless it happens on the first flight after joining a server, less than a few minutes after takeoff its unlikely that it will be replicated in a track. As far as Sync issues its possible but every time Ive had it everyone I was flying with saw exactly the same. Maybe discrepancies between visual and actual DM.......?
  22. You can takeoff with 1.8 ATA if you set the prop accordingly, its no problem.
  23. Didn't david help you translate the remaining parts from the first interview some time ago? Are you going to post these together with the second interview? Either way good to hear. I'm sure it will be interesting to watch. I assume this is in concert with the work going on with the A-8?
  24. I agree with you on the planeset. And your statement in bold. 100% Maybe I exaggerated a bit with hopelessly outmatched but it wasn't directed at you or 1 person in particular, just in general at posts like the ones from Cik, or Campbells above yours, or generally people calling others luftwhiners or whatever. These threads always start out well with decent discussion of relative performance and devolve into stupid fights about which team has it easier and why that makes someone the better pilot.
