  1. Out!
  2. "500093" and her pilot, Dieter Krägeloh were shot down by British AA during Operation Bodenplatte. Though injured, Krägeloh survived. Released! Includes: - Versions with and without swastika - Completely remade normal and specular maps - Remade weathering - Texture files are less compressed and higher quality (Minimal to no effect on performance, though higher filesize in return) Installation: #1 Unzip folder to Your DCS installation folder/Bazar/Liveries/FW-190D9 #2 In skin folder, choose .lua file from two sub-folders for swastika or clean and copy file to main folder with other files (Default .lua file is for swastika!) #3 In DCS, select "Payload" tab in Mission Planner and select the skin from the Paint Scheme dropmenu below Download: http://www.mediafire.com/download/x4dzbas36wbuzzu/Yellow13JG26_updated.7z Screenshots in spoiler:

  5. Excellent! Some good things he mentioned, very relevant to DCS: - Always 3-point landing, whether 190 or 109 - Try to keep your landing approach at 200km/h or above - You very rarely need to apply brakes on takeoff, rudder is enough The 0.9-1.2 ata comment was interesting. Is it way too low for DCS simply because everyone is full throttle 99% of the time anyway? :D Are we going to see more neutral tracers in the future?
  6. Heh. I should know, I'm Finnish.
  7. Mean or not, that's no accent to narrate a documentary with. I wanted to watch it, but couldn't understand half of the words because he starts to talk a lot faster after a minute or so, and it go annoying fast.
  8. MSI Afterburner or VLC? Not sure about Win 8, but all of this functionality is on Win 7. Worth a try. I'm fairly certain Fraps has already been overshadowed by far superior, even free software.
  9. No textures, parts like the safety have been very simplified since the actual shape drove me almost crazy. This is about as far as I'm interested in taking it.
  10. From Echo38, slightly modified: Startup options: both cold start & engine-running options available Map Settings: no icons visibility aids: none Required time to find combat: 1 to 5 minutes Objectives: Air combat and optional ground targets Weather: good flying weather / mild crosswinds AI aircraft: Some until player count reaches a certain point TS availability: It'd be nice. Of course the biggest requirement in my opinion: Proper 1944 map, ground units and more planes! Online combat right now is just stale.
  11. Out!
  12. It was rare, that statement above is just complete BS. Not only is the first operational Dora extremely well documented and researched (Dortenmann and 210003, third production plane to roll off the assembly line in September 1944), first K-4's went to units in September/October as well.
  13. DXT5 has no better compression quality than DXT1, DXT5 just includes the alpha channel. You most likely won't need the alpha channel, so check if your file has use for it and save accordingly. I recommend using "Generate MIP maps" for a more natural and realistic look from a distance. For compression, you should test and see what works best for you, although only modes that I know to work with DCS are DXT1 RGB, DXT5, 8.8.8 RGB and 8.8.8.8 ARGB. Personally, I use 8.8.8 RGB for all of my work to achieve best quality. Downside is that with 8.8.8 filesizes are much larger and it might affect loading times.
  14. Being remade.
  15. Thank you.
  16. Out.
  17. Thanks!
  18. "330204" flown by Herbert Abendroth. Released! 20. One of the few pictured K-4's painted in the "Bodenwöhr" pattern also having unit and individual markings. Released! 21. Thanks! Still missing lot of the smaller details, but definitely recognizable.
  22. Shaping up.
  23. It was supposed to be just a table! http://i.imgur.com/yNlqWbh.png (lmk if you have any ideas about what to add to the table.) Another larger project also:
  24. I'm quite sure it was IL-2: Cliffs of Dover. This topic certainly makes me feel young.
  25. Well, I'm getting there ;) Thanks.
