I normally don't post here, but I must say I think we don't have to argue.
So what if the FTH is a thousand feet higher? So what if the speed is 5% better at certain altitudes? These differences are minute and frankly and slight advantages will just help level the playing field a bit more between a 1943 and a 1945 plane. Will the simulation still be the most accurate Spitfire simulation to date? Absolutely!
Besides, didn't we have the same arguments about over and under performance when the 190 and 109 came out?
However it is an enlightening discussion - thanks for the straight and to-the-point information, YoYo! Can't wait to fly the Spitfire.

The MiG 29 6dof update might just be enough for me to switch back to flying modern jets in DCS. I must say, the Flanker is sexier, but the MiG 29 is fun as hell!

Sorry for OT, I just finished reading Invasions Without Tears, it's a great book! Is the Johnnie Johnson book good? I've read Wing Leader, his autobiography, which is quite good, but not that one.
Well it's 2015 already, where's my Spit? :D
I'm fine with it whenever it comes as long as it's as well done as the other DCS warbirds and I think it will. Spitfires FTW!

Was actually a Spit IX. And the Spit was a great zoom climber, Johnson said that until they got the paddle bladed props the Spit soared away from him in all climbs.
