  4. This pertains more to the AI. But in FC2 it seems the radar is always emitting. Would be really sweet to see these SAMs shut down the radar and work together with other stations to defeat ARMs.
  5. The best workaround IMO is just adding more triggers and scripts.
  6. Hey I didnt ask for excuses :) And playing FC2/BS I always have less than 50% CPU usage. Now I am not saying the solution is easy. But I think that a flight sim is one of the types of games that is perfectly suited to multithreading. Sensor thread, flight dynamics thread, hydraulics thread, weather thread, AI thread. From my extremely limited knowledge of software and coding it just seems to me that flight sims could be compartmentalized.

  10. Interesting that I have yet to see anyone with any real world experience spotting armor/vehicles at a distance have expressed any problem. The sim is still easier to spot that IRL.
  11. Having trained as a heavy anti-armor infantryman for 6 years, I can tell you that trying to spot armor from a distance in real life is far harder than even FC2. And I was one of the best in the unit. Why do you think the military uses vehicle identification panels, and even then there are friendly kills? FC1 was a turkey shoot. You could just make multiple passes until everything was dead. In real life you are going to make a single pass, and then you are going to wait for recon data from another flight or the ground to determine the damage you did. I applaud the devs for making it harder. Now if there was better ground vegetation and the ground AI took evasive maneuvers. IMO if you want it easy, use labels, arcade mode, or get Ace Combat.
  12. The eye is most sensitive to green. Same reason NVGs are green.

  14. Seems to me its a problem with using TIR for zoom.
  15. Tacview may use it, but there are ways to make the tacview ACMI without exports enabled.

  17. I am running 5.0.300. I eventually got it working after many reinstalls of FC2 and TIR software. Good thing it wasnt like BS, when I was trying to get it running OK I burned through activations, no such problem with FC2.
  18. For some reason FC2 my TIR is not being recognized. It is not creating the serialized LUA file like it does for my Cougar and CH pedals. Works in BS, works in FC1, just not in FC2. Before you could delete the LUA files in the input folder, but that doesnt seem to work here.

  22. When talking about the missile and radar the F-15, realistically, is far superior. Seems to me you are the one who only cares about realism when it suits you. I cant wait to see what 2.0 has to offer. And I hope I live to see a fighter DCS series. But I really, really cant wait to see the tears when both come.
  23. I think there is a way to create some sort of virtual link so you could just create a virtual folder in BS that actually goes to the A10C folder. I forget all the specifics, but I am sure you could do it. Would be easy to test given the right procedure on how to create the link.

  25. I made a post regarding this a long time ago. All you need is common data that is passed between clients. After that you just need different clients. If there was enough cooperation you could even work with one of the companies already doing FPS to make the FPS client. As far as tracking infantry units the data is not that hard, no different than now. X,Y,Z.
